Well, I went here about a week ago, as we were walking in the area, so we thought we would drop in. Lovely medium sized pub, with 2 sides. As we had a dog, we went in the pub side, where we nesteled in the corner. Attractive bar, and fire (which wasn't being used on a freezing cold sunday??), as well as nice seating arrangements.
Didn't really look into the beer selections as I was driving, but the ladies had a glass of mulled wine each at a very well priced £2.00 a glass. Perfect on such a cold day.
Food wise, we all went for the roast and at £9.50 per person we weren't dissapointed, with giant sized yorkshire puddings, stuffing balls, roasties and more veg you can wave a stick at!! Perfect sunday food!! The menu gave a full selection of different English meals such as duck, steak etc etc.
The staff were halpfu land friendly and the cook also gave our dog extra spuds as he was being so good!!
We didn't have a look at the restaurant as it was too busy, so can't comment.
Overall, we all said that we would come here again, and would recommend it to any of our friends!! read more
