We took a quick trip to Wales for the bank holiday weekend - since we had a free night at the St. Pierre we had to use up. Luckily we noticed this place as we drove by because the hotel restaurant was fully booked that evening! Anyhow, we really liked how cozy it felt when you first walked into the place. We were greeted by the bartender and had a quick drink in the bar while we looked over the menu.
After placing the order, we moved into the restaurant for our meal. The homemade bread with butter was really nice to start the meal off. The main dining area had a different homey kind of feel - exactly what we were looking for in the countryside.
My husband ordered the welsh lamb and it was deliciously. I had the pork and wild board sausages with mash which was comforting food. Exactly what we looking for after an afternoon hiking.
Service was really good - lovely people who run it. Would definitely be back next time we are in the area. read more
