I heard about Kim at the Hide Away Salon and her hair treatments. So I went to to her to get a hair cut and her split end treatment. I was in complete shock on what she did to my hair, it was magic! I told her not to cut a lot off my hair and she actually listened to me. She performed a split end treatment which was awesome. She made my split end rough hair, into shiny smooth perfection! She was saying how confident she was that my hair would look amazing and that I'd only need to come in every 6 months or so to touch it up. She said how she had 20+ years experience and learned how to do Asian hair in San Diego. She said she was proud of her work and wanted to make her clients happy, even mentioning how some stylists she used to work with weren't as good. Lmao what a joke! I was there for about 6 hours and not only was it so painful because she was being so rough with my hair, it also came out so incredibly splotchy and uneven. I was super shocked at all the different colors... when I mentioned it to her, she said purple shampoo would fix it (it obviously did not lol). I asked her for a refund because of how much it'll cost to color correct it and she said it'd only required a touch up and I should be patient. She lied and said she told me it'd take multiple sessions (which doesn't even matter because I told her I'd be ok with a darker color so I can work up to it in multiple sessions. Who even lets you walk out with hair like that?). It was so incredibly embarrassing to have hair like that. I wore my hair up the entire time after going to Reds and even canceled plans with friends because of it. I was desperate to get it fixed so I asked her for a sooner appointment. Instead of taking responsibility, she just kept implying I was being dramatic. Thank god I didn't let Chrissy touch my hair again. I reached out to another hairdresser for their opinion and they were so shocked by how awful of a job Chrissy did. Not only was the bleach uneven around my head, it was also uneven on the actual individual strands. The whole time my new hairdresser did my hair she kept asking me what happened, what on earth Chrissy did, and if she was on something because it was so weird and randomly bleached. It took another 6 hours, $300+, & a miracle to fix. It's so messed up that Chrissy didn't refund me after having this super awful experience, but hopefully I can prevent other ppl from experiencing her terror. Save yourselves and go elsewhere. Chick should have understood that Asian hair especially being so dark and when exposed to the sunlight turns tones under the top layers even tho you can't see them!
