Most of the time I felt nothing other than the head of the laser device gliding across the skin. Whatever machine they are using, it's clearly top of the line. And the price was quite reasonable compared to the other salons I contacted. Some of the quotes I received were downright absurd. Juan was very down to earth and reasonable. Unfortunately, my experience at this location was deeply disappointing and concerning. From the start, there were red flags. The appointment took an unusually long time for a straightforward Botox procedure, and there was no doctor or supervising medical professional on site--only injector nurses. I was told to return in two weeks for a follow-up, which is not standard protocol for authentic Botox treatments from Allergan. In all my years of experience, I have never been required to come back for a "follow-up" unless something went wrong or the product used was questionable. *The owner responded that she did not find my name so I edited this review to include my name and validate this review. The name is Gregoria L and the visit was this year in May . Based on the results and the experience, I strongly suspect I was not injected with genuine Botox. When I raised my concerns and asked for a refund, I was met with complete resistance and a flat-out refusal. This was a frustrating and unsettling experience. I do not feel confident that proper or authentic materials were used, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone seeking legitimate, professional cosmetic treatments. I am an Asian male-to-female transgender and have so far received 6 treatments over the last 6 months for my bikini area and full legs with clearly visible results. Hair growth has been reduced by about 85% on my legs and 60% in my bikini area with fewer and finer hair growing back between each treatment. Fortunately, I did not experience any negative side effects from the treatments. As a biological male, my hair was thicker than that of women, but the hair reduction has been very effective. I have Colleen as my laser technician, and she is very experienced with laser hair removal. She will never rush through a session, and is very meticulous even when treating a large area. She slows down for you while treating sensitive areas where you need a longer interval to let the pain subside. She will always listen to your pain level and adjust accordingly. She has also been very respectful and understanding of my situation as a transgendered client. I am 100% satisfied with Colleen's service. I feel that my privacy is kept very well, and I never meet other patients during my treatment. Milan is one of the few laser hair removal facilities that can perform hair removal in the bikini area for male/transgendered clients. The laser system is powerful so that the pain in the sensitive areas can be high, but in turn the treatments have been definitely effective for me. The laser system used here have a cooling gas that is emitted with the laser, reducing the discomfort. The only reason why I did not treat my upper body is because I have already completed electrolysis treatment from a different provider in the past. If I had a need to remove hair from other parts of the body with laser, I would have definitely selected Milan. I would say the pricing is what you would expect from a high-quality laser hair removal service, but given the excellent service I am receiving, I can fully understand why. First of all, the first lady I had for my first 2 or 3 sessions, I think the machine was on low because it was not painful at all. Fast forward to my 4th session with Taylor, and it hurt like a b!***! (which is normal and expected). It was just a huge jump. Then I found out the lady who I had for my first 2 or 3 sessions was no longer with the company. This might have had something to do with my results (maybe she wasn't doing it right? It didn't hurt at all). My results are not that great. I still grow a lot of hair in the regions I got lasered even after 6 sessions. I know it's never a guarantee, but they promised around 70-80% removal and I wanna say it's at like 40-50%. I currently go to a new place that I left 2 reviews for already, and I already see a difference after 2 sessions, more than what I saw when I was at AH Laser. It's not really worth it here for the price when it comes to laser hair removal. I don't know what lasers they use, but that might have something to do with it, as well. I recommend trying another place out first.
