They have known for weeks that she was having surgery and have yet to send over to the surgeon her release papers. Her surgery is scheduled for Monday, June 8th. The offices have been closed since Thursday. She went to see them on Wednesday and was promised after several weeks of "yes, we are sending it over" to "yes we will send it today, Wednesday, June 3rd. Well, we called the surgeon today to verify that they got the release forms and nothing. Not only has this caused undue angst to my friend, but the surgery will also have to be postponed and just imagine the surgeon and his staff - the cost of their valuable time. I am planning on suing them. No excuse. This behavior is unacceptable.

Today I sent in a refill request through MyChart as I sit in an urgent care waiting room where I am paying a $40 copay to get 3 pills to get me through my work trip this week as I am having side effects of not taking it for 3 days now. This is the second time within the past year I have encountered a non-response or over 1 week delay in refilling my medication (I only take 1). Due to the delay in care, the non-response, and poor communication- I am changing PCPs after 5 years with them as there has been a trending decline in their care.

In a highly regulated world where clinicians have to follow so many protocols for State and Federal requirements BHP strives to meet these standards while not losing the reason we all come to work every day...to provide excellent care because we value what we do and who we care for! Outside of the excellent clinical staff we have dedicated leadership and administrative support teams who work passionately every day to serve this same common goal!

The answering message stated the I should allow THREE BUSINESS DAYS to get my call returned. One message asked for a good time to call, I gave it to the machine, and no call during that timeframe, just other call backs that I could not answer as I was at work. With every returned call, I got that same rather insulting message and the caution that subsequent messages could DELAY their response (?). I ended up giving up trying to get them to see me for severe depression (which they had made worse...). This is a callous and careless way to treat people with behavioral heath problems. Addendum: I recently got a message to call them "if I still wanted an appointment". Absolutely no way. I do not recommend this group, but as it is so difficult to get an appointment, it's probably a moot point.

He and his staff have always been professional and treated me accordingly. I disagree with Larry K.'s review; perhaps he had a bad day. Any doctor's office or medical center one visits, there will always be a wait, even if the staff gives you an appointment. Too many folks leave negative reviews in anger when they're simply not justified. Some years ago, I went to an optometrist who was lousy. As an older patient, she was treating my husband's eyes so I thought I'd do the same. Big mistake. Based on an eye exam she gave me, she concluded that I had cataracts/early stages of glaucoma and needed potential eye surgery. She also charged me $400 for the eyeglasses I now wear. Ridiculous. I then realized that not only was I overcharged but was out of network. I switched to Dr. Singh at The Medical Eye Center. He's more thorough than an optometrist and much more professional. I'm very comfortable with Dr. Singh as my "eye doctor" and appreciate his professionalism and that reflected of his staff. ~
