Would love to give a higher rating and better review, because the PT was fine. Overall the actual…read morecare provided was good, sound, and effective. However, the hassle and inconvenience of dealing with repeated messes created by the inept and unprofessional receptionist/office worker can't be overlooked. I have never experienced such an persistantly aggravating situation with a medical practice. Prior to my first appointment, she insisted that I obtain a referral, even though I verified with my insurance company that I did not need one. This cost me $100 out of pocket, and was time wasted before therapy could begin. At my first appointment, she asked questions but did not listen to the answers, was distracted, interrupted her own work to chatter, and wouldn't allow me to fill out my history and intake forms, insisting it was easier if she did it. This resulted in her repeating my personal information loudly in front of all in the one-room facility until I declined to repeat my SSN again and finished the form myself. She recorded some of that information incorrectly- confusing guarantor information with patient's information - which necessitated multiple calls to the insurance company on my part. She then filed numerous visit claims incorrectly causing those claims to be denied. I had to spend hours on the phone over weeks, as each mistake occurred, to provide correct explanation to the insurance company and have the claims resubmitted correctly for processing. Four stars for the care. Zero for the office management.

My daughter has a tendency to get easily distracted and she did wonderfully keeping her engaged yet still loving the therapy. In fact, my oldest daughter often wanted to join in on the fun. In addition to the in-person therapy, Kelli also provided us with fun exercises we could do on our own to supplement our learning and she also provided me support when working through an IEP re-evaluation. I couldn't ask for more!

Wings To Fly Therapy Center has been an awesome experience for us. We've been working with Denise…read morethe OT for 2 years now and most recently Kate the SLP. I could not be more pleased with the attention to detail of the providers, feedback to me the parent after each visit, and the progress that my kids have made. Kate is working RPM in conjunction with a home program for one of my boys and we are amazed each week by what he knows and most importantly, that he can now have a way to show us. Denise maintains phenomenal instructional control and works specifics for fine motor improvement, spacial awareness, hand eye coordination etc. I also love that she will try new things to elicit a new response to similar stimuli. She's always thinking of new ways to achieve results. I find the therapists to be "real people", knowledgeable in their trade, professional, and loving towards kids. The atmosphere is another plus. It's a welcoming Center with a waiting room that would put other center's to shame. There are tables to work at your computer, things to keep your other kids occupied and there is also a huge play room with ball pit, trampoline and swings available. The owner knows the world well and lives it daily. That is why she makes every effort to make the experience a great one for not only the kids, yet the families and caregivers who are present also. It's clean, free parking and right off 28 and 66. For us, it's an A+. I am available to chat with anyone who wants more detail from a parent's perspective. If you ask the owner, she can pass on your contact details to me. I'm in there at least once per week!

If I could give Care Haven negative stars, I would…read more Our first impression upon my mom arriving there was her roommate being yelled at and she was crying. The aide, after coming to the room for the 3rd or 4th time, said she isn't going to come back and help her anymore. Not a very good impression at all. Should have been a clue to take my mom out right then and there. There were a couple of good nurses and aides but most of them, didn't care about the patients. And you can't say they were there for the paycheck as I understand they didn't get paid very much and the aide turnover was high. And my mom wanted to go back to the hospital that same night and the nurse there said if she leaves, she can't come back. Um, why would she want to. My mom was there for a little over 2 weeks, my biggest mistake and regret. Her last week there, I would come in and she would have feces under her fingernails and on her hands. I had to clean her up every time and not sure how long it had been there. They put her in a bed and left her and never checked up on her. She even had some feces on the side of her mouth because her mouth was so dry and her lips dry that she would rub her lips. Very unsanitary. She was supposed to be on antibiotics for the rest of her life per her doctor but after a week, they stopped so when she went back to the ER, they said she had a severe infection. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. And when it came to meals, if she said she didn't want it, they would take it away instead of leaving in case she might eat some of it later. So they starved her. Oh, and their social worker, not sure where she went to medical school and got her PHD, but she diagnosed her as having dementia. According to her doctor, that has to be diagnosed by an MD/DO and psychiatrist and then its hard to diagnose because there could be something else causing confusion. In my moms case, it was the lack of proper nutrition/nutrition at all. And the said she was there to die yet when the hospital transferred her, she was supposed to be there for rehab. The day before I took my mom out of there, I asked the head nurse or not real sure what her title was, about putting in a feeding tube. She said they don't normally do that because of risks and thats when she said my mom was sent there to die. Not her exact words but no compassion in the way she said it either. In fact, no one there had any compassion for any of the patients. And the person in charge of billing was only interested in money. Kept telling me I needed to get my mom on Long Term Medicaid or we have to pay like $4,000- a month. Please, please do not send your loved one to this place. If you care about them at all. And I believe in karma so all those people that treated her like a dead money bank, it will come back to them and they will be in that same situation one day and I hope they remember how they treated my mom. Oh, and no coincidence but her roommate went back to the ER a few days before my mom and I was selling stuff and her sister came to my house. Didn't know them prior to all of this and her sister was telling me how bad the roommate was being treated and they were trying to kill her too. She had carbon monxide poisioning from that place. Glad I took my mom out.

The center was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. There were no unpleasant odors coming from the rooms as I walked past the many rooms to get to the room where my friend is temporarily residing. Once we realized my younger son…read moreneeded help we went around for evaluations at different places and decided on Creative Health. I believe it was the best decision we could've made because my son gets both speech and OT therapy that is coordinated. The therapists, all the staff, Judy and Richard have been a wonderful support to our family and we can honestly say that thanks to this amazing team both of my sons have made great progress. My younger son went from not being able to communicate and being afraid of the world around him and many activities that most toddlers do to being able to communicate/have conversations and engaging with other children and activities. He's now making great progress on his fine motor skills, so many of his sensory challenges have resolved and he's even eating different foods/textures now. There are so many progresses my kids have made that it's hard to list them all. I'm thankful we found this facility. Their DIR Floor time approach helped my son to be comfortable with his team so when we started he didn't spend time in meltdown mode and was able to participate and engage with his therapists. I believe this approach was very key to the success we've seen in his progress. I believe having both speech and OT in this whole/body whole/person approach has had a great positive impact. Additionally, the facility really meets their therapy needs with spacious rooms with different themes and different activities to work on different therapy needs. My kids are excited and happy to go to therapy. They are never bored as they go to different rooms each week that keeps them engaged. Judy and Richard and the therapists always make time for me whenever I have a question or just need someone to talk to. Richard really set our minds at ease with dealing the insurance companies. He understand their billing and makes sure we understand our coverage so we can get the most services covered for our kids. The therapists are very knowledgeable and work so well with the kids. Judy has let us look over her library of books and resources and been a great support. We do Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Listening Therapy, Interactive Metronome. We highly recommend Creative Health!
