I'm a regular at Pam's Pets, we go a lot for supplies and maintenance items and feeder insects…read morealmost weekly. Recently they got two baby whites tree frogs and i've been looking at them the past couple times i've gone in (i already have two very healthy adult whites tree frogs) Today however, I went in for crickets and went to check on them and one was clearly dead. I tried my best not to say anything in store as other people were there and i was very uncomfortable and called after I left, wondering if it was maybe sick. I know they've just had a lot of new staff roll in but i was disturbed. The manager (who i will not name but i'm sure if you know you know ) tried telling me they didn't even have tree frogs and they wouldn't house two together if they even did, to which i said "I was just there and have been seeing them the past couple of weeks at the front" and he goes "well yeah okay we have two they're fine, what's wrong with em ?" and when i begin to explain he gets an attitude and goes "Lady i'm not the owner" and was just so rude. I have seen this man be so ugly to customers throughout the past year i've been going almost weekly. It's never been directed at me so i've tried not to say anything to or about this man but after what i experienced today i will NOT be going back. I knew what i saw and I tried finding reviews and went to Yelp where finally I found people with similar stories about the place. I was aware they were rude but wasn't aware they were so neglectful to the animals in store. I'm disgusted. I almost took photos of the dead baby frog but i really didn't want it on my phone. I was hoping to be wrong but at this point after all i've seen (them not properly cleaning cages after getting new inventory and just putting animals in there, clearly not knowing what they've got and what is healthy vs unhealthy) I think they should be held accountable. While I know they have some great staff that actually care and know about animals, but clearly some really, REALLY, are damaging to the animals and their customer base.

I watched her and reported it to the manager. I also told Monica what I witnessed and told her he is never treated that way at home. 30 minutes later after we pick him up, he was still shaking. I do not recommend Petsmart to groom your dog. They do not care about your furr babies.

I arrived at this location at exactly 6:58 pm on a Sunday night…read more The doors were locked and I could see 4 customers in line (not a group of people, but 4 actual customers) - I knocked on the door and a young lady with glasses came to the door and stated we are closed. I stated I really needed to get some puppy food and I knew which aisle, and wont be an inconvenience so they could still close in a timely manner. She said to me "No man, the store is closed and that's that." Instead of arguing I walked away but felt disgusted with the way she had talked to me and the simple fact that there were other customers in line. I can understand she was only doing her job by following corporate mandates, but I know for a fact that talking to customers in that fashion has never been encouraged by Petsmart as I used to work for Petsmart in Houston Texas (Dairy Ashfiord location) in 1996. We were always encouraged to go above and beyond - which was Carmax's policy in the early 2000s as well. Here's a simple fact: You want more business - instead of spending millions of dollars in advertising why not follow the general marketing rule of making your customers happy so that we can give positive reviews and word of mouth to our friends and family. I do not expect any discounts or freebies, as I will be closing my online account as well. Here is the egg on your face Petsmart, I will spread this online far and wide until that location learns it's lesson in practicing customer etiquette such as treating people with respect. A simple but courteous comment such as I am sorry we are closed, or something else could have taken this in a different direction and I would have happily walked away. Instead, I will take my money to Petco along with Pam's Pet and Fish cause they might be a little more in price on certain products, but l would maintain my integrity instead of being treated like a moldy slice of bread that was left in the very back of the food pantry. and that's you Petsmart, treating me like moldy bread instead of a money spending customer that not only goes to your brick and mortar store, but also goes online to purchase many items and ALWAYS recommends this corporate citizen as I was a previous employee. I DO WANT SATISFACTION in knowing that this location has taken corrective measures in training people how to deal with other people that are customers and provide your lifeline - money. So with all of this said and in mind - you will not profit off of me anymore, and I will spread this far and wide online along with advisement to others that they too are customers and WE DO HAVE OTHER OPTIONS IN BUSINESS SELECTIONS.
