This is not a safe, healthy, place of healing. Drama flows freely and is allowed to snowball because of management's lack of willingness to address problematic residents who have a history and pattern of creating an uninhabitable environment. Do not go here. Do not let your kid go here. Use your money elsewhere. There are several great sober livings like South House, Psychic Change, Casa Pacifica, Ohana House and more to choose from in the same area. These are places that care about your wellbeing and promote a healthy, safe environment amenable to laying a foundation in sobriety. Sober Living Today and Ellie absolutely should be avoided. Horrible. All they care about is money not people. Beware. I write this purely to save the next person.

As her friend, I've visited the homes she rents to women in recovery. Ellie has invited me to attend events like rooftop yoga, breathwork classes and healthy cooking classes (which she pays for and offers to her residents free of charge). The accommodations are beautiful, clean, and decorated with taste and care (many are quite upscale and blocks from the beach!). Helping women struggling with alcoholism and addiction is not an easy business to be in. But Ellie manages it well. I would without a doubt recommend Ellie and Sober Living Today to any woman in need of a stable place to continue their recovery. They have a strong reputation in the community for a reason.

The only reason why I'm leaving 2 stars is because the therapists on site were actually helpful and did a great job. But the management and payment system is an absolute mess. After a month or two of being in I asked my therapist if I have an outstanding bill and if so how could I pay it off. She had no clue and lead me to another therapist, which lead me to another, which lead me to another. No one had any idea of if there was an outstanding bill or how to pay if there was. Since there seemed to be a consensus of no one knowing I assumed that my insurance was covering it. Man was I wrong... I graduated in July and moved on with my life, next thing I know 4 MONTHS LATER comes a bill. They expect me to pay one lump sum of cash that I just dont have. Hence why I was asking earlier in my enrollment so I could make manageable payments. So in mid November I made a call to the number listed on the bill to see how it could be resolved. No answer so I leave a message. Maybe I could have reached out more but I figured its the holiday's they must be busy someone will get back to me. Wrong again THEY SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS! I try to reach out and see how we are able to work things out and instead they choose to ignore and potentially ruin my credit! Again this review does not reflect the quality of the help I got with the staff. But unless you want a hefty bill months after you finish, I would look for help elsewhere.

I was not notified they were moving him and a few days later when I went there to pick him up for a Doctor's appointment not one person was wearing a mask (Psychologist's, Counselors, Office Staff, Van Drivers, etc.) and this was in June 2020 at the height of Covid-19! I removed him from this place immediately and he is now in a professional environment, Casa Recovery, where the price we paid for one week will cover 90 days, and where they take Covid-19 seriously as well as the recovery of their patients. Then, to add insult to injury, I was sent a bill for $1,000 for less than a week in this sober living hell hole. They charged our insurance $2,680 a day for boarding, $1,877 for outpatient group therapy and $1,838 for outpatient individual. All for less than 1 week! Heather was recommended to me by a friend when I shared that I was seeking an energy healer and psychic. It is no coincidence that Heather and I were brought together, just as it's no coincidence that you've now found yourself reading this review. I entered the session with the intention of clearing energy and gaining clarity in my life. I left not only feeling lighter and clearer, but also with profound insight into my soul's purpose and so much more. I received powerful downloads of knowledge, visuals, and wisdom that continue to resonate. Heather also shared practical tools and perspective shifts that I've been able to integrate into my daily life, supporting my ongoing growth and healing journey. Heather is truly gifted. She holds space with grace and compassion. She is a radiant light warrior with a deep connection to the divine. From start to finish, I felt calm, supported, and cared for in her presence. I was able to open up and be vulnerable in ways that felt safe and natural, which made the experience that much more powerful. To be so deeply seen can feel tender and raw, but it is also incredibly rewarding. Heather's work is a gift, and I am beyond grateful to have received it. She truly shows up and takes the work on with such strength and dedication. And trust me--she had her work cut out for her with me! LOL! We shared some good laughs as I arrived with what felt like lifetimes of baggage to unpack. I cannot recommend her highly enough, and I know I'll be returning for more sessions with her. Heather, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I am truly blessed to have crossed paths with you.
