Surrender sober living is amazing! Could not ask for a safer and cleaner sober living (and unfortunately/fortunately I have seen quite a few). Samantha, the owner, is genuine and caring. She puts a lot of effort and love into the house and wants the girls to succeed. The house has a family energy and the girls I live with, I consider my sisters. I learned how to be a woman of grace and dignity here, from our weekly house meetings, hanging out on the couch and the structure. This is where I gained my foundation. I lived in Surrender Sober Living mid July 2020 to mid October 2020. My stay at Surrender was very nice. I felt like I had lots of support to stay sober. At that time there was daily morning meetings that were mandatory and it was a time to spend with the other women in the house before everyone went on with their day. Sam the owner was at the house daily and was available if I needed her for support. The house manager at the time was Virginia and she was very professional and had an open door policy with her private room if I needed someone to talk to. Everyone supported each other and celebrated with decorating for one another's milestones. Surrender helped turn my life around. Our daughter has been at Surrender Sober Living for 3 months. It is a wonderful place. Christi, the house manager, is the absolute best! She has gone above and beyond to make our daughter feel welcomed and valued. She helped our daughter apply for MediCal and do other paperwork we couldn't help with since we are out of state. She makes meals and bakes goodies for the women even though that isn't expected of her. We recently were allowed to sit in on one of their meetings and were impressed by the camaraderie and support Christi and the other women showed to our daughter and each other. I recently moved into Surrender. I have been fortunate enough to know the owner, Sam, for a couple years now. She is a woman I have always looked up to, and I am beyond grateful to be a part of her sober living. The first day I arrived Ashley, the house manager, was there for me no questions asked. I haven't lived at Surrender Sober Living very long yet, but so far I've loved everything about my stay here! The girls have all made me feel really welcome, and have included me in all the meetings and fun, fellowship activities they've gone to. The house itself is really nice and clean, which I appreciate because I like having a beautiful living environment to come home to. I also like that the house is run with some structure to keep me and the other girls accountable to staying sober and working our recovery programs. The house manager, Ashley, is delightful and it's obvious that she truly cares about each and every one of us. She goes above and beyond to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and safe in the house, and has everything that we need. This place SAVED MY LIFE! I lived at surrender sober living from Nov 2020 - April 2021. I came in fresh from a 30 day program and was really nervous about being out in the world again. Sam (Owner) took me under her wing and made me feel welcomed, loved, and capable of taking on life again. The house she has is beautiful and gave a cozy family vibe. Between the girls, the house manager, and Sam I NEVER felt alone when I had a struggle I was facing. One thing I really appreciated about this place was that even though Sam was the owner, it was her mission to visit the girls and work one on one with each of us to reach our personal goals. If we as clients felt we needed something Sam was on it! We wanted arts/crafts and bonding time a week later Sam had it planned. We felt we needed to workout Sam gave us all memberships to the local gym as well as getting us a personal trainer at the house once a week! That is going above and beyond and that shows Sam's true character. She genuinely loves the girls and wants us all to succeed and it really showed not just with words but actions! There were a few little tiffs with girls there, as any place, but Sam made it a safe environment would bring us together and help us figure out a solution to those problems! The heart and soul of the owner makes this place pretty unique. I can only speak personally but when I wanted to get a job Sam was the one who came over sat with me for hours at the dining room table and not only helped me create a great resume, send out tons of applications, but used her own resources to help me accomplish that goal. There's something special in the way Surrender makes you motivated to start really living life again. I'm so grateful that Sam not only helped me with life things but she became a personal mentor for me. She was able to gently yet effectively tell me the things I didn't want to hear but needed to hear, that's a gift. Today I have 1 year 7 months sober. I have an incredible Job, a great therapist, a sponsor I love, a healthy partner, so much is going good in my life. That's the promises of AA and I wouldn't have been able to get such a foundation without Surrender and Samantha! Forever grateful that today I get to really LIVE. Sober Livings are tough to run. Surrender Sober Living has some of the best management I have seen. If you have a desire to stay sober, it is very possible for you to do so here. After a very tough relapse, they helped me get back on my feet. Just because I don't live there anymore, doesn't mean they stopped caring about me. Everyone wants to come up with a reason for why they were wronged so they can go back to living life they way they were before regardless of what may be best for them. I needed to rely on people to tell me what to do, because my best thinking brought me to the depths of despair. I am not able to delete my review that I wrote before Samantha, lied, threatened me with contacting my probation officer when I was not doing anything wrong, refuses to refund rent for days I did not live at Surrender because Samantha kicked me to the street without advance notice and complete disregard for my human rights, Samantha brazenly disregards the Clean Cause Foundation's scholarship purpose, which is to assist residents with their cost of rent, brazenly lies by stating that residents are on scholarships for having discounted rates, this is simply the contracted rate for rent, Surrender Sober Living Scholarships do not exist, Samantha had complete disregard for my sobriety by causing drama associated with her greed, a dollar is worth a lot more to Samantha than the residents' sobriety, Samantha took advantage of my friend's lack of knowledge by charging her $2800 for a small bed in a shared room, Samantha refuses to refund my $300 security deposit, and before I knew that Samantha has no personal and business ethics, no integrity (lies to residents about their Clean Cause Scholarships. Samanta is a horrible person that will violate the residents' rights over losing a dollar. I am so happy to have Samantha out of my life. No one should be subjected to Samantha's complete disregard for the truth about residents' money and human rights. read more

Surrender is an awesome sober living! I lived at the house for about 8 months. Surrender provided a beautiful, fun, supportive, and structured home for me during a challenging time in my life. Most important, Surrender sober living kept me accountable to going to AA meetings, getting a sponsor, working the steps, and overall getting me back into my normal life after addiction. I have made lifelong friendships from my time there. They assisted me in getting a great job that I still work for today. This is one of the best sober livings I've been to and I've been to a lot! The house is absolutely gorgeous and clean. The women I lived with were all super sweet and serious about their sobriety. The owner and managers are very professional while still maintaining a loving and safe environment. You can go to them about anything and they will handle it with the utmost care because they genuinely love the clients and want them to thrive. I enjoyed my time at surrender during my entire stay. Sam (owner) was extremely helpful when it came to helping me figure out life worth living goals and coming up with ideas to build my future; looking into job opportunities, assistance in sponsorship, etc. it's structured just enough to help you keep busy and focused but also gives you the space and opportunity to rebuild your life in a family-like environment. They really value maintaining a healing space for all the residents so if there's a problem it will be handled appropriately which made me feel very safe.
