My son has been going to New Generation for about a year now and he loves it! The teachers are great - they helped potty train, help get him eat when he doesn't want to eat, they are really great at teaching the kids how to share and get along. It's really nice to be able to leave your kid somewhere all day and not worry at all. I would highly recommend New Generation ! read more

Great staffs and such loving teachers. It's family owned so you cut out the politics of things. When it comes down to it, they actually do care. Ask Niaz for a tour. I wouldn't even think twice if I had another child. read more

I have my review on here already for my daughter that went to this school for a few years. This past August was my daughters last day, as she has moved on to Kindergarten. We miss New Generation so much!! Seeing all the smiling faces in the morning and the love that just radiates from there. My reason for writing this today is I got a call from my daughters teacher saying how advanced my daughter is and she has to ask her sometimes how old she is, because she is far ahead of her class. I told her the preschool she went to, had a lot to do with where she is at. She said, " I would recommend that school then to all parents". This school gets two thumbs up and if your thinking of sending your child here, know they are in the best hands. This is a family owned and ran school and I am so happy that we experienced this for our first school experience. WE LOVE YOU NG!!! read more

My daughter went here for a few years, from 2-4 we both loved it. Everyone that works at the school genuinely cares about the kids and really takes time to get to know each parent and the child. I was extremely happy with the education provided in addition to the extracurriculars offered during the year - for a small fee you could have your child do karate, dance, soccer and not have to actually TAKE them anywhere else so for us busy parents it is AMAZING. Also they do all kinds of cute things for each holiday. I cant say enough about the school. Teachers are great, pricing is great they really make you feel welcome there from the first day. We moved far away and had to switch preschools and my daughter keeps saying she REALLY misses "Miss Shabon (sorry thats spelled wrong I'm sure) and Miss Francine!" read more

(Sorry about the length of this review!! But NG has been so wonderful for us, that I feel I have to point out everything that I loved about them...which was a lot! I tried to be diplomatic, and look at what I didn't like, to offer that up for review as well, but I can't think of anything!) When my daughter was 2, I started shopping for preschools. But at all the places I looked at I was concerned about several things. I'll give you an example of one place (granted this one was the worst of the bunch). The interior was so dark and depressing. The playground equipment was a joke (there was no sand or grass, just concrete). The woman who gave me the tour took a total of 5 minutes to hustle me through, essentially just showing me what the rooms looked like. Nothing about the teachers or what they did for the kids, etc. I left discouraged from all of them, not wanting to leave my daughter in places like that. Then I went to New Generation. It was like night and day (literally). Where the other place was dark, New Generation's classrooms are full of light, with bright decorations and class projects on the walls. Right from the start I felt better. They take the children's safety seriously. There's a gate you walk through that unlocks high up so none of the children can get out the gate by themselves, then you need a key card to get into the building. Niaz, the office manager (who is also the daughter of one of the owners), greeted me warmly and then proceeded to spend almost half an hour with me (patiently answering the millions of questions I had), showing me around the school and the playground. The playground is awesome by the way! Fun play sets and swings, a huge tree shading the sand and these great little nooks in the wall where they grow plants for class projects. She spent time introducing me to the teachers and telling me the policies of the school. I was very impressed and I enrolled my daughter immediately. I had to be on the waiting list for a couple months, but it didn't take long. *****Definitely worth the waiting list, if you can't get in right away!!***** One reviewer mentioned how they are family-run. Well it shows! Lily and Nahid (the owners) are obviously trying to create a space where you feel your child is going to be nurtured and respected. They treat the kids and their parents as part of the family! They would always ask how I was doing, and then really listen to my response. They're always showing appreciation for the parents by doing things, like having treats (nice ones, from Portos!) for Mother's and Father's Days. And they've given me great advice over the years! There was one instance that will stick with me for the rest of my child-rearing years. My daughter had only been going for a few months when she bit a couple other kids (an only child adjusting to having to share). I was telling Nahid about what I was doing to stop it (the usual..."if you do that again, you're going to be in big trouble", etc). She gently suggested that instead of berating her if she does it again, I might try praising her if she doesn't do it at all. What a foreign concept to me, who was raised with the "if you don't do it, you're going to get it!" approach. So we came up with the idea to have daddy come home after work and ask her if she bit anybody today. She would say no and he would grab her and jump her around the room saying "Yay, daughter, yay, daughter!!!" and we would act all excited. The biting stopped right away, and I learned a valuable parenting skill. Thanks to Nahid. My daughter just left last month to start kindergarten. She is already further along than most of her classmates in reading, writing and math. That, in part, is thanks to New Generation. And I want to give extra emphasis to Miss Stephanie, who is amazing, in the amount of work she does to tailor homework to each individual child! She is so enthusiastic and obviously happy to be working with the children. But all the teachers were great, and genuinely care about the children (shout out to Miss Josephina, Miss Claudia and Miss Francine!). I will miss this school! But most of all, I'll miss the wonderful women who ran it. They really did become like family. They helped me raise my daughter during her most formative years, and I will forever be grateful and remember them fondly. read more

My son attends New Generation Le Petit Infant and Toddler Center. I have zero complaints with this wonderful daycare! The smile on my little boy's face when he sees Zari every morning is confirmation of the superb quality of care. I truly feel like I am leaving him with family that love him as much as I do. Highly recommended!!! read more

Our daughter began at this school at 1 1/2 years old and we have loved it from the beginning! The facility itself is super clean and very secure, which were two major things my husband and I were looking for. Beyond that our daughter absolutely LOVES this place. To see how she has blossomed verbally and socially since starting there has been incredible to watch and I have nothing but really great things to say about this school. It is not easy to sort out the good pre-schools from the bad pre-schools and I am so thankful we found this one! read more

Both of my children went to NG and it was a great experience for them and for us. We felt confident leaving our children in their care and they were very open and informative about our children's behavior. They have recently redone the back playground area, and the front - it looks great. They are all very caring staff and we look back at those years with fond memories (daughter starting middle school in the fall and son will be starting Kindergarten, transitioning from TK). I recommend them to all of our friends! read more

I have to say New generation has been a God send for our family. We have our youngest son attending the school and we love how much he loves his school and his teachers. The owners are freindly and always informative as well. The school has a family feel and provides comfort in leaving your child at their care. Overall great school, great location, very organized and very safe. read more

Our son Alexander, attended New Generation for 6 months. I cannot begin to tell you how caring and loving the owners and teachers are towards their students. Our son came down with terminal cancer and eventually passed. I can say that we have never felt so much love and support from the New Generation family. Our son Alex received visits from the owners on a weekly basis and the parents of this community were so supportive of us. If you want your child to be under EXCELLENT care, New Generation is the place. read more

First let me just say this review is LONG overdue and I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner. My son attended New Generation Preschool for about a year and a half (2 1/2 yrs old to almost 4). And all I can say is my husband and I couldn't have been happier with or more confident in our decision to enroll him here. The staff, environment and security measures alone put them far above the rest and after seeing our son blossom into a bright, confident and happy child, we knew it was worth every penny. After the first couple of weeks dealing with separation anxiety, he was rushing to get out of the car and run into this school. It felt good to see him so excited. And the staff is so friendly and passionate about children that it felt as good as leaving our son with a family member. Then when he got home, the excitement continued when he shared his day's experience with us. Unfortunately, we had to move out of state and that is the only reason we would have ever pulled him out of New Generation. Now in another state, we recently enrolled him in pre-kindergarten and while researching different pre-k schools, my husband and I came back to the standards set by New Generation as we weren't going to settle for less. They really set the bar high and will continue to have a positive effect on how we, as well as our son, view his education. There really aren't enough words to describe all the goodness that this school has to offer. But I can assure you that if you have any doubts this is the best place for your child(ren) to grow as it provides a solid foundation of nurturing and learning that will last them the rest of their life. read more

Both of our sons attended New Generation during their crucial, formative pre-Kindergarten years. We are extremely pleased with the care and education they received at New Generation. The proprietors and every member of the teaching staff are warm, nurturing, and truly impassioned about early childhood education. The owners and staff alike were always willing and eager to discuss our children's progress. The curriculum was organized, well-structured, and without a doubt, instrumental in helping prepare our kids for elementary school. To this day, both of our kids still talk fondly of the staff, classmates, and memories at New Generation. To watch their faces light up as they recall some of their earliest memories in life, we are so thankful to New Generation for providing our kids with such a phenomenal childhood learning experience. read more

Wow. The reviews for this establishment are pretty impressive. Sadly, their treatment of customers who call in for first time information is not. Here's how my call in went-Me: Hi, I'm interested in enrolling my 4yr old in your preschool. Them: We're not enrolling anyone right now. Me: I understand that. When will you be enrolling new students? Them: Not until September. Me:Well, isn't that when the school year starts? Them: Yes but our school is full and there's a waiting list. Me: That 's all I needed to hear, thanks! End of story. Could have gone so much differently! Like this, "Thank you so much for your interest in our school. Unfortunately we're already full for the following year and there's a waiting list. Would you like to be added?" Give me the run down at the beginning. You know what I'm saying? read more

I was really hopeful when I found this place down the street from my work. I had a friend who sent her child there and thought since my child and hers enjoyed spending time together that this would be a great place. I went in a few times. Things I didn't like right away was the front office was completely open. I didn't feel there was any place to speak privately. The front staff seemed pretty abrupt and rude (not nurturing). The most alarming thing was seeing so many kids (I'd say at least 12-13) with only one teacher in the room. Their ages were from 2-3. I did not see an aide and the teacher didn't have much control. My child would be in their care full time. I would want my child not only to be cared for physically but be taught an education as well. From what I saw, there was a time my friend's child was succeeding. When she moved classes and teachers, the education seemed to go out the window (and it's so important as they get closer to Kindergarten). My friend's child no longer attends the school. I have now looked elsewhere. read more

We couldn't be happier with the time our daughter spent at New Generation. From the Director Niaz, to all the teachers and staff, we could not have been happier with our experience. They became our friends and extended family. I really felt that my daughter was looked after by loving aunties. And now that she's in kindergarten, she's ahead in her class with reading writing and arithmetic. What a find! read more

Very nurturing and very well managed professional staff and learning environment is commendable

Our family loves New Generations! We looked for a long time for preschools in Burbank and nothing seemed to fit our needs. New Generations is organized, clean and has all the necessary amenities. They do a great job keeping the year full with activities and events to celebrate. I really love their play yard. It's fun and safe facility. I highly recommend this preschool! read more

5 star is truly not enough for this wonderful establishment. My son started March 2012 after a horrible experience at Media Center Montessori. During my initial tour I was even more meticulous about checking for cleanliness, updated playsets, updated educational material, condition of classrooms, etc. All of these were problems at my sons previous school (cockroaches in lunch bag areas, dilapidated swing set, outdated material, mold, etc.). Needless to say, New Generation is a breath of fresh air. They had current material and SAFE play equipment. Their AC/heating unit works so that the temperatures inside the classrooms are comfortable. They have adequate shade for hot weather. With everything on my visual check list crossed off I needed to assess the teachers and curriculum. New Generation did not disappoint me. In the 6 years with Media Center (my oldest son attended as well) I have never experienced the kind of community and closeness I receive at New Generation. They have a spectacular Christmas program that you can tell took a lot of hard work, organization and love. They have a Halloween Parade that is just so fun where the kids trick or treat around the schools at "stations". Not to mention a family night open house which serves as a fundraiser for the school. They also collect toys and goods for many different causes. There's so much more! Lastly, from the teachers all the way to the owners are amazing, warm and loving people. We will miss them very much when my son starts kinder this September. If you don't at least interview this school you and your child will be more than missing out. New Generation is a hidden treasure! read more

After careful research I brought my "spirited" two year old boy to New Generation. I found them to have a well organized curriculum. Full of early reading and math. As well as plenty of fun and educational based art projects and extra curricular opportunities such as soccer and karate. The directors and staff are wonderful. Creating an environment of willingness to help my child get the most out of his preschool experience, always making time to discuss my child's progress or concerns I may have. I feel they frequently go above and beyond to accommodate my families needs. My son has had a successful academic career. I know this is in part to the excellent instruction and care received while at New Generation. We have since had another child. There was never any doubt that she too would attend New Generation. We started her at 3 days a week and increased it to 5 days at her request. She loves it. Thank you to everyone at New Generation for being such a bright spot in my children's early social and academic development. read more

My son was at New Generation for almost 2 years, until we recently had to move up north. We were so happy there, and have nothing but praise for the owners and teachers. My son had some attachment issues and it was a rough transition in the beginning moving from being at home to a preschool setting, however everyone at NG was so accommodating and made it as least stressful as possible. They really take the time to get to know your kids, and I can't tell you how nice it is to be able to drop your child off and go to work without worrying about them throughout the day. My son really blossomed while at NG. We have just begun looking at preschool programs in our new city, and the couple that we have gone to tour, my son immediately said "No Mommy, I want New Generation!"...can't beat a child's review, the standards have been set high! He really misses his teachers, his soccer, music and tumbling classes... and he still talks about everybody daily! read more

This review is for New Generation La Petit. As a first time parent it was hard for me to find a place that I could trust to take care of my infant daughter. I looked around and I was not happy with most of the places I visited until I found New Generation La Petit. As soon I toured the place and met Zari I got a great feeling and I knew I could trust her with my daughter. She truly loves and knows how to handle kids. My daughter had been at La Petit from the time she was 9 months old. Everyday when I picked her up I would get a report on everything that happened that day. The best part was when I received a video of my daughter's first steps. It was so precious since I was not there to see it. My daughter moved on to New Generation after she turned 18 months. I really miss Zari and I would recommend this place to any parent. read more

New Generation is an amazing pre-school! It is a family owned business and the staff was great to work with. Ms. Nahid, Ms. Lily and Ms. Niaz are simply great people!! As a parent, you defiantly want your child to be in a safe, clean and caring environment .... all of which we found at NG. My daughter loved all of her classmates, teachers and staff very much. The school offered so many extra curricular activities that my daughter and her friends did almost all of them. My daughter took her first dance, karate and gym class at New Generation and she had a blast doing them all. Our daughter and my entire family loved the school projects, easter egg hunts, annual family BBQ, annual Disneyland trips, the Christmas programs and lastly their beautiful graduation ceremony. My Daughter graduated from New generation last August and since she moved on to a Private School in Burbank. She is doing amazing thanks in part to the great educational foundation New Generation and it's staff instilled in our daughter. We are truly grateful... Thank you !! read more

Ms. Josefina is the best thing that happened to this schoool. Her care & love for the 18month olds is the epitomy of what childcare should be. (The one star is for her). This review is long overdue as my son has been out of NG for almost a year. He's a very active boy who went through all the age -appropriate toddler phases..........biting, saying no, tantrums. Thankfully all phases were very short lived although it didn't seem like it when we were going through them. When my husband and I requested a meeting with the owners they were annoyed and uninterested. We wanted to have open dialog with them & put a plan in place that would help us move through the phases & raise a respectful little boy. I believe preschool teachers should have a passion for the age group and adequate training. The owners of NG have neither. I believe they are more interested in money. This school is not cheap & you have to pay extra for everything.......lunch, activities for the kids, etc. I was REALLY disappointed as I knew other families with kids at this school. Lesson learned.....everything that glitter's is not gold. And, just because everyone else likes something doesn't mean it's right for you. As I mentioned before my son is very active. One day when I picked him up he had tooth discoloration indicating injury. He had probably fallen at school. I know accidents happen and I expected honesty from the staff. Instead no one new what happened & the owners insisted I dropped him off at school that way. :( Either they are truly dishonest or understaffed and no one is watching 2yr olds as they should be. For all you prospective parents don't be afraid to ask the questions that really matter. Inquire about the education of the owners & staff. Inquire about early childhood education & how long teachers have worked there. When we were there many great teachers left & found jobs elsewhere. Make sure you spend time at the school beyond pick up & drop off time. read more

We LOVE New Generation! Our family moved to Burbank from Pennsylvania about 2 1/2 years ago, when our youngest son was 2 1/2. Now he's 5, and he'll be GRADUATING in a few months and moving on to Kindergarten! I can't believe his time at New Generation is coming to an end... so I wanted to make sure to express how happy I am that we chose it as his preschool. His experiences (and our experiences as a family) with New Generation have been wonderful. First and foremost, my son is loved there. There are plenty of preschools that could teach and take care of my child. But I'm so thankful to have found one that truly feels like a home away from home. It was such a gift to have found this school after moving our son across the country. He went from being uprooted from the only home he'd ever known... to being re-rooted and nurtured in his new home, not just by his family, but by his school family as well. He adjusted well to his new life in CA, and I honestly think that is in large part due to the security he felt at New Generation. Anchored by the terrific teachers and the kind and welcoming owners, Niaz, Lily, and Nahid, our son has thrived in school, and we are forever grateful for his time at New Generation. Also, I want to mention that New Generation offers many extra "in-house" enrichment activities for the kids- including Lionheart Fitness (which introduces them to a new sport every 5 weeks), Webby Dance & Gymnastics class, and Kid Balanced Karate (with the super-cool, super-energetic, super-funny Master Bryant, who inspires the kids to work hard and do their best, all the while cracking them up with his silly voices and antics). And speaking of fun, the owners and teachers clearly put so much time and effort into their many family events- like the Harvest Festival (a fabulous night of fun and games and food), the Halloween Parade (complete with adorably dressed-up teachers plus Lily, Nahid and Niaz always in spectacular costumes, with a new theme each year) and the Holiday Show (so sweet and heartfelt... the cutest, most quintessential Christmas play you ever did see!) These events are a great way for parents to get to know each other, to get to know and spend time with the teachers, and they are just A BLAST for the kids!! What more can I say except... I love New Generation, and give it the highest of recommendations! read more

Sadly today was our last day at New Generation (she's starting Kinder next month) and this review is long overdue. Bottom line, we love this place. Our daughter started here at 2 after being at a couple of other daycares we weren't that impressed with. The minute we took the tour we knew this was the place. Nice classrooms and a huge outside area. Very clean, but kids artwork and projects proudly displayed everywhere. Niaz was so kind and immediately made us feel welcome. Our daughter has thrived here. Every teacher is amazing and the directors are very hands on which isn't very typical. It's a smaller facility but offers all of the enrichment programs, book fairs, family festivals, etc that some of the bigger daycares offer. What I loved most was that all faculty - from teachers aids, teachers, to directors - seemed to enjoy being there. Not just there to cash a paycheck. Always positive, always patient, always having my child's best interest in mind. They made us feel like family and we were so grateful to be a part of it. When my daughter would go through phases of having difficulty at drop off, everyone sprang to action to make her feel comfortable. As a parent that's priceless. She always came home happy, telling me stories of funny things her teachers did, what she learned and what she and her friends played. I feel she is fully prepared for kindergarten both academically and socially. New Gen will always have a special place in our hearts and I would recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional care for their child. read more
