I was overwhelmed and nervous about sending our daughter to daycare for the first time. I toured several facilities and ultimately went with my gut when I chose Tiny Footsteps. A couple things swayed me, number one it's a family-run daycare out of the family home. I think for kids transitioning to daycare for the first time, it feels like an extension of home. Like going to a relative's house. There's windows all around and good air circulation -- several places I toured didn't have much or any natural light. The kids socialize all together and I've seen with our daughter that it's given her an extra bit of emotional intelligence. She learned how to interact with the babies from watching Ms. Sevan, and once our son, her little brother was born, was attuned to being gentle and engaging warmly with him. Similarly hanging out with some of the older kids helped develop her vocabulary and motor skills trying to keep up with them. I think of them like a big pack of cousins the way she talks about them all at home. And one of my favorite parts, is that they make good, home-cooked meals. It's been such a great relief that we take Auva to daycare in the morning and she has two meals and two snacks there that we don't have to plan. New Generation is both play and academically focused, always clean, and has a GORGEOUS backyard play area (I always say it feels heavenly back there). The school is not only kid-friendly, but parent friendly. They have always been kind and supportive in a way that parents of preschoolers need... they just get it. The Fall Festival every year is seriously so much fun - we're still planning to go as a family even after we've left! There are always holiday activities, celebrations, shows, adorable Graduations... everything is just so perfect. Most importantly, the teachers are INCREDIBLE. We had Ms. Claudia, Ms. Laura, and Ms. Favi throughout the years, three of the most lovely women, always with a focus on learning, growth, development, and kindness. The kiddos spend so much time at preschool, it has been very comforting to know it is such a wonderful environment, complete with care and attention from very involved teachers. Ms. Favi, our current teacher, truly looks at her students as if they were her own, and treats them as such. My daughter loves her so, and dreams of being a teacher one day because of how wonderfully Ms. Favi does it. The first daycare we tried was a nightmare, but literally after the first day of attending here, we could see the difference in our daughter's care. They have separate locations for infant and toddler care, which makes it less overwhelming for the babies starting out. It's extremely clean and cozy, like a second home. They cook home cooked meals and provide healthy snacks. And when the time came, they even helped us with potty training. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor space to play and rooms to sleep. They do lots of activities, like water-play in the summer. My daughter was always bringing home the cutest art projects. They even make holidays and birthdays feel very special. When our daughter outgrew infant care, she attended their second location, which functions more as a discovery preschool. There she did a lot of the same things, but they started incorporating early learning with more structure lessons. It was very important to us that they met our child where she was developmentally, rather than expect her to be independent and follow a rigorous schedule. Ms. Rubina, her daughters and their team are very hands on, kind and nurturing, so each child gets the individualize care they need while still being able to grow and socialize. They helped us raise our daughter into a very happy, independent, smart and polite young lady. She had zero issues transitioning to Preschool, which we know is largely a part of the great care she received at Rio. We truly could not thank them enough.

They only accommodate Disney Employees who needs childcare. They have a robust curriculum, which was very impressive from infants, twos, to prek, to their soon to be kindergarten program this Fall 2023. There's a lot of staff! The ratio is great. Infant care is 1 caregiver per 3 infants. Twos - 1 care giver per 4 kids. Prek- 3 teachers for 10 kids and will add on more teachers as more kids enroll. I love how there's plenty of parking spaces for drop offs/pick ups and there's a security guard. The best part is that you get updates and pictures on the app provided. You may also add your own notes for the caregivers to read throughout the day. It's an amazing system. We've decided to enroll our child here! We trust the system, happy with high communication, and enjoyed seeing all the different rooms the center had to offer. It's a huge place!

I had two kids at Mary Alice over the past 6 years…read more Our oldest started during the pandemic, when you had to drop off your little one at the door and a staff member would take their little hand and toddle them off to class. The friendly woman who usually greeted us was Lily, the front desk person at the time. We grew to really trust Lily and she has since become this center's director! Amanda, the director when we started, is now regional director. I cannot say enough good things about them. They orchestrate a complicated environment involving small children, teachers, and parents in a kind and professional way. Lily still takes a moment to say hi at morning dropoff. Her right hand is Priscilla, who was a long time teacher at the school and is incredibly competent. She and Lily manage everything and plan adorable events like Pre-K graduation, Halloween parades, Mothers and Fathers day events, and Christmas recitals. There's a core of amazing teachers here-dedicated folks who have been at the center for years and seem to have endless patience with the kids. As is typical in childcare, there is some turnover outside that core group. There's a strong community at the school, and during our time we were lucky enough to have amazing parents who ran the Boosters organization. The MAOC Boosters is all volunteer and raises extra money for the school, buying new toys, enrichment classes, and equipment, as well as teacher appreciation. Most fun for my family were events like Easter parties, treasure hunts, St. Patrick's Day parties, movie theater rentals... the list goes on. They're great friendship building opportunities for the kids and adults. We've made many family friends at the school over the years. The Boosters is run by volunteers, so I really can't thank them enough. There are five classrooms by age at MOAC and each has their own vibe. Our youngest went through every classroom starting from infants. They're all great. Discovery preschool was always my favorite-a magical time where their little personalities start to really shine, with especially great teachers. Preschool was always a little crazy for us, I think because of the stage of development. Then PreK was great and we had the same three teachers for both kids. I feel like the children started to really learn things in PreK like they're in school. Ms. Emma ran Learning Adventures, an optional extra where she'd pull kids out in a small group to work on letters and words. I think it really made a difference and my kids loved Ms Emma! Here are the cons: Everything everyone has ever told you is true... when you start daycare- anywhere- you and your kid are going to get sick. A LOT in the beginning. Lily and the team will send e-mails updating you on whatever hideous ailment is floating around your kid's classroom. Keep your own kid home when they're sick and trust other parents are doing the same. I promise it slowly gets better. Second con: it's expensive. We spent an arm and a leg over these last six years, several of those years paying for two kids at the same time. The cost slowly decreases depending on the classroom, and starting in Discovery you can do fewer days per week, which are cheaper still. But you're going to want to put that lake house on hold. Also, you'll get a notice of tuition increase every year. Since we started, it's been anywhere from 3-4% per year so factor that in as well. I want to address some negative reviews still floating around online from before we even started at the school. We've been on the waitlist ourselves. The reality is that demand for good daycare is high and outweighs supply. There is also sibling preference for admission (which I completely support). I've seen more than one reviewer allude to the idea that the center is for big shot studio execs or something. I mean, it IS Burbank, CA so there are quite a few people in the entertainment industry but I was still freelance when we started here. One commentator even talked about all the nice cars at drop off (I guess they never saw my 2003 Subaru out there!) In reality, there's a mix of people from different backgrounds and professions. It's not just for the elite. Friendly suggestion for the school: I wish there was a better way to meet new teachers before dropoff. On a couple occasions, an e-mail announced a new person in the classroom. But at dropoff, familiar staff might be busy, leading to an awkward moment introducing yourself while simultaneously peeling a clingy child off of you to give them to this new person you just met. I bet there's a smoother way to do this! Lastly, I just want to thank Lily, Priscilla, Amanda, Emma, Naira, Yara, Marisa, Michele, Patty, Jasmine, Jailene, Jonde, Breanna, Shyan... there's too many people to name from over the years. Just, thank you to the staff. You have my eternal gratitude for helping us raise these children through such a busy, fun, hard, happy, difficult, but beautiful time in our lives.

My son started when he was two years old (2024) and has been attending ever since. At the time, I was a mother of one and very anxious about our son being looked after by anyone other than family. Fortunately, they both did everything to make us feel like family for a seamless transition. It is well rounded program and incorporated into everyday tasks/activities making learning fun, while also practical. Every week is focused on different topics and the themes/events are communicated in advanced. Our son (who has known to be a picky eater from time to time) has tried new foods at daycare which is a major win. The care and attention to the kids and the program are unmatched. They take the time to communicate every part of the program (meals, weekly activities, daily highlights, and my personal favorite: pictures of their day) allowing us to have a conversation with our little one. Thanks to Dream Big Little One, we are confident our son is prepared to enter TK in the Fall. We will not be saying goodbye, more like see you later, as we definitely plan to enroll our baby into the program once, she is old enough.
