My daughter attended Rio Child Care from the time she was 9 months until she turned 3. We were really sad to move on to Preschool, because this really was a truly special place. The first daycare we tried was a nightmare, but literally after the first day of attending here, we could see the difference in our daughter's care. They have separate locations for infant and toddler care, which makes it less overwhelming for the babies starting out. It's extremely clean and cozy, like a second home. They cook home cooked meals and provide healthy snacks. And when the time came, they even helped us with potty training. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor space to play and rooms to sleep. They do lots of activities, like water-play in the summer. My daughter was always bringing home the cutest art projects. They even make holidays and birthdays feel very special. When our daughter outgrew infant care, she attended their second location, which functions more as a discovery preschool. There she did a lot of the same things, but they started incorporating early learning with more structure lessons. It was very important to us that they met our child where she was developmentally, rather than expect her to be independent and follow a rigorous schedule. Ms. Rubina, her daughters and their team are very hands on, kind and nurturing, so each child gets the individualize care they need while still being able to grow and socialize. They helped us raise our daughter into a very happy, independent, smart and polite young lady. She had zero issues transitioning to Preschool, which we know is largely a part of the great care she received at Rio. We truly could not thank them enough. read more

I wanted to take time and update my review as my last one was done over four years ago. Since then, my first son has graduated from Rio and my second son has been here since he was four months old. Both of my boys love it here! There was a time where I decided to switch schools due to location. What a mistake! We quickly realized how amazing Rio is and worth the drive. I have sent both my daughters to Rio since they were 5 months old. My eldest is now 4. My youngest is 16 months. They are SO LOVING and NURTURING. They taught my first all her numbers and letters at 18 months and I was literally amazed! They have been more than we ever wished for. They do artwork, celebrate birthdays and holidays, feed them fresh food from their kitchen, read stories, teach them to draw and hold markers and have a large back open shaded area for play. My four year old is practicing her writing and comes home with so many great examples of her work. They also learned Yoga and Downward dog! My eldest has made wonderful friendships at this school. I really hope they will stay in touch when they enter TK. They also make my life easier as a working mother. They feed them breakfast and lunch, and don't reprimand me if I drop them off late (which can happen at many preschools)! I love the small, nurturing community they have fostered. My children especially adore Ms. Nata and Ms. Arminka, and of course, Ms. Rubina, the owner. She is so wonderful and loving. We enrolled our son in daycare when he was 5 months old. Being our only child, we had a little separation anxiety. Rubina and her daughter were very responsive and gave us a tour of the facility. The facility is very clean and I can tell they love children because the entire house is decorated/catered towards kids. There are a lot of both fun and educational materials neatly organized inside. Ms. Liana mainly takes care of our son and she greets us every morning with a warm smile. Sometimes she is the first one there and sometimes I am a little early dropping him off but she always welcomes him in with a big smile! Our son loves going to her and seeing her. I had my daughter right at the start of the pandemic so I got to stay home with her longer than I had planned, but we also didn't get to socialize her much because of COVID. When I had to go back to work I found Rio childcare, and so I'm glad I did! I was so nervous leaving her with strangers but i can honestly say, she is so loved there. She has learned so much and made some good friends she comes home to tell me about. It's been a year since my last review. My son has been continually showing us so much improvement in many ways since he attends Rio Child Care. We kept him at home for two months since the virus began in March, but due to both me and my husband are working from home so it's too much stress to handle with him around. We decided to let him go back to the daycare because we trusted Rubina, Mr.s Neyli, and Mr.s Lilit they would take very good care of the children. In fact, they really did an amazing job. We are so grateful for these teachers who are willing to be at the frontline taking care of the children to make sure they are healthy and happy. Every morning after dropping off my son, they measure his body temperature first, then they took him to wash his hands right after. All parents are required to wear masks while dropping off, and not allowed to go inside. Everyone follows the rules. My son has been building up more confidence and he clearly told us he's ready to go to preschool. It's really sad to say good-bye to Rio daycare, on the last Friday, they held a nice good-bay party for my son. I think it's such an important moment for my son to experience it so he knows he's moving on. Rio is such a wonderful place, and I am thankful we found it. The people there are so sweet and genuinely care for our kids. They do such fun crafts and lessons. Great daycare. My 20 months daughter has been at Rio Child Care for 3 months. I'm glad we found Rubina ( the owner of Rio child care) in Burbank. She listens to the parents' request. She prepares homemade dishes and snacks for kids. She has a huge backyard with full of toys that kids can play with. Parents also receive pictures during the day. My daughter also get along with other kids very well, often she doesn't want to leave when I pick her up. She also learns to wave and say bye to Rubina when we leaving, which make me feel comfortable, think that my daughter had a great day there. Our daughter started at Rio about 3 months ago right around her first birthday. The experience has been nothing but amazing for her and us so far. They were very patient with her adjustment to new faces and a new environment. Now she just jumps out of our arms and starts playing the second we drop her off. Nelly, Rubina, and Lilly are very caring and foster a nurturing environment. Our daughter comes home with an increased vocabulary and accelerated gross motor skills which she learned at daycare. Amazing day care! Our baby loves coming here, food is great, location is perfect, staff is beyond great. We never pick up our baby dirty or hangry. My son has been at Rio Child Care since October and I'm very happy I found it! I was concerned about leaving my son with someone else because he had only known my mother and me since his birth. But with Rubina I knew he was safe and in good hands. Sometimes it's hard to get my son to leave because she has much better toys than at my house and a great back yard with everything kids love. She does arts and crafts with the kids and just started potty training my son (he's 14 months). She's also helping out with teeth brushing as I'd like him to start brushing 2x a day.
