I have sent both my daughters to Rio since they were 5 months old. My eldest is now 4. My youngest is 16 months. They are SO LOVING and NURTURING. They taught my first all her numbers and letters at 18 months and I was literally amazed! They have been more than we ever wished for. They do artwork, celebrate birthdays and holidays, feed them fresh food from their kitchen, read stories, teach them to draw and hold markers and have a large back open shaded area for play. My four year old is practicing her writing and comes home with so many great examples of her work. They also learned Yoga and Downward dog! My eldest has made wonderful friendships at this school. I really hope they will stay in touch when they enter TK. They also make my life easier as a working mother. They feed them breakfast and lunch, and don't reprimand me if I drop them off late (which can happen at many preschools)! I love the small, nurturing community they have fostered. My children especially adore Ms. Nata and Ms. Arminka, and of course, Ms. Rubina, the owner. She is so wonderful and loving. She sends us photos of the kids and communicates on how our children are doing.

Nicole Melania is happy playing with her friends in Rio Child Care!

We are very lucky and happy of being with Rio Child Care! Miss Rubina and all her team are amazing! They provide personal care of each child, home made food (4 times a day, when there are many places that are not providing any food). Our daughter Nicole Melania is very happy, and every time she doesn't want to leave their place. And I'm personally feeling calm while our baby is in a child care, because I know she's in good hands. Thank you again to Rio Child Care

Rio Child Care was recommended to me through a friend. I have now had my daughter under their care since 5 months old. My daughter is now 16 months and is always so happy at drop off, absolutely no tears. Finding a great quality childcare has always been a struggle for me. I'm so happy I found a place that I see my daughter thriving in. She loves her teachers and they are so nurturing, patient and sweet with her. The photo updates are my favorite. Thank you Rubina, Natali and Karina for making the process possible for us. Ms. Ruzanna, Ms. Siranush & our other beautiful teacher , thank you for all you do!!!

Everyone in Rio childcare truly love working with kids and very caring. Our son has been going here for almost two years and he loves his teaches and friends. They do so many art projects ( he always brings it home), activities and lessons. Our son enjoys his time at daycare! We are going to bring our little daughter here too! All the teachers are fantastic and keep the parents updated regularly! thank you Rio childcare for caring for our kids

I left a review a couple of years ago and wanted to update. I now have two daughters enrolled at Rio (ages 3.5 and 1.5). Both have loved their experiences and all of their teachers. The kids are learning a lot and enjoy presenting us with the crafts they make.

The Best Child Care! If you want your child to be treated like at home this is the place. The care, quality and love provided is unmatched! Love the place as much as my son does!

I had my daughter right at the start of the pandemic so I got to stay home with her longer than I had planned, but we also didn't get to socialize her much because of COVID. When I had to go back to work I found Rio childcare, and so I'm glad I did! I was so nervous leaving her with strangers but i can honestly say, she is so loved there. She has learned so much and made some good friends she comes home to tell me about. I'm surprised at all the new things she learns everyday - colors, shapes, letters, songs, etc. She comes home with a lot of art projects and they even helped get her fully potty trained earlier than I expected her to be. I will forever be thankful to the Rio childcare team!

It's been a year since my last review. My son has been continually showing us so much improvement in many ways since he attends Rio Child Care. We kept him at home for two months since the virus began in March, but due to both me and my husband are working from home so it's too much stress to handle with him around. We decided to let him go back to the daycare because we trusted Rubina, Mr.s Neyli, and Mr.s Lilit they would take very good care of the children. In fact, they really did an amazing job. We are so grateful for these teachers who are willing to be at the frontline taking care of the children to make sure they are healthy and happy. Every morning after dropping off my son, they measure his body temperature first, then they took him to wash his hands right after. All parents are required to wear masks while dropping off, and not allowed to go inside. Everyone follows the rules. My son has been building up more confidence and he clearly told us he's ready to go to preschool. It's really sad to say good-bye to Rio daycare, on the last Friday, they held a nice good-bay party for my son. I think it's such an important moment for my son to experience it so he knows he's moving on. I can't express how much I appreciated, I can only leave this review to whoever is looking for a daycare in Burbank. This is a place you won't regret to send your kids to.

The friendly woman who usually greeted us was Lily, the front desk person at the time. We grew to really trust Lily and she has since become this center's director! Amanda, the director when we started, is now regional director. I cannot say enough good things about them. They orchestrate a complicated environment involving small children, teachers, and parents in a kind and professional way. Lily still takes a moment to say hi at morning dropoff. Her right hand is Priscilla, who was a long time teacher at the school and is incredibly competent. She and Lily manage everything and plan adorable events like Pre-K graduation, Halloween parades, Mothers and Fathers day events, and Christmas recitals. There's a core of amazing teachers here-dedicated folks who have been at the center for years and seem to have endless patience with the kids. As is typical in childcare, there is some turnover outside that core group. There's a strong community at the school, and during our time we were lucky enough to have amazing parents who ran the Boosters organization. The MAOC Boosters is all volunteer and raises extra money for the school, buying new toys, enrichment classes, and equipment, as well as teacher appreciation. Most fun for my family were events like Easter parties, treasure hunts, St. Patrick's Day parties, movie theater rentals... the list goes on. They're great friendship building opportunities for the kids and adults. We've made many family friends at the school over the years. The Boosters is run by volunteers, so I really can't thank them enough. There are five classrooms by age at MOAC and each has their own vibe. Our youngest went through every classroom starting from infants. They're all great. Discovery preschool was always my favorite-a magical time where their little personalities start to really shine, with especially great teachers. Preschool was always a little crazy for us, I think because of the stage of development. Then PreK was great and we had the same three teachers for both kids. I feel like the children started to really learn things in PreK like they're in school. Ms. Emma ran Learning Adventures, an optional extra where she'd pull kids out in a small group to work on letters and words. I think it really made a difference and my kids loved Ms Emma! Here are the cons: Everything everyone has ever told you is true... when you start daycare- anywhere- you and your kid are going to get sick. A LOT in the beginning. Lily and the team will send e-mails updating you on whatever hideous ailment is floating around your kid's classroom. Keep your own kid home when they're sick and trust other parents are doing the same. I promise it slowly gets better. Second con: it's expensive. We spent an arm and a leg over these last six years, several of those years paying for two kids at the same time. The cost slowly decreases depending on the classroom, and starting in Discovery you can do fewer days per week, which are cheaper still. But you're going to want to put that lake house on hold. Also, you'll get a notice of tuition increase every year. Since we started, it's been anywhere from 3-4% per year so factor that in as well. I want to address some negative reviews still floating around online from before we even started at the school. We've been on the waitlist ourselves. The reality is that demand for good daycare is high and outweighs supply. There is also sibling preference for admission (which I completely support). I've seen more than one reviewer allude to the idea that the center is for big shot studio execs or something. I mean, it IS Burbank, CA so there are quite a few people in the entertainment industry but I was still freelance when we started here. One commentator even talked about all the nice cars at drop off (I guess they never saw my 2003 Subaru out there!) In reality, there's a mix of people from different backgrounds and professions. It's not just for the elite. Friendly suggestion for the school: I wish there was a better way to meet new teachers before dropoff. On a couple occasions, an e-mail announced a new person in the classroom. But at dropoff, familiar staff might be busy, leading to an awkward moment introducing yourself while simultaneously peeling a clingy child off of you to give them to this new person you just met. I bet there's a smoother way to do this! Lastly, I just want to thank Lily, Priscilla, Amanda, Emma, Naira, Yara, Marisa, Michele, Patty, Jasmine, Jailene, Jonde, Breanna, Shyan... there's too many people to name from over the years. Just, thank you to the staff. You have my eternal gratitude for helping us raise these children through such a busy, fun, hard, happy, difficult, but beautiful time in our lives.

We are fortunate beyond belief to have found this incredible school. It has been the most wonderful launching pad for my little one, setting her up for a healthy, curious, kind, and loving life. I have full confidence as she enters the "big school" (Kindergarten) next week that she will be ready socially AND intellectually thanks to the loving care and attention received from the teachers and leadership at New Generation. I found this school after trying many others in the area. New Generation is both play and academically focused, always clean, and has a GORGEOUS backyard play area (I always say it feels heavenly back there). I'll never ever forget how wonderful it felt to pick my daughter up in such a safe and loving environment every day and have her run across that playground to hug me. The school is not only kid-friendly, but parent friendly. They have always been kind and supportive in a way that parents of preschoolers need... they just get it. The front office empathizes and gives of their time and attention, always making me feel safe and seen. They also throw a great party!! The Fall Festival every year is seriously so much fun - we're still planning to go as a family even after we've left! There are always holiday activities, celebrations, shows, adorable Graduations... everything is just so perfect. Most importantly, the teachers are INCREDIBLE. We had Ms. Claudia, Ms. Laura, and Ms. Favi throughout the years, three of the most lovely women, always with a focus on learning, growth, development, and kindness. The kiddos spend so much time at preschool, it has been very comforting to know it is such a wonderful environment, complete with care and attention from very involved teachers. Ms. Favi, our current teacher, truly looks at her students as if they were her own, and treats them as such. My daughter loves her so, and dreams of being a teacher one day because of how wonderfully Ms. Favi does it. It will be so hard to say goodbye to her, and there will be no shortage of tears (mom included). I highly recommend this school for your sweet little ones. It feels like family, and I will forever be grateful to have found this special home away from home during such formative years.

There is LOTS of outdoor play time, they do tons of crafts and activities inside the classroom, there is yoga and music teachers that come in weekly, and every other week an animal comes to visit! So far our daughter has held or touched a tarantula, a turkey, a snail, parakeets, and more!! Not many places you would get exposure like that. I feel like it's the perfect balance of letting kids be kids and play endlessly but also introducing some structure that comes with traditional school. It is a thoughtfully designed early education program that prepares children for structured school environments in an engaging, age-appropriate, and innovative way. Our son is learning communication skills, independence, routines, problem-solving, and social development through activities that make learning fun. We have seen tremendous growth in his confidence, curiosity, and ability to adapt to new situations. His adjustment has been incredible. He genuinely loves going to school each day. As parents, there is no better feeling than seeing your child run into the classroom with a smile. Perhaps the strongest endorsement we can give is that we live in West Los Angeles and drive more than 40 minutes each way because we have so much confidence in this program. There are many options closer to home, but none that provide the same combination of care, education, professionalism, and community that we have found here. The team has created something truly special. They are helping shape confident, kind, and capable young learners while giving parents peace of mind that their children are in the best possible hands. We are incredibly grateful for the impact this school has had on our son and our family, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent looking for an exceptional early childhood education experience.

The director, Marie, has worked in childcare and preschool/kindergarten education for decades. We toured different preschools and Burbank Edu-Care stood out to us for multiple reasons. It's a small, intimate environment and the premises are beautiful. They have a garden on the preschool/kindergarten grounds and grow fruits & vegetables which they use to prepare healthy, organic lunches for the children. Lunch and potty training are both included in their very reasonable tuition fees. At other schools, lunch was a separate fee and potty training was an additional fee, or you could not enroll your child if they were not potty trained to begin with. The school has an adorable "parking" area where kids can park their tricycles and push cars in front of the school (behind a secure, gated campus). The private, high-fenced gate in front of the school ensures that strangers cannot see the children from the street and that the children are not in danger of street-based traffic. My 3-year-old child loves Ms. Marie and has so much fun learning and playing with the other children. They have plenty of opportunities for art, dance, music, and sound academic fundamentals like phonics, colors, shapes, etc. My child is completely safe at this school. I am also profoundly touched that Marie has taken a very special interest in our older, autistic child and has been so understanding of our unique childcare schedule. You can tell that she truly loves the children. For Ms. Marie, this is not just a job for her or a paycheck-this is her calling and she is uniquely gifted in her ability to connect with and lovingly care for your child. The school is fully licensed, very safe, it's small, intimate, and the kids are cared for with loving attention. Other schools for small children can feel chaotic or like your kid is a number in a larger setting, but that's not the case here. There is so much comfort in knowing that your child has found his or her community and niche. You don't have to worry about all the horror stories of inexperienced caregivers around your small child. TBH-my MIL was hesitant when I told her we would enroll our little one in preschool. She warned me that some kids find it too traumatic, and maybe she's safer at home (given what she's seen on the news, etc.). We are highly protective of our children. We feel confident we made a great decision choosing Burbank Edu-Care. Given the level of care/attention given to these children (plus potty training and healthy lunches included) -the tuition is very reasonable/affordable. If you tour and call other preschools and kindergartens that are in Burbank-Burbank Edu-Care's rates are very reasonable/affordable and they don't have the hidden fees (for lunches, potty training, additional hours for certain shifts, etc.) that some other programs charge. I highly recommend Burbank Edu-Care and am so grateful we found this amazing school! I can't gatekeep such a wonderful program when so many parents are seeking to find a safe, loving, supportive, and excellent preschool/kindergarten that builds on their child's strengths, gives them a sense of safety, care, and accomplishment, and lets them play with joy and creativity. In our time there they did upgrade the playground to have shade and padding which was nice. Inside it is very clean and they separate the kids by age. There are two doors between the outside and the school so it is secure. They have an iPad check in and check out system. We chose the Learning Place because the director, Ms. Enereyda (Ms. E) is incredibly warm and friendly. I can't say enough positive things about Ms. E. We also liked that she speaks both Spanish and English and we could chat with her in Spanish. The other teachers like Ms. Veronica and Ms. Melina are incredibly warm and friendly as well. We always had very positive interactions with the teachers. We always felt that our daughter was in good hands at The Learning Place. I initially signed her up here because I was working in Glendale. After a year I began work somewhere else but kept her at Learning Place even though we lived in Sherman Oaks. We liked this place very much. Overall - - I highly recommend the Learning Place. We loved our 2 years there.

Staff is super great and informative on a daily basis and always sent pics of our student…read morethroughout the day. We miss this school all the time! The children and other parents are super friendly as well.
