I was referred to this outfit a few years back by my previous primary and have religiously gone here every year for my annual retinopathy exams. As much as I dislike having my eyes checked, I've not ever had a bad experience here. Always very professional, they value your time schedule, and if you have the great fortune of having Dr. Kwong as your ophthalmologist, he is phenomenal. Great bedside manner, personality, and most importantly, his exams are thorough. No complaints at all, highly recommend especially if you're diabetic like I am. 5 stars! read more

I was a patient of New Eyes for 3 years. From the date of my cataract surgery ('22) to Jan '25, EVERY visit my Chief Complaint was "blurry vision, lot's of glare". At the end of 2024 my Chief Complaint had escalated to "blurry vision is much worse I can't drive anymore". My latest New Eyes Ophthalmologist, Dr M said " there is nothing wrong. You just have dry eyes". I was told to go get contacts or lasik surgery. Ten seperate visits, all the same complaint. 'My vision is still blurry". I decided to get a second opinion. Thank goodness I did! My "new Doctor stated "let's get to the bottom of this!" By now (Jan '25) my vision was declining rapidly. After a couple tests, My new Doctor sent me for an MRI, to check the BACK of my eyes. Thank goodness! I had a tumor 1 1-2" by 1". This bew Ophthalmologist actually LISTENED to my complaints! Dr Moghaddampour at New Eyes kept telling me "you have dry eyes. Use eyedrops 4 x day". My complaints were never taken seriously. I had brain surgery at the Mayo Clinic. My surgeon gave me a 50-50 chance that my vision would return since the tumor was pressuring the optic nerve and had been damaged. If I waited any longer I would have been blind. read more

To let my readers know, I waited three-plus months to write this review and gave everyone involved every chance to make things right because I like Dr. Hildebrand and his assistant, Savannah. Unfortunately, the "nice" part of this review ends there due to all the other surrounding staffers and issues. First, whoever sits at the front desk of the 2020 Wellness Way office needs to learn how to greet patients or people in general. At a minimum, raise your head, look at them, and say good morning or good afternoon (you don't even have to smile), but don't just keep your head buried in your telephone and tell people to "sign in." When you tell people you will follow up by calling them within a day or so, follow through. Please don't make the patient chase after the information, wait 45 minutes on hold two weeks later, and force them to hang up. And then, after the patient has chased after you, tell them to call you back when you finally call and leave a message without a name or number telling them to call YOU back. When a patient is asked to do a favor for the doctor (and get the practice paid) and goes out of his way to do that favor and then gets nothing but rude and abrupt staffers calling him for something completely unrelated, there's something wrong with communications in that office. For this reason, I am canceling my wife's cataract surgery and moving to another doctor's office. If I can't trust simple callbacks and information transfers, I surely can't trust any other aspects of this practice. But I still like Dr. Hildebrand and his assistant, so I've left three stars. read more

I had made an appointment with them and it was in 3 weeks. They called me on the Friday before my Monday appointment to cancel. They said I couldn't see a doctor for a cataract without a referral. Their next appointment wasn't for 4 more months. I decided to not schedule. They have sent me appointment reminders and then a text saying I didn't show for my appointment. Not sure where the mix up is but I was very upset with my appointment being cancelled at the last minute. Whoever booked the appointment knew what was coming for and then made me wait three weeks to cancel. I went to New Eyes to see the cornea specialist. The office staff were polite and efficient. Erica was wonderful and patient. She explained all the tests I had to do. By the time the Dr. Came she just examined me and explained what were next steps. Then let us have some time to think about our next steps. She was nice and explained everything. 2 times my appt was canceled less than an hour before. First time my appt was booked with someone who doesn't do consultions (booked 3 weeks before) so no reason for waiting less than an hour before to call me to cancel it. 2nd time they called me 40 min before my appt to let me know I didn't have a referral when I specifically asked the lady booking my appt if I needed one and she said no. Again this was booked weeks before the appt and I received my confirmation email a week before, so why would you wait until 40 min before my appt to cancel it and then give me attitude about it. Absolute worst experience I've ever had just TRYING to book an appt. Extremely unprofessional. I'll go somewhere else. Deserves zero stars if it was an option. read more

We've been waiting here for over an hour just to be told that she's not listed on her stepmothers insurance, however, anywhere else she's used it has not shared the same information. I was hoping to love the surgery.. I DONT! I was monovision in my left eye, and my right eyes saw far. Now, I cannot see as close as I used to,even using the yag in my left eye. Here is my opinion: Chose the doc and the new lenses CAREFULLY! I should not have done my left eye..(close range). The new lens stinks..I cannot see as close as I used to. I needed cataract surgery. It was like going to a car dealer where they were trying upselling for thousands of extra services not covered by insurance per eye and selling financing. I felt that I would get inferior care if I DIDNT go for at least $4000 out of pocket. I didn't go with them. Don't get suckered by unnecessary laser assisting and auto focusing lenses. I had a wonderful experience in my first two visits, and on my two eye surgeries, sadly the care quality is no longer what it was, short and rude office staff, different doctors every time, I felt rushed in my last two appointments. On my last check up the doctor did a simple vision test and started to leave the room, I don't believe she had read my chart, (I have glaucoma and had the glaucoma surgery two years ago and the main reason for the check ups is to check the pressure in my eyes, which she didn't do, I asked her and she said make another appointment and come back, we'll do it next time, my out of pocket expense is around $200.00 Medicare only pays $58.00. I am not going back and pay again to have them do what I had paid for. Then I received a message that they had scheduled an appointment without checking with me, I called and left a message that I was not available on that day, then I received another call telling me that I was marked as a no show, a few days later I received another call that the appointment was rescheduled again without checking with me. I've been going here at the referral of my regular eye doctor. Started off shaky in the beginning trying to coordinate the first appointment but after a few phone calls finally got it scheduled. The staff and doctors are wonderful. They explain everything before doing anything and I appreciate their covid protocol when entering the office as well as the exam and testing rooms. The reason for the four stars and not five is because of their billing process. I have insurance and they always send me bills for payment before the insurance company even has a chance to pay the claim. I love Dr. Austin and I appreciate that they ask me if I wouldn't mind having a student review my case and evaluate me before the student enters the exam room. I had an upper eyelid surgery about 3 months ago. The only reason I am giving 2 star reviews instead of one of because the support staff at new eyes was always very nice. I had ptosis surgery for my right eye. My eyelid started to become droopy but otherwise my eyelid creases were symmetrical. I was informed the surgery would lift my Eyelid for symmetry and to help my vision. Immediately after surgery and weeks following recovery my eye lid crease was no longer even with my eye. My crease was twice the height prior. With my concern that now my eyelid crease was no longer even (prior to surgery it was), I repeatedly mentioned this during my rechecks with Dr. Pizio. During my eye visit It came off very short sided. And she gave me the answer "well your eyes can never be exactly symmetrical and now you can always have surgery on your other eye". She also stated to be patient and give my eyelid time to settle. Unfortunately it's now at the three month mark and my eyelid crease is completely uneven and not even following my Eyelid margin. I'm super disappointed on how this was handled and I wouldn't recommend Dr. Pizio for this surgery despite the reviews and years of experience. At first I tried to be understanding. I even sent photos of my eye and actually got no response back. Now when I go out I have to where make up to try and even out my Eye creases. I will now Have to get another surgery to get my crease fixed. read more

They overcharged me and when I requested for a refund they said I have to wait until the insurance process it. I faxed them the explanation of benefits from the insurance.. twice and then they said they need to get paid from the insurance first. Now they got the money from the insurance and they said they're behind on their refund process. They also said they will call when they process the refund .. its a lie .. no one called. When i contacted them again today they said the refund request has been submitted but it will take 2-3 weeks. That's a total BS!! My service was 2 months ago and now I have to wait more to get my money back. So basically they will take your money and keep it and maybe thinking I will forgot about my overpayment. A NIGHTMARE! Lots of hidden fees. The 12 year staff is completely untrained. Every time I call there, I am transferred to various people who cannot answer any of my questions! Or, I'm put on hold, for ever. Tried asking about a financial break down, can't get anyone to call me back. Everyone is always "away from their desk or with a patient". They seem to have a money making system where they have a prospective patient come in many times, to "evaluate" the problem! Dr. Pizio does NOT do any procedures in office. They refer all patients to the "surgical Center" because I'm told they don't want the "liability"! So, does she do bad work and wants to pass the blame elsewhere? I've been dealing with eye doctors for years and I've seen the full range, including insurance scammers who want unneeded procedures and repeated visits just to drain my patience and my insurance provider. Nope, not here. I saw Dr. Hildebrand on my initial visit, two weeks later my surgery, then another two weeks my first post-op followed shortly after by the second post-op visit when he told me I'm healed and he doesn't need to see me any more. We had to go to Shepherds for two other procedures before the ones at New Eyes and they can't even compare..... Shepherd was rude and difficult to deal with and New Eyes so professional and easy to work with. They will let you go through all the tests, schedule surgery 3 months out, and then cancel due to insurance issues. Yeah, not taking the insurance is an issue. Six months ago I was referred here from Dr Brian at "Vegas Vision". My eyes were in such bad shape, could barely see and had severe eye pain. New Eyes immediately agreed to see me when Vegas Vision gave them a call and told them my situation. Initially I had gone to their Summerlin location, but switched to this location because it was closer to where I live. Both offices are very beautiful, sterile, and smells really good! Staff is courteous and always very professional. The ease of making appointments is super easy and never a hassle. Wait time in the waiting room has always been very short. I was lucky to have seen about 4 of the doctors as I was being treated a few times a month for 6 months. I am so happy and grateful for the intense treatments that I went through. I can now see thanks to all the doctors! Very appreciative to the entire staff and their expert knowledge. Its an ongoing treatment, so will be back on an off to have my eyes checked. I always like to start with the positive. I had PRK procedure (alternative to Lasik) 4 months ago and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Dr Stafeeva is outstanding and she patiently explained my options and performed a flawless procedure. The staff that supports her at both locations is friendly and welcoming. But the doctor is only one part of the overall experience at any practice. The bad : PREPARE TO WAIT. And wait. And wait. Today was appointment #7 (3 prior to surgery, 3 after). I purposely made the appointment at 830am (first appointment of the day). I arrived at 820am and was the 3rd person to sign-in. At 855am I asked the receptionist what was taking so long and got the usual story in return. Out of seven appointments, I've only been seen ONE TIME within 15 minutes of my appointment time. Once I waited 90 minutes. Twice I waited an hour. 35-45 minutes appears to be the norm. As satisfied as I am with the results, I am certain there are other practices that are more considerate of patients' time. I would never have another procedure at New Eyes. read more
