The first sign that this was going to be different was upon entering. The front desk attendant was engaged in an animated conversation with a fellow worker. Obviously too busy to acknowledge customers. I came over looking at the possibility of purchasing a small sound system for our nonprofit's meetings. I stepped into the sound system area. An employee was looking into infinity and an open Sudoku game on his smartphone. I asked where I could find such sound systems and he seemed to be bothered by my intrusion into his Sudoku. He pointed towards the WiFi section. Not a peep. I thought about their training process at Best Buy and how it could be improved. I then stepped in the WiFi and boom box area. An employee was idling by but when she saw me, she stepped away quickly. The cash register area had three employees engaged in conversation. Not one looking at the floor or customers. I ambled about looking at possibly finding a small sound system. Didn't see any values for what I needed. I left the store after 20 minutes. Not one person approached me.
