He looked at my qualifications and worked his magic. He set me up with a wonderful office job that I started at the beginning of 2019 and have been with ever since. To say that he changed my life for the better is a severe understatement. I have recommended as many people as I could to see Regis. In this day and age it's hard to meet someone who has a rare mix of dedication and charisma. I would highly recommend Temporary Alternatives but more importantly, Regis Canning, if you want your life to change for the better.

Time Out New York listed Temporary Alternatives as one of the better ones. I hesitated. Then I decided to go in to take the necessary tests. After I finished, I met with Regis. He totally rocked! He made jokes and told me to call him and "pester" him so that they can get me placed. During that meeting, he told me that there is an opening at an IT consulting firm. Regis said I had the background for it. When I called on Monday morning, Regis said I got a phone interview for the next day. Everything happened pretty quickly. Even though the gig didn't work out (no fault on TempAlt's part), I will totally stay with TempAlts. They seem to know what works and doesn't. Totally cool.

The assistant we got assigned, while perfectly nice, was incompetent. The owner admitted the assigned assistant fell short of their standards and that she had her own doubts about this assistant based on first hand experience, but they still assigned her out to a client. The owner offered a partial refund and a credit for future services, which seemed like a fair handling of the situation. Upon asking questions about how the credit worked, the owner said she was revoking the credit because I "didn't understand the offer." I was surprised at the lack of professionalism during the entire experience and would not recommend Lambent to anyone.

I have over a decades worth of experience in the private sector as a PA/HM and Jillian constantly told me I "wasn't a fit" for all 15 roles I wanted to apply for. In addition, upon our first meeting after I reached out again, she claims to have placed me in three positions. One month went by with zero communication and when I checked in her assistant told me to chalk it up as a loss on all three positions. Another month went by and I was sent by a friend her job list (she never put me in an email list to recieve jobs she was working) so I messaged her a couple that mirrored my experience and resume and she said no because I had to relocate (on my own dime) and I explained to her I couldn't afford to relocate without a secured position, let alone obtain an apartment with no income. Two more weeks went by and I went through all LinkedIn jobs from their agency and their website openings and presented a list of 7 positions and asked if there were any I could be presented to. Her answer was no. Bottom line is the dismissal of my time, experience and qualifications was disgusting. "Woman owned" is just code for "petty and nasty". Being told you're not a good fit for a position your resume completely mirrors is mind boggling to me, so it seems maybe she didn't like me enough or for some superficial reason she didn't want to assist me. 80% of the positions were also asking for 5 years experience and I have almost triple that, proven longevity, and impeccable references.
