The employers whom they recruit for are mostly industrial and transportation. The only great thing about this employment office is their computer resource facility for one hour of free internet usage including fax machine, copying, and phone calls which all must be job search related. Staff are RUDE and un-compasssionate as they process paperwork from job candidates like apathetic robots.

I had volunteered thru the Court for a HRA "Step Program" I was not aware this program is a set up, and clearly for failure. I had an appointment for a follow up in regards to a License I was not aware I had to meet with a alledge career advisor, stated their was alledgelly miscommunication, She also stated to me that she had to report to the judge, making threats. I did not concent to any "free" or volunteer time, specially 120 hours a month, only to just sit around on a program that's very poor and not consistant with veterans needs, career opportunities, training or assistance. This Program is more geared towards Welfare recipient and failure. I was not aware that it's not a HRA direct program,This was my first time at this location its located right next Public Assistance Office a bad area, I was not aware AW is not part of HRA and was very confused that this are the individuals in charge of alledgelly helping in getting into a job training program, got a rude awakening since I already have the background and history of employment. I was very discouraged, the female alledge that I have to do 120 hours a month (No pay) the career adviser / Corporate Representative Ms. Spears MA was very quick to state to me of reporting negatively to the support Magistrate for FC, a program that I had volunteer to attend in good faith to ratified arrears base of erroneous math by said Magistrate, even thought I already and previously is actively working with Veterans specialized organizations assisting me in finding employment including AW. El anuncio no especificaba esto; de haberlo sabido, no habría ido, ya que mi fuerte es mi licencia de conducción vigente. * 13/02/26: Fui para el puesto de mesero en un restaurante italiano en Flushing (Primo Amore). El anuncio decía "Mesero con buen inglés". Mi experiencia es en catering y soy hablante nativo de inglés, por lo que asumí que calificaba perfectamente. Please beware! After three months without a job I was looking for an agency that will help me get a…read moregood decent job. When I stopped by I told her I was looking for an pffice job. She told me that she does not have any office spots available but a hostess position available from 6am to 2 pm and they pay 500/ wk monday to friday. I felt it was so good to be true but she assured me that she spoke to them and those are the hours and they will take me I just have to meet with them. I had to pay $120.00 but she quaranteed me that the job was mine and I could start tommorow. When I went to the restaurant that offered me the position they told me that the hours are from 6 to 10 p.m. and that at this moment they are looking for someone to work Friday to Sundayand the pay was way less than what she told me also he told me that at this moment they don't need anyone. I was extremely upset that she lied to me but then when I called her she told me they were lying. She did not give my money back she is a scam artist and I will be reporting her. The next day I came in their were other ppl that were complaining that the job description was different from what she said and the job was already taken.
