I was with a group of 11 from work, and we went at dinner for a colleagues farewell dinner. Ordered nachos and onion rings as starters to share. The onion rings were nice, but came with a side of ketchup, rather than blue cheese dressing like you get in the US. But the nachos, while plentiful and tasty, didn't taste like the kind I am used to in the States, as there were no beans, and the guacamole was missing some tartness.
When it came to ordering, it took some time, as there were two vegetarians among the group and apart from 2 sandwiches, there are absolutely NO vegetarian options. But the waitress was really great and worked with us, so that the vegetarian eaters got a sort of modified nachos with some fajitas on the side. So this was really nice of the Staff and made up for their slackness when it came to getting our drinks order.
I ordered the chicken fajitas, and they were pretty good. I missed jalapeños and rice and cheese and salsa, and guacamole cause all u get is sour cream. But the chicken and onions and peppers were good. Oh, also in the mixed platter, the burritos had bbq sauce instead of salsa, and this also threw off another American colleague.
So, it's definitely food for the Belgium palate, because if you are from the US, I would suggest Rockin Donkii in Lueven as it is more authentic Tex-mex. read more
