After calling nearly a dozen providers, I was told by Pamela that I could get a walk-in appointment to see a primary care physician. What I think she meant to say was that I could receive primary care at their walk-in clinic, but I having explained a number of times that I was looking to start a primary care relationship I don't understand how that could be confusing. When I arrived at the location, I was told that this was not the case, and that I would not in fact be able to establish care with the primary care physician today. The earliest I would be able to do so would be Wednesday. As I expressed my frustration with the miscommunication, I was sure to explain to the receptionist in her colleague that I was in no way placing blame upon them. Yet, as I spoke, it was hard not to see the disrespectful head shake. The receptionist kept giving me. It was not appreciated, and I let them know that I was not interested in their services.
