My GP is a hugely experienced fellow, but when he's not there and I have to see someone else, I feel in equally capable hands, and they've looked after me on numerous occasions. They even allow emergency appointments - just ring first thing in the morning and they'll fit you in on the same day somehow.

Always helpful, efficient, understanding e.t.c. Then things started to go titanic. First of all, one of the receptionists discussed OVER THE PHONE what I had said to my doctor, with my mum. The simple truth is that they didn't know who was on the phone. It could have been anyone, and I didn't think that they were supposed to disclose info like that without your permission. Then they put the icing on the cake a few months later, when I suffered a grand mal epileptic convulsion in their waiting area. From my understanding, they pinned me down while I was having the convulsion (which for the record is something you must NEVER do) and then afterward, let me walk out of the surgery not knowing who I was or what I was doing. All I knew was that one minute I was in the surgery and then I was in the middle of the main road that runs nearby. Even my neurologist was boggled at this when I explained it to him. When I returned for another appointment, the doctor I saw made fun and when a complaint was made by my mum regarding their conduct, the doctor she spoke to managed to make her feel bad about me having a seizure in front of all the other patients. Deeply unimpressed. Since I switched my doctor at the practice about 6 months ago I have not had any further problems. If none of this had happened, I would have actually been inclined to give 5 stars. Pity.
