I always liked this restaurant and last year I stopped ordering pork dishes. Started serving fatty pork. No problem. There were other dishes I liked. But tonight I picked up some egg rolls. The shell was slightly soft and not crisp. Insides still had a delicious filling. But when I opened General Tso chicken, I thought it looked funny. But I tried it anyway. New China Restaurant is neither better nor worse than other Americanized Chinese take-out I've tried locally. Hot and sour soup was generous in portion size with a good amount of tofu and mushrooms, but not much flavor. Garlic shrimp, ordered extra spicy, was not spicy at all. Shrimp were bay shrimp, pretty much lost amidst the familiar stir-fry melange of broccoli, bamboo shoots and baby corn. On the other hand, there were no off flavors, service was prompt, and the lunch special is a bargain $5.45 plus tax. read more

We came across you accidentally and know it was not a mistake. Not only is the service wonderful but your food is the absolute best and freshest of any Chinese restaurant we have been too!! First impression, very friendly reception upon ordering. Pickup is designed for COVID, pickup box and payment slot, you don't go into the restaurant at all. All food was double wrapped and in strong containers. The hot and sour soup was one of the best ever, very flavorful. House special lo mein had just the right taste. Moo shu pork was tasty and plentiful. The happy family was cooked to perfection flavor wise and veggies were just right. First time visitor, we will be back again to sample other entries. Not bad, but not good. A bit of a step up from food court Chinese. I ordered the double cooked pork which was awful. The pork was rubbery and tasteless and the sauce, though it had potential, lacked any real flavor. It had a hint of spice which was nice, but not enough to warrant the title of Spicy Double Cooked Pork. My dining partner had the Royal Crown Trio, which was pretty good. When I moved to the village in 2010, the food was phenomenal! Huge portions, good quality, and fresh! The last 2-3 years, the quality and freshness have gone completely downhill! Wonton Soup tastes like it is spoiled! Egg rolls are very greasy! Even the chicken, beef and seafood dishes have off flavoring to them, and veggies are undercooked! I'm not sure if they've changed owners/cooks in recent years, but the quality and freshness I've come to expect is gone. I've periodically given New China another chance to see if things have improved, but each order continues to disappoint. There are better Chinese food options available in Malta and Saratoga Springs, and I'd rather drive the extra distance for a vastly improved and fresh product! Unless you change your ways and figure out how to bring your food back to an edible product, I will be reluctant to order food from New China again! read more

Food used to be good quality. Had a horrible experiance with a delivery. My order was almost 2 hours late that day and when I refused to tip due to the lack of communication of it and now my food was cold the driver had the nerve to ask me "that's it" as in no tip when he noticed I didn't give one. Been here a few times during lunch going to Saratoga for apt. Food comes out fresh, cheap lunch special. Accept c/c but purchase over $10 so bring Cash! The place is small and people that works here seam to be so serious sometime I can't understand them and I'm Asian. Lol but it doesn't mean I won't come again. I had Szechuan beef and it was good I like it w/different kind of veg. General Tso's chicken also good no complain, Kong po chicken not bad too much peanuts and not enough chicken. Not bad considering they are located in B-Spa, the staff is friendly and they deliver quickly. The boneless spare ribs are different from all else's too, in flavor and in the way they appear to be cooked. Really good. Ordered online (easy order) on their website at 7pm and paid with a credit card on there, tip included. 8pm we get a phone call saying sorry they are running a little late, should be another 20 minutes or so. 8:50pm, they finally ring the door bell right as we were about to call the restaurant asking where our food was. The deliver man was completely rude, didn't even say a single word, let alone a sorry for the wait or offered a discount for our food being nearly two hours late. I'm regretting adding the tip when I first ordered, and I would never suggest this place to anyone. Will never order from them again, so disappointed. The food was ok (not that difficult to mess up Chinese) but I was completely disgusted by the customer service. One star is being generous. read more

Ate here last night. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, 2 Crab Rangoon, 4 Egg Rolls, 1 small Boneless Spareribs, 1 Veggie Moo Shu and 2 Sesame Chickens. Our tab was $62.00. The egg rolls were said to be absolutely delicious. I didn't taste them but they looked good. The Crab Rangoon was good but not great. Boneless Spareribs were actually very tasty and I really liked them. Their meat, in general, was...meh - Ok. I ordered the Kung Pao with white chicken meat. It was breast meat but it was the Chinese take out kind: flat and sort of processed looking. I picked the chicken out. The Kung Pao also consisted mainly of celery, water chestnuts and baby corn. There was an occasional pea pod or carrot. I found this dish unimpressive. The Sesame Chicken was ok. It was dark meat and every time I took a bite I expected to bite into a gristly part - although I didn't. It was meat throughout. Again, I was indifferent to the dish. The Moo Shu was good, although there were a ton of water chestnuts. Overall I would say this restaurant is fine. It's pretty close to my house so if I was feeling really lazy I'd order from here again. Although, to be honest, there are other take outs I like much more than New China and I'll probably make the drive to ones I like better. read more

This food is always good when we order. We usually get General Tso's and broccoli with garlic sauce combination platters. Rice is the brown kind which I Love!! The egg rolls are plump and delicious. We also usually get Crab Rangoon's that are always on point. Occasionally we order the wonton soup which is also very delicious. The wontons are just great and not overly soggy. The last time we ordered the four tune cookies had Kung Foo Panda advertising. This is our go to Chinese.
