A-OK. Sweet and Sour Pork was the typical upstate rendition without vegetables, an overflowing quart container with rice on the side was $8.95=excellent value. Hot & Sour soup was $3.95 for a quart, missing some vinegar and pepper but sliced fresh mushrooms made up for it somewhat. While I was waiting I had the Double Sauteed Pork lunch which was less a less generous portion, costs just $4.95 but comes without soup. It's noted as spicy on the menu, I asked for it extra spicy, it arrived with no discernible capsicum. The fortune cooky was fresh though. Dropped in on this place, figuring we'd give it a go. A neighbor recommended it, saying the joint was WAY better than most other Chinese in the area. Boy, was that an understatement. It's not much to look at. Just a tiny little place in the strip with a neon noodle bowl in the window. About 5 tables. Seating for about 20. Does anyone actually sit down to eat at these places anymore? Same generic picture menu above the register as so many other places have. At least the paper menu was original, without all the generic Chinese food clip-art. The husband ordered the Szechuan beef, while I dared to try the General Tso's Tofu. Think they were #66 and #51b or something like that. 15 minutes of prep. Bagged, paid, and out the door. We were pleasantly surprised to find that 1) the food came in these really nice plastic rectangular containers. So tired of the aluminum ones with the plastic lids that leak everywhere (though the food was in a paper sack placed in a plastic bag, just in case -- very thoughtful!) 2) the food trays were filled to bursting with what we ordered. Very little in the way of "filler veggies" 3) the steamed rice was packed in its own separate container. VERY nice. The beef was tender, juicy, perfectly spiced, and without all the usual greasiness that so often marks the typical ChinAm style food. Veggies were perfectly tender but crisp. So very tasty. My General Tsofu was fantastic. I bit into the first steaming hot cube and thought for a split second that they'd given me chicken somehow. So crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and covered in the beauty of General Tso's sauce. I'd give it 3 thumbs if I had an extra lying around. Even with the tip, the damage was only about $20, and there's at least 2 or 3 meals' worth of food in each carton. Most definitely worth the $$. Do I miss getting a crappy egg roll or wanton wrapper stuffed with cream cheese with my food? No, not at all. And both of our fortune cookies had beautiful grammatical or spelling errors that you HAVE to have to make everything enjoyable. We'll be going back soon! read more

I had been ordering from this place for a couple of years and it was great food. But they've gone far downhill in the last 6 months. Tonight is the 3rd time in a row that I have gotten food that is not what I had ordered. First I had ordered mei fun with tofu. For some reason the guy that took my order thought I said I wanted it spicy. It was so hot I really couldn't eat it. Next time I ordered Mongolian beef. Instead of telling me that they didn't have Mongolian beef they just doctored up "steak and scallions" to be kind of like Mongolian beef. At least, that's what she told me when i called to complain. It was nothing like Mongolian beef and it was disgusting. This time, I ordered Chinese vegetables with tofu. I got steamed mixed vegetable with gooey, under cooked tofu and a tub of brown sauce. Usually you have to ask to have your meal steamed if that's what you want. And the vegetables are just this side of raw. I'm not going to order from here again. read more
