My son was a patient here for about two years. During that time, changes in personnel at his school caused his behavior to change. Like most children on the spectrum, he thrives on routine. His SLP, Ms. Annette Barron, reported that my son had bitten her and that his behavior had become aggressive over the course of three weeks. He was then discharged from speech therapy after the owner claimed to have had a multidisciplinary meeting with Diego's OT and Feeding Therapist. We were called in for a meeting where the owner mentioned that since speech therapy was a structured environment, Diego would need to have his behaviors addressed first. However, the discharge was final. There was no opportunity to seek medication or involve the parent in the goal-setting process, which was one of my struggles with the center. The owner offered support to my son's school therapist but did not attempt to build the capacity of her SLP, Ms. Annette. We followed the suggestions of the SLP by not observing his sessions and changing his time as recommended by Ms. Annette, only to later be told that we did not participate in his sessions and that he would thrive with OT followed by speech. The challenges arose as we advocated to see more growth in our son since he was thriving in school. Following the recommendation of his pediatrician, we dropped my son from all programs, and he is now thriving at his new center. Many of the reviews on this page are at the request of the center. The therapists will continuously ask for positive reviews. If you have a challenging situation with your kids, want to be part of the goal-setting process, or have the utmost respect for your child's physician, then this is not the place for you. They will continuously assert that the doctor is not the expert or professional in their area. As a leader in education, all I can do is inform the parents I work with about the experiences we had. Not all the therapists are unethical, but at least in my son's interaction with Ms. Annette, it was. read more

Our experience has been with Kendra. And I am so thankful we crossed paths. My little girl (now 2 yrs old) was having a terrible time with latching from the day of birth. After a few weeks, I was able to get her breast feeding. That lasted a few months up until she was reaching her 1st birthday. We started having bad latching episodes. Long story short, after insisting that something isn't right, and my motherly intuition & google photos, my daughter was finally diagnosed with lip, tongue and cheek ties. After changes of physicians, both dental and primary, we somehow got into paths with New Beginnings. We contacted and met with Kendra, whom we shared our long detailed story. She was very kind and made me feel not only heard, but she genuinely cared for my little girl's treatment plan/evaluation. She is kind, gentle, informative, professional and understanding. She even offers weekend appointments which is incredibly important for us to also include dad in on this journey. It's very important for both of us to be present and learn. Kendra is an accredited, educated speech pathologist and I feel confident in her ability to treat our children and get them the help they need. New beginnings has a waitlist and I'm sure Kendra is on a team full of educated, special health professionals! I am currently going to be placing ourselves on the waitlist for another (new eval) since I am so impressed with Kendra and New Beginnings. read more

My 5 year old has been coming here for well over a year now. He's been working with Carla since the beggining. Before he started receiving services here, I had such an unbelievably difficult time communicating with him. He had trouble expressing his needs, wants, feelings, interests, and so on. Through working with Carla, he's made miraculous progress. Carla has gone above and beyond to help Cayden but also give us as parents resources and methods to achieve effective communication with our child. We can now parent more successfully and our child now has the skills to express his thoughts/feelings. Its no exaggeration that receiving services has been life changing for my child, and us parents alike. read more

The people could not be more friendly or helpful, bending over backwards to serve my every need, even my special dietary issues. I vibrant Physical Therapy program that worked around my dialysis schedule but still got me back on my feet and mobile again in the time I had set a goal for. They offered to do my laundry during my stay. They had several shower options as I progressed that I really appreciated. And every person I met was super engaging and seemed genuinely concerned about my well being during my stay. Inviting me to religious services, of which they hold one daily, of various religions depending on the day. A "game" room with bingo and other engaging games and group activities, to get you out of the room and out of the bed. A nurse always on duty, to talk to or get meds. And they even set a daily morning and evening med schedule and administered my meds in a timely manner, on schedule to help me heal and keep me in good health. They also provided me rides to and from my dialysis treatments 3 times a week. And they were CONSTANTLY cleaning, my room, the hall, you Name it... very sanitary. Every the night time nurse and CNA's check in you every few hours just to make SURE you're "OK" in your room. If I EVER have to go back into a situation where I need rehab or an extended stay with nursing care again, I will definitely return to Pebble Creek Nursing Center. Their staff is off the charts !!!

Michael has been my son's occupational therapist and has been by far a blessing for my son. My son is excited to come to therapy and gets excited every time we come. For once I don't have to force my son to do therapy. Before New Beginnings we struggled with my son and therapy. I highly recommend Michael and his supervisor. My son has improved so much since starting occupational therapy and he continues to thrive. I am extremely thankful for everything Michael has done for my son. For the first time in a long time, I have hope that my son is finally getting the help that he needs. The office is always clean and they have so many things available for my son's sensory needs. The services at New Beginnings are by far the best. My children had been to other facilities that they never liked until I found one, they enjoyed. We were so blessed to finally find a facility that not only takes care of our children's needs but also makes sure that the parents are involved in the process. As a mother of 3 it's difficult to find services that will tend to each one of their needs. Luckly, we found Saul, Leslie and Michael which hit it off with them instantly. If you're looking for a place to bring your children for speech or occupational therapy this is the facility to bring them. They go above and beyond. My daughter's speech therapist is Victoria Chacon, she has done an out standing job in helping my daughter learn multiple skills in meeting her vocabulary milestones. She has learned so much with their time together .Besides being a very sweet and loving therapist, she truly does show love and patience. My daughter absolutely loves her. you can tell she genuinely enjoys her job. Shes a wonderful therapist id recommend her 100% to anyone needing speech therapy for their child. Saul was more than wonderful with my daughter. She saw him for cognitive therapy with his recommendation of twice a week. Saul got to know my daughter and made a good relationship with her which helped with their sessions. I am forever grateful for his services. I would recommend him to anyone. My daughter speaks of him til this day. I could also say each Staff member seemed very polite with every child who walked through those doors. We have been going to new beginnings for about 2 years now. We work with Saul Tercero. I absolutely love Saul. We were at a different center where I did not like curriculum they were using. I did a walk through at new beginnings and spoke with Saul and it just clicked. He gives me the best advice and my girls have improved for the better. My daughter who has autism has matured so much.
