Counseling was not the bad part of my experience, I am assuming they are good counselors just may be working for the wrong company. During the one appointment I had my contact information was not confirmed. This lead to the office having the completely wrong email address for me despite still having the correct telephone number. I had believed my insurance was going to cover the visit so I was not expecting a bill. Almost a year after the service I received a threatening text message that alluded to Connections Counseling taking me to collections. This was conveyed over text message and in a unprofessional manner. Especially since I hadn't known about the bill and the company had not attempted to contact me via phone. After paying the bill over the phone I asked to give a review. I was harassed with multiple phone calls after this before finally getting to this form. I would not recommend connections counseling to anyone wanting to focus on their mental health. They are more focused on getting money out of their clients and their service is incredibly expensive (over 150/hr) comparatively to counseling you can receive online or through other counseling services. There's a balance to pointing out the denial in people while still remaining understanding, and we've been fortunate enough to get both. Appointments are almost never canceled, start on time or within a few minutes, and you are given resources to work with at home. It's also nice that Kyle is willing to share some personal experiences and make you feel like you're talking with a friend versus being talked at. Something we really appreciate.
