I drove my 80 year old mother an hour to get her shoes before she had hip replacement. She wears narrow shoes and New Balance has always fit her well. The female associate was not helpful but also rude. It was as if we were intruding on her space. She did not offer anything to us. We found shoes which she liked but were told there were none in stock and this lady never offered to order us the ones in the correct size. Just deplorable customer service. My feet are so happy right now. I worked with Michele and she was extremely helpful. I had no idea what I wanted and I have weird long and narrow feet that roll in weird ways. She was very patient with me and helped me get shoes that fit and were comfortable. Poor lady had to go to the stock room 7 or 8 times. But she helped me find two perfect pairs of shoes and I loved it. And they had my size which never happens!! read more

This is easily the best shoe store I have ever been too. It is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for as the old saying goes. Walked in was immediately greeted by Matt, who promptly suggested we sit down for a measurement. Upon taking off my old sneakers he noticed that I had the heel in one shoe worn down rather badly, he knew exactly what my problem was, I had been to the doctor just days before and was told I was going to need custom orthopedic inserts. I was amazed at this man's knowledge of the human foot, in any other setting it probably would have been creepy. He quickly brought out 4 or 5 pairs of shoes that he had figured I might like from asking me what I do for a living and colors and styles I like. I was sold after the second pair, both pairs were very awesome on my feet and my pain almost went away completely. Very great sales person who entertained the wife's shoe interests while still taking care of me. Thanks Matt, we will be back. read more

Ok to buy at store but don't order, been waiting 19 days for shoes and was told today that they were ordered 2 days ago when I ordered on June 30th, called on July 10 th was told they would be in Monday the 12th or Tuesday the 13th. Called today the 18th and was told they were ordered 2 days ago. I canceled the order. What kind of service did I have.????. Wont go back. read more

I also am very grateful for the New Balance Shoestore in Granger, In. I bought a pair for almost $160 in Dec, 2015. I didn't wear them but when I checked the fit in March, 2016...they were the wrong size. I took them back and got an equal exchange for the correct size. Again, I did not wear them until my cruise in December, 2016. After two days of wearing them, I had huge blisters and the pain was terrible. I tried wearing two pair of socks, bandages, pads, using ointment, antibacterial ointment and wearing a different pair of shoes. Once I got home, I didn't wear them for almost a month. The blisters started to heal although the skin was peeling from both feet for weeks. I tried them again this week and after an hour, I could feel the burning and see the blisters coming on again. I took them back today in the original box with the original receipt and asked what the store could do for me. They took the shoes back, credited me with the full price. I picked out a pair just like I had before and got $36 back on my credit card because the new ones were cheaper! Now that is customer service! I have purchased New Balance shoes from this store for several years and never had a problem. I think something in the material of the inner shoe might have triggered this reaction. read more

I bought a pair of running shoes from the Heritage store in Granger and was very disappointed. For the price I paid they didn't last. After a month of hardly wearing them, the fabric on the sides of both shoes had holes in them. I took them back to the store and was told this was normal wear and there was nothing they could do. It wasn't normal wear, the soles had no wear and didn't even show and scuff marks or dirt on them. I find it sad that after the prices they charge they don't even back up their own products. I strongly advise anyone to think twice before buying a pair of shoes from the New Balance Heritage Square store in Granger, IN. read more

I was appalled by the horrible service I received in this store yesterday. I went in with the specific purpose of buying shoes for my son who'd worn a hole completely through his current pair of New Balance shoes. I was greeted by a salesman (I'm sorry to say that I didn't check his name), and I asked to have my son's feet sized. He promptly informed me that sizing his feet would NOT tell me what size shoes I should buy. When I questioned him, he said that sizing doesn't guarantee that shoes of that size will fit one's foot. I realize that all shoes fit differently, but this man's attitude was not at all what I'd expect from a salesman! At this point, he did have my son step on the sizing guide, but he did not bother to check the width of my son's foot, and told me generally that my son was measuring at "about a 2." Oddly enough, my son's current new balance shoes are a 3.5 W. After measuring my son's foot, the salesman walked away. He WALKED AWAY, and that was that. I was left standing there with no help whatsoever. I had my son put his shoes on and we left. As much as I like New Balance shoes, I will NEVER return to this particular store to buy them. read more
