However, they would not let me schedule the DEXA scan because it was under insurance. They would call me. Well, fast forward two-plus weeks and I finally called them. I spoke with scheduling (I believe it was a call center out of the US given the accent and demeanor) and was told that it had already been scheduled. I had to explain that the scheduled test was for the ultrasound and NOT the DEXA scan! She seemed a bit confused but then admitted that it had been overlooked and proceeded to schedule my appointment for five weeks out. So far, not so good. I hope my actual appointments are better. I wish these places would use local people for scheduling which would give it a personal feel rather than mechanical. I worked in a busy medical office for 30 years and retired six months ago. We never switched to an automated phone system and our patients were very appreciative.

Then it was insurance again. Then it was the doctors office scheduler. Then they didn't have the right form. Then they "stopped doing X-rays on Saturdays". Now they do not have "me in the system" even though I was in the system two days ago when I tried to have my X-ray on a Saturday. It's blowing my mind at this point. How is this place still open? One wonders. Anyway if you have any say in the matter, I would try my absolute best to avoid this place. Or you can wait eight months for a basic run of the mill X-ray.

Setting up appointments are a hit or miss, sometimes you'll get someone who is inhospitable or indifferent, other times you'll get the friendliest, most helpful person. It really is just crapshoot. BUT once you are at the center, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. During this recent visit, the young lady at the front reception room was very courteous and professional. The mammogram technician I encountered during this visit, Megan, was a consummate professional, she was very clinical and gave precise, easy instructions to follow. I've always had a positive experience at Reno Diagnostic Centers and I will more than likely continue using their services in the future.

Not good. After I…read morewent through so much time and trouble to even GET an appointment, and had a bunch of false information tossed at me while trying to get an appointment, Reno Diagnostic Centers violated Federal law regarding we Veterans when it directly billed me. To add further insult to injury to me, Reno Diagnostic Centers illegally directly billed me twice. When I call them, who answered won't even give me their name. The fact that Reno Diagnostic Centers FAILS to respond to negative Yelp reviews here screams to the public that they don't care one bit what the public thinks of it. Reno Diagnostic Centers violates Federal law regarding we Veterans and it's contracts with Tri-West. As a Veteran, ALL my health care coverage is with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VA very rarely sends me outside the VA for my healthcare. VA does that through a third-party service known as Tri-West. VA and Tri-West have a contract. Reno Diagnostic Centers entered into contract with Tri-West to provide me healthcare. Per Federal law, I have NO contract with Tri-West or Reno Diagnostic Centers. Again, per Federal law regarding we Veterans, I the Veteran have NO contract with Reno Diagnostic Centers. Federal law PROHIBITS outside VA healthcare providers such as Reno Diagnostic Centers who have Tri-West contracts from directly billing me or any Veteran or demanding any financial information of any sort from me, including but not limited to, Social Security number, or address, from Veterans. The only item outside VA healthcare providers such as Reno Diagnostic Centers who have Tri-West contracts can legally obtain from me, the Veteran is a copy of my, the Veterans VA healthcare id. Yet, Reno Diagnostic Centers routinely violates Federal law by directly billing me and other Veterans and illegally demanding financial information, including but not limited to, my the Veteran's Social Security numbers, my the Veteran's Medicare or Medicaid cards and my the Veteran's address, from not only me, but also other Veterans. When I called Reno Diagnostic Centers, what a LOT of work that was to get through, then no name given, and had a bunch of false information tossed at me, so I had to escalate to a supervisor. A supervisor, again no name to give, told me they know the rules they had agreed to under their contract with Tri-West and Federal law but had no explanation for why they keep breaking the rules they had agreed to under their contract with Tri-West and Federal law. It was "oh, well to bad so sad nothing we can do" from them. Reno Diagnostic Centers word is no good, they are UNPROFESSIONAL and they screw-over me as a Veteran. Reno Diagnostic Centers is NOT a Veteran-friendly business AND clearly contributes to why so many Veterans succumb to suicide at almost three times the rate of non-Veterans. P.S. Don't message me because in spite of my several complaints to yelp, for years now I am unable to open up any messages in yelp to me :-(

Initially scheduling was an outright nightmare and I would give scheduling zero stars. However the…read morestaff at Pringle way imaging, specifically Nurse Laquisha ("Q") who was an absolute ANGEL, and Supervisor Charlie, were so very helpful in helping to navigate about a 2 month ordeal of scheduling a brain MRI for me. I had the complication of an implanted device to be navigated. It is amazing what staff with critical thinking skills and determination can accomplish in a short time. After my appointment was cancelled once by Renown, it continued to be difficult to schedule due to this device and "protocols" required to make sure it was "safe." Charlie and Q helped and problem solved in one day it was handled. I was contacted for pre-appointment (insurance) and confirmation the Friday morning before my Monday 8am MRI, only to be notified by email 2 hours later that it would be CANCELLED (2nd time) . We all spent hours making this appointment possible, assuring protocol was complete. I knew this cancellation was inaccurate and I was irate and called to explain the protocols HAD been completed, asked that they verify with Imaging and provided names of who to talk to. I was placed on hold then told nope, it has been cancelled. I checked with imaging and finally with Supervisor, Charlie, who had NOT cancelled my MRI. He was able to save this appointment and made sure I was seen and testing was completed today. I am eternally grateful for the Q and Charlie team for taking action and assuring that my test was done. Renown, please take notice of how silos do not work, communications are lost, appointments are messed up, due to errors. I had to advocate for HOURS to make these appointments, I had to call them to reschedule after they cancelled my first appointment, I had to repeatedly call and request they call me back and tell me what the issues were so I could help solve them. Scheduling did not read notes, did not listen to me or contact imaging to verify what I told them, they said too bad and hung up. I can not imagine if I were an elderly person trying to get this done. Thank you Charlie and Q you made all the difference !!

After that no one spoke.. the lady technician was absolutely disgruntled and her energy was giving fml vibes all morning.. If you can schedule elsewhere I would suggest doing so if you want to have an experience that's at least an average normal one.. I understand we all have issues but this was beyond the scope of having a bad moment it was more like I am miserable every moment of every day and I want you to know it.. If you do happen to go I simply hope your experience was better than mine..

My insurance requires that I go to St. Mary's, and quite often I find St. Mary's less than spectacular. However, today was stellar. Mario was the technician, and he had an assistant (whose name escapes) me started with a short explanation of how the test was gonna go. They told me would take about 10 minutes and that's about how long it took. They prepared me with an IV for the dye. They help me get comfortable and then allowed the machine to do his work. After it was all over, I told Mario that I accidentally parked in the emergency area, and he escorted me through the emergency room so I didn't have to walk on the outside of the whole hospital. From start to finish the whole process of a double CT scan took less than 45 minutes. I think that is record time for entering a medical facility for an appointment. I definitely recommend the radiology department here
