I called about an external transfer and was told that I could not check the status online without a cell phone. The transfer never went through and caused a real problem. Just went to make a transfer and cannot do it without a cell phone for verification. Hate to say this but not everyone uses a cell phone. Some of us don't walk around thumbing the thing. Does the customer have any say? They don't care what you want. You must do it their way. But I do have a choice I can go somewhere else.

I discovered them online and while I'm not active duty, my father served for 28 years which makes my mother and I eligible for membership. Rinnie B. (one of the managers) at this branch is truly outstanding. She not only answered several questions about my checking account, but got me approved for a credit card (with a much larger limit) and half the interest I was paying with another bank that promises to be "of America" in its name. Not only did she do this, but helped my mom move her accounts over, and even refinanced her new car at less than half the rate of a bank with a stagecoach in its logo... The only complaint is that if you make a deposit at a non-Navy Fed ATM, there's a 5 day hold on the deposit. Given that most ATM's are ones which do not require envelopes, I would think that the deposit could be verified instantly. Other than that, Navy Federal is an excellent financial partner.

Arlington in Reno yesterday. After explaining what I was trying to do, she was able to sit down with me, gather the information needed to apply for the loan and I was quickly approved. She was super friendly, very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I was able to reduce my monthly payment and lower the interest rate. SPCU was able to accomplish what I wanted to achieve easily. This was a positive experience for me and I highly recommend SPCU and am considering doing additional business with them in the future.
