I have always been curious about IV therapy and wondered if it really helped and if the hype from…read morecelebrities was real, and this week was the perfect opportunity to find out. I had been feeling under the weather from a mild cold I was recovering from, and I was about to go on a 3 day trip to Southern Cali so I wanted a boost before I left. Best decision! I walked into Thrive IV Wellness Lounge, filled out some paperwork, and was quickly brought back to the IV lounge area where Crosby (the IV Tech) asked me a few basic medical history questions and explained the options available and the benefits of each "IV cocktail". Since my goal was get a bit of an immunity booster it was suggested I get the Essential Cold Care IV pack which is packed with a ton of vitamins/upplements. Most people aren't needle fans, including me but I must say the insertion was actually easy and painless. The lounge area was quiet and relaxing, had plenty of recliners, and I was even offered water and a snack. Once the drip started, my arm felt a bit chilly which I was warned about, and it took about 50 mins for my body to consume the fluids. The quickest results I noticed was the relief of the mild headache I've had for the last 2 days. It completely disappeared 15-20 mins into my session, so that was awesome. Well, it's now 9 hours post IV Therapy and I feel better than I have the last 3 days and had enough energy to take a pilates class. Safe to say I'm a believer and I will be back! If you're on the fence about trying IV Therapy, you'll be happy to hear new clients get 20% off their first IV therapy session.

I opted for the Covid Cosmo (now known as the Essential Cold Care) and the extra 500 ML saline solution ($25). I was surprised that it included: Vitamin C, B-12, B-complex, Magnesium, Zinc, Lysine, Biotin, Glutathione, Selenium & NAD+ and vitamin D. The price was only $200. After a gastric bypass in 2001 left me chronically dehydrated and unable to absorb vitamins/nutrients, leaving me with both nutritional and vitamin deficiencies. I've been having medically prescribed IV infusions for years and my out-of-pocket co-pay is always more than $200. I started with an email to Thrive Infusion IV Wellness Lounge asking for an IV infusion appointment for the following Wednesday for the afternoon. I was immediately contacted by Lindsey and confirmed for a 1:00. She texted me to confirm my IV selections, my appointment and gave me the address. They are located inside their sister company: Brain Health Restoration. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by Christine at the front desk and soon afterwards my nurse; Crosbie arrived to take me back. The facility was very clean and quiet. Crosbie reviewed my intake paperwork; and she was both knowledgeable and thorough. I didn't feel rushed in any way and appreciated the time she took to respond to my questions. Once connected my IV with the extra hydration took about 90 minutes to drip. Crosbie was attentive, easy to talk to she checked my IV regularly making sure it was flowing well. We chatted and before I knew it, I was done. When I arrived, at best I was hoping to leave feeling refreshed. But I left feeling that the boost to my immune system was immediate had 100% absorption. I feel my energy and mental clarity have improved, even my sleep has been notably better. I am so grateful to the Thrive team for making my visit a positive experience from beginning to end. I am looking forward to coming in regularly to maintain this natural high and can't wait to try the new oxygen therapy and PH balance. Maureen Price

Emily is awesome! She's friendly, helpful, honest, and fair! I've made Bella Grey Med Spa my go-to…read moreplace and so grateful to Emily and her staff for making me feel welcome and taking such good care of me during each visit!

It pains me to write this, but here you go..... and a bit long…read more Bella Grey Medical Spa! If you do AI on what a Medical Spa is, this is the definition: A medical spa, or med spa, is a hybrid facility that combines the relaxing atmosphere of a day spa with medical-grade cosmetic treatments performed by licensed medical professionals, such as physicians, nurses, or physician assistants. 'These services are supervised by a physician' and go beyond traditional spa services by utilizing advanced technology for a range of non-surgical aesthetic and rejuvenation procedures like laser treatments, chemical peels, and injectables. So my first question/concern/issue is that 'these services are supervised by a physician'. This is most definitely not a Med Spa that is supervised by a Physician. Emily's credentials are MSN, APRN, FNP-BC. Clearly not MD, DO, anything that would indicate Physician supervised. So, IDK? What do you think? So let's move on to that it is a 'hybrid facility that combines the relaxing atmosphere of a day spa with medical-grade cosmetic treatments'. I dare that you to go here and think that any treatment you have feels relaxing. Like wow, Emily, the owner does not give off a relaxing vibe at all. In and out in 15 - 20 minutes. Please tell me, absolutely not that. Relaxing? Definitely not. And let's move on to my last treatment. $10/unit botox special! Wow, she absolutely over injected my forehead, I had welts and had a Botox headache for 3 days. Have never had that in all the times that I have had Botox (30 years+). And the IPLs I have had are joke. It's just zap, zap, zap - I think 3 minutes? Others that I have had provided numbing cream before and gave 2 - 3 passes. I bought a 6 IPL package, did 4 - what a mistake. So I am 65, not that that matters - but for 30+ years I have been doing Botox, IPLs, Sculptra, Fillers, had a Face Lift, Eye Lift - you name it, I have done it. Am I vain? Absolutely! (just wait until you're 65, ha!) So, Emily will come back and say that I am the worst patient, that I asked a question over the phone if I could do an IPL and Botox on the same day. She will say that I was argumentative, that I yelled at here (I absolutely did not). She will say a lot of things.... but IMHO - take your time with your patients, just saying. I would also like to add that I have been in Healthcare for my entire career. 45+ years. This is not a place I would recommend or refer to friends. Clearly there are a lot of options in Reno, in town, find someone that is compassionate, understanding of your needs and takes time to give you what you need/want. Obviously you are paying out of pocket - so yeah, do your research! Now reading Emily's response, these are now my words/my response: I was never rude, I did not yell at her, I was most definitely not slurring, omg! I just asked a question on the phone. Could I do Botox and an IPL same - she responded and I booked my appointment for an IPL and Botox. That clearly did not go so well. She wants to keep on with the banter, make me look bad (why would you do that to a patient) I'm good and I know that I would never go back to her! So any of you that are in your 50s/60s as I am - I don't think Emily is the right person for you, I think she's early/mid 40s-ish?..... Look for someone that understands you, your age, takes their time with you. And this is an interesting response, right? 'Again, please stop. I have several witnesses to your belligerent phone calls where you are incredibly rude, slurring your words, and asked to no longer be a patient here. Please stop.' Oh my goodness! Please get over yourself! Yup, please provide those several witnesses, really? Honestly, who would say that? I will say the same to EMILY! You are a Healthcare Provider that is not compassionate, completely Rude, completely and truly all about you. So yeah, Please stop! Yowza! At the end of the Day, why would you want to go to a Provider that feels like they need to blast their patients? Emily is self absorbed/all about herself. So done!

This office provides a wide array of alternative health treatments at relatively reasonable rates…read more After all, what is "real health CARE" actually worth? No insurance here. We happily pay as we go because we are getting results. SIDE NOTE: I pay $777 per month for MY Hometown Health insurance which I rarely use because let's face it...it is not really HEALTH care, it is sick care. (And I would NOT be without my SICK CARE insurance, so I can hardly wait for Medicare!) But Dr. Edwards and his amazing STAFF (who have all been doing their jobs here for over 14 to over 20 years)...provide what we consider to be REAL HEALTH CARE. Yes, you can come here sick and get better. But your options for REAL HEALTH CARE do not stop after you are well. Yes this office provides treatments that promote HEALTHY AGING. Why Age poorly if we can AGE HEALTHFULLY? I'm writing this review as my husband is having one of the most amazing treatments at this office. The picture of him on the EECP bed is below. Please watch the videos about EECP on YouTube and research EECP online if you are interested. And pick up the book that explains it all in detail. My wonderful husband is almost 83 and has a pacemaker and 2 stents. But he does not have angina which is why Medicare will not pay for him to have (otherwise Medicare approved and paid for) EECP. So he is having his treatments here. The results? His oxygen levels are now NORMALHis memory is almost back to normal already! His energy levels are GREAT! He is also having IV Chelation to further improve his circulation which also helps memory as well as heart stuff! I've included a picture of the room full of comfortable recliners that is the Chelation Room. It is often full! Today is a snow day so it's empty! I have spinal and joint pain that Dr. Edwards is treating with ProloZone injections. And yes I am much BETTER also! They do much much more here. We highly recommend Dr Edwards because there is much more that can be done to STAY HEALTHY AND AGE WELL...that Sick Care Insurance simply cannot provide you. After a few visits we could tell that Dr. Edwards really LOVES helping people get better and stay healthy...and yes...he has some UNUSUAL and EFFECTIVE approaches! Come with an open mind. This is not a normal Doctors office! We love it here not only because the staff are wonderful to us by also because we are HEALTHIER THAN EVER!
