They're always very nice and open to answer questions if you would like to know if your insurance is accepted or what your co-pay might be. Everything is fast and easy but thorough. I arrived at 3:05 pm for the 3:15 pm appointment. I waited until 4:00 pm before being called by the intake person to check my eyes. That's 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment! I waited another 15 minutes to see the doctor. The place is a zoo with everyone waiting in the lobby to be seen. The doctor is great, but the wait is so very unacceptable. BEWARE Nevada Eye Physicians on Wigwam I DO NOT recommend doing business with this company. At my annual eye exam, the doctor said the cataract on my left eye is ready to be removed. I made an appointment with the surgeon to remove the cataract. The surgeon examined my eyes and said the cataract was not ready. He suggested getting eyeglasses until my cataract was ready to be removed. Unfortunately, I purchased a pair of glasses from Nevada Eye Physicians optical department. When I received the glasses, I put them on I could not see anything. The tech said her computer was down, she's unable to check the prescription. She said I will need to come back next week. I returned to the office on Monday. A young man in the optical department checked my glasses against the prescription. He said the glasses matched the prescription. He recommended wearing the glasses for a while to get use to them. I tried wearing the glasses I could not see with. Of course it did not help. Once again, I returned to the office to be told I needed to make another appointment for another eye exam. This is my fifth time returning to the office for these glasses. After another eye examination, the doctor gave me a new prescription which resulted in an additional $220 to correct my lenses. I said I do not want to pay any more money for these glasses. I just want to return them. The tech that sold me the glasses said they have strict NO RETURN POLICY. She showed me where I signed the form. Today they gave me these three unacceptable choices. 1) I keep the glasses although I cannot see anything with them. 2) Change my glasses for distance only (I bought and need bifocals) 3) Pay an additional $220 to change the lens to a "Slab Off" (I would not have purchased the glasses if I had the correct prescription and price to start with. The optometrist was 45 minutes late for the 3rd time. He is never in the Clinic before 9:45 am. This happened 3 times and my hubby twice. An employee came and told us the doctor was running late. Once he got to to the Clinic he spent 5 minutes "examining " my eyes. He told me that nothing had changed with my eyes despite numerous complaints I had about my vision. Having moved to the Las Vegas area I felt it was time to look for a local provider for my annual eye exam and prescription update. Not sure how NEP compares to other providers in LV, but they are not up to the standards that I was used to when living in the Midwest. I'm used to having some tweaks to my prescription but my initial visit resulted in a major shift and after ordering my glasses I couldn't see clearly at all. I ended up going back three times to get the order adjusted and modified. I had three different results from three different techs. I did not feel that any of the three did a thorough job of evaluating my vision. Finally Dr. Chinichian spent the time to really fine tune my test and get the numbers right. Have to conclude that I am not impressed with this organization. Like the doc well. Don't like the techs or the results. read more

Lady here with her son freaking out because her younger daughter needs to be picked up from bus stop soon she has to leave without her son being seen. The stinger.. you DO NOT get a pair of trial contacts at the "fitting" so.. why not? No answer from the optometrist. "We don't do that" I wouldn't recommended this office for contact wearers.. we are always at the final stage of the contacts we have and WE ALWAYS WANT A TRIAL PAIR! -10 Absolutely not reasonable place will never ever ever go back! They confirmed insurance prior to appointment, I confirmed with insurance on my end. Everything was ok - nothing stood out, it was meh. But then.. got bills and they charged me $700 for one child and $750 for the other. Livid Talked to them and even though they still say they took/take my insurance it was run through the wrong one. They even said ya idk why it wasn't run through, we take it, but oh well it's in collections now Now that it's been sent to collections there's another $80 charge each. To this day they still have not actually sent it through right insurance. ( $5 copay), they said bc it was a "Dr" the charges. I NEVER would have agreed to those insane prices when I can go to another place for less than $100. They came up will all kinds of other excuses like; well you did have ultrasound, basic exam was $465, sensorimotor was $200. I told them time and time - I asked for an basic eye exam covered by my insurance. It was a regular ol exam to my knowledge. THEY decided to do all the extra and NEVER told me the charges were absolutely insane! RIP OFFS!!! Stay away for sure! read more

My 12 year old was having vision problems, took her to her pediatrician who then said to go to an optometrist to get her eyes checked. I call the insurance and they recommended this place, I called them and said because of the emergency of it that they would squeeze her in. We got there at 1pm. Sat there till about 3pm and finally got called back. The waiting was not a problem. The problem was that they charged me $50.00 to be seen... perfect. But then after my daughters eye exam they tell me she doesn't need glasses, but they still gave her a prescription and then charged me another $50.00 for THE PRESCRIPTION!! I asked why and she said that my insurance didn't cover the prescription. $50.00 for a piece of paper. Then she tell me that the Doctor wants to see her again in a month. Extremely unhappy with Nevada eye had taken over Marietta Nelson practice. I had eye surgery with Dr. Nelson she did a awesome surgery on my one eye, I need one eye corrected.i went into this practice to see Dr. Nelson, I find out through the Medical Assistant Dr. Nelson is retiring. I have My consultation on my eye she does the test and asks when I want surgery. I said before you leave she said ok lets do it. Great. I have to come back to see surgery scheduler ok 2 weeks later appt For surgery No I Was told oh you will have to make another consultation appt for Dr. Warner. In August??? I was told by the Dr. I was coming to get a surgery date? Now you wasted my time. and want my insurance company and me to pay for a 2nd consult and delay my surgery until August.Due to unorganization of retiring physician and new incoming physician, I only came to your practice because Dr. Nelson had joined you. I can say the surgery scheduler was kind, the front desk staff are non attentive and have no customer service skills. read more

I was referred to Dr. Chinichian, at Nevada Eye Physicians because I had not been to the eye doctor in 10 years! I had cataracts! Long story short, within two months, I had both eyes done, and I am seeing 20/20 in both eyes! All of the ladies and gentlemen at the Durango office made me feel so at ease. All very friendly and easy to talk to. They made me feel as if I was the only patient they had. Dr. Chinichian's "bedside manner" was top notch. Absolutely the worst doctors office I have ever been to. They triple book appointments. My son has had numerous appointments here and the wait time is always over 2 hours. I can understand a bit of a wait but 2-3 hours every single time we come is far too long. Avoid this practice if at all possible. April 11 I recently had my upper and lower eyelids reduced by Dr. Myint. I paid $3100 to Dr. Myint,for the lower eyes not covered by my insurance. $600 to the anesthesiologist and $1400 to Seven Hills Surgical Center. I started the process in December. Dr. Myint and I met and he said he could do all three procedures. Upper eyelid reduction, and left lower lid correction due to having bells palsy would be covered by my insurance. I was scheduled for March. Due to office incompetence the upper lid procedure was not approved by my insurance. Dr Myint and had to request a peer to peer review. My Insurance said they did not submit the pictures they took, or the field vision test. Sadly the whole thing was postponed several times. Finally the day arrives and Dr. Myint FAILS to perform lower eyelid reduction. The part I paid $5100.00 he just did not do. I called his answering service very upset, and Dr. Myint called me back after finishing surgery that day. Promised to make this right by performing the procedure in his office as a "touch up". What he meant was without an anesthesiologist, no Surgical Center, No one to monitor my extremely high blood pressure. I felt trapped. I called several people to verify this was even legal. No one at my insurance company would say it was okay, and I tried to see my PCP and could not get in. My concern was they already had my money, how else would I get this done? I felt I did not have a choice. It's not like you want to look like you just had eye surgery and then do it again. The whole point was to do this all at the same time. On Tuesday April 18 at 6:30 AM Dr Myint performed the procedure like an illegal abortion, in a backroom. It was two hours of torture that have left me unable to function normally. I put my hands in my pockets, I was covered in paper and strapped to a table. Dr Myint was repeated sticking my face over and over. It hurt so much I was squeezing my hands into a fist inside my pocket. Digging three of my fingernails into my hands causing them to bleed. Every time I would flinch he would say local, it just was not working. Over and Over for two hours. I am still a wreck. It took me two hours to drive home after that and it should have been a hour at the most. Fact was I should not have been driving at all. What kind of doctor does that to a patient???? In Dr. Myint's rush to make things right it was again all about him. Him covering up his massive screw up. What he did not know or take the time to find out was I suffer from PTSD already. The work done to my face with just a local anesthesia was so painful, cruel, and unbelievably inhumane I am now in therapy for recurrence of PTSD. On top of that what he did to my upper lids, made my field of vision worse not better. I now have to get a brow lift to fix the new problem, and sadly have to wait six months to do that. Because of removing eyelid skin, the brow lift might not work if my eyes can't close. Six months of issues seeing, driving, and reading. The extra skin gathered at the corners of my eyes itch, pull and tear. My right lower lid has a bag, extra skin just hanging out that was not there before Dr Myint did this procedure. I have curtains of extra skin draped on my eyelashes, and tucked into pleats at the corners of my eyes. Little kids stare, some ask their Mom what happen to him? I saved for a very long time to get this done. I trusted Dr Myint to do this right the first time. It seems to me there is fraud going on with billing. He basically rents the room at Seven Hills Surgery every Tuesday. Doing dozens of procedures one right after another. All that time I paid for the surgical center, and anesthesiologist went to someone else, and not my lower lids. He did not do them. They want to call it even. I am interviewing lawyers. My eyes look awful and worse now than before the before both procedures. Nice people make mistakes, and some offer to fix it as Dr. Myint has done. Honestly I just can't trust a doctor that thinks it is okay that I or anyone should experience that level of pain, and that is perfectly okay. I question what OTHER procedures he is doing in that backroom, and how is it legal for them to say you have to pay this it is the required cost of the procedure, charge me $5100.00 and then say oh you don't really need all that I can do it in my office, as just an adjustment. It's a SCAM - he is a LIAR - they are CON ARTISTS. Good doctors do not practice this way. I am filing a complaint with my Insurance company, The Nevada Board of Physicians, and I talking to a lawyer, about a medical malpractice law suit. It might end up in small claims court.
