I have seen Dr Nguyen (wynn) 1 time and follow up with Shannon 4 times now over the last few months for neck pain. Dr Nguyen was confident he could help me and that was encouraging. Now after my second radio frequency ablation I am feeling really great. My follow-ups with Shannon were very informative, she is straight to the point and she really understood where I was coming from and understood my pain more than I did. There is a bit of a weight to see Shannon sometimes and for the cortisone injections and the ablation but it was worth it. read more

When I signed in the assistant told me they called to tell my there was lapse in my insurance and I could still be seen with a cash pay ok fine. My issue is why did someone wait to the last minute to say something and couldn't call me the day before at least I could have figured out what happened. I had my primary send me to another pain mgmt doc. Incredibly unhappy. My first visit I got lost and was late and they were rude as hell. Second visit the doctor seemed disinterested in hearing me out as to what was going on. I now have an excellent pain management team and am so glad my primary care physician listened to my concerns and sent me to someone else. I am already in pain, I don't need an attitude or to be treated less than by people who are supposed to help. The only person in that office who was helpful was the medical assistant named Phoebe, that was it and I hope she finds a better job with a more caring medical office team. Severely underwhelmed! I waited an hour to get in to see Dr. Nguyen. He briefly explained options for treatments including opioids and lumbar injections. I told him no oxy and I was optimistic about the prospect of the injections help relieve the pain for up to a year although he didn't go into detail but handed me a sheet of information.. He also ordered a lumbar MRI which I couldn't get until mid May. While I was waiting I needed medication to handle the pain and he gave me 2 weeks of hydrocodine. I went in for my first injection of 3 in 2 week intervals. They hustled me into the procedure room where there were all male "nurses" put me on the table face down, pulled my pants down exposing my butt. I had opted for a local rather than be sedated as it was just needles. Dr. Nguyen hurried in and said Hi and proceeded to start sticking needles in my back all the while laughing and cutting it up with his homies! It was offputting and unprofessional, but I remember thinking it was worth it if it worked. The next morning I felt great and was optimistic. The 2nd day I woke up in more pain than before! I spoke with the surgery center and they explained "oh that was just a trial to see how you reacted to the medication". Needless to say...I had not had that explained to me and I was out of pain medication. I am the farthest thing from a pill popper and went there to find alternative pain relief in the 1st place. They told me that the Dr. wanted to see me before prescribing more meds but couldn't get an appt. for 4 days! She told me I could use something over the counter or go to Urgent Care. I think the Dr. herds patients through there like cattle...is not thorough with his explanations and always detached and in a hurry. Unprofessional and immature and I think he must have skipped "bedside manners" in med school. My recommendation is to find someone who cares that you are in pain...I am! read more

I have been going to Dr. Rainer Vogel for many years. He is a good doctor and I really like his manner, but it is not uncommon for me to sit in the waiting room for two or even three hours for my appointment time! . Although it's merely inconvenient for me, I see so many disabled people in pain, waiting in the waiting room for three hours, and I feel so bad for them. I have talked to Dr. Vogle about this several times. I suggested that he schedule less people per day. He didn't.. Then, I suggested that he use a texting system that allows you to check in and wait in the comfort of your own home until you're texted to come in. CareNow uses this system and it's fantastic. He did not want to take that advice either. I also have suggested telehealth appointments, but he doesn't want to do those either, so I am switching to a different doctor. My only conclusion is that he is greedy and inconsiderate to his patients. read more

Shannon is Great. Coming from California last year we were really stressed trying to find a good pain management facility. In California we had Kaiser and they were very good, but when we left and came to Nevada we had to find all new doctors. We had first gone to a pain management office on Eastern and found it to be dirty and the people were not very nice. We had a friend that was going to Nevada Comprehensive Pain Center so we made the appointment. After visiting with Shannon, my wife and I both found her to be compassionate and knowledgeable. She is very personable and someone who actually listens to what we had to say. We have been going to see Shannon for over a year now and she treats us the same with every visit. I saw Dr. Karno and he was AMAZING! They scheduled my next appointment with his PA who runs this office and he was awful. Tried to tell me that the things that I know are wrong with my spine due to an accident weren't true. Tried to tell me I needed carpel tunnel surgery...I do not have any carpel tunnel related problems...my issues are coming from my spine. He had an awful attitude. The front desk staff were super rude and the MA was foggy, slow to respond and honestly seemed like she was on drugs. See Dr. Karno, but do not follow up with the PA in this office. read more

Avoid this if all possible. It is a factory assembly line business. They recently raised the office visit to $500 for basically a 10 minute visit. Good luck trying to call into the office if there is a problem with your prescription after leaving the office. You will be lucky to get a response or talk to a live person. If you do they direct you to an answering machine. Last visit I saw a DO, not an MD or NP as usual. Shocked when I was told they wanted to reduce my pain medications for no good reason. So tired of hearing we are short of people to see the patients. Not my problem. My problem is the bland attitude from people there from the time you sign in until you leave. I'm 62, an ex gymnast, stuntman, performer and have had close to a dozen surgeries including total knee and hip replacements. After years of pain and aggravation, I finally feel that I'm able to function and get through my day with a smile on my face. Shannon Signorino has been my treating physician and has always taken the time to listen to my concerns, help me with solutions, and always takes time to educate me on on all procedures and alternatives. Stoping here must mean that your pain is beyond that and has certified long term stamp! Welcome aboard, let's see how we fair in the hands of these fine medical genesis. First stop and process that has to be addressed is "get me out of pain!" Then we will chat! As you walk into the medical office the lobby is so large and modern. To the right is the check in desk where two lovely employees are ready to aid the patients with all the paperwork that needs to be filled out. Be advised that the paperwork was 17 pages long and is better to have completed prior to coming to appointment; just an FYI. For your safety they will take your picture for their records to verify whom you are every visit. Bring that insurance card and drivers license every visit too. After clearing you and collecting copay you can finally take a seat in the wonderful feel of their lobby. Joy and happiness are what the lobby evokes! The paint is done in a very beautiful white with black furniture. What a great combo it makes the waiting for the doctor less fearful. Why do I feel so apprehensive? Nevada has the highest prescription abuse for opioids in the nation. Nevada's cure and management for this epidemic was pain centers. Thus why I am being referred. My primary is no longer able to keep filling my pain prescriptions without having to fill a large paper trail. It's just not worth it; his words verbatim. Here I am at NV Pain, and as I sit in the waiting room I wonder how this facility will treat me. Is this a one stop shop for pill pushing? Is better living through chemistry better? Am I better living with the pain? Great questions! Let's go get the answers. The nurse calls my name, now after answering her opening questions about the paperwork she closes the door saying that the doctor will be in soon. Then not a minute later, it opens again! The gentleman that opened the door looks like he should be at the gym. He is Dr. Rock, in Nikes and a great fitting black jogging suit. After shaking Dr. Rocks hand I feel more comfortable. We chat for awhile and he sees that I am in terrible pain. I share the motorcycle accident and images from the crash. We chat about the surgery done and my recovery. The doctor explains the long term goals of freedom from pain with the epidural as a solution. In the short term it's some nerve blocking pills and muscle relaxers. He recommended physical therapy, which I continue to go to. The best part of that first visit was the injection given to me of Tramadol! Yes, they gave me this in the office so that I was out of pain in the immediate. Still in Dr Rocks care he has continued to monitor my issues with pain. He recommended the epidural, which I opted for sedation. During this procedure I was coherent enough to know what was going on around me. The sedation felt more like a local anesthetic due to the high tolerance I have with pills. I metabolites stuff quick and have a high pain threshold. The lower L of my hips, quadrants 5 and 6, on both the left and right side are where the injection was given. Does the epidural work miracles and release one from pain? Not exactly. It normally takes three epidural injections to create the miracle. After the epidural the office monitors your progress from the procedure with a diary that you fill out on the progress of your pain. I received two follow up calls as well from Dr. Rocks nurse just checking in on me! That was a wonderful feeling to receive a call from the doctors office. The bedside manner of the staff in the office when I was being prepped for surgery was so compassionate. They comforted me with all the fear that I was having. Now two weeks later after the epidural injection, I am not completely free of pain, but their is less pressure in my hip region. I am able to bend and twist in new ways that were previously difficult. Moving closer to a pain free lifestyle movement is really returning but very slowly. Free of the cane, my prognosis looks promising! Not totally out of the woods yet, I continue physical therapy and meeting with Dr. Rock for my pain management and recovery. There is no looking back for me it's only forward. As I grab the torch I will run across the finish line and light it. My victory dance is all set. I'm just thankful I can dance again, wow! Jogging was something that I thought I could never do again. After the motorcycle accident, then the surgery and the icing on the cake my husbands death. Life was some of the darkest days in my life. Now nine months later I feel so revived and full of life. I am able to jog a little and with my returning strength and new zest for life it's up that I'm going. No turning back for this butterfly. My cocoon is gone and it's time to spread these beautiful wings and fly again! read more

Do not come here under any circumstance if you are young and suffering from debilitating, life-threatening, daily chronic pain. My boyfriend came in today, November 7th 2024, for an appointment with Dr. Dennis Nguyen and was told he is "too young to be having chronic pain". My boyfriend informed him he is not only genetically disabled (fibromyalgia, arthritis), but also suffers from CT proven back discs, saitica, chronic nausea, vomiting, and kidney stones. He needs a cane to walk, on the days he can walk at all. His pain affects every aspect of his life to the point it is the only thing he can focus on. His age has absolutely no correlation to his suffering. He has been prescribed dozens upon dozens of medicines, including narcotics, and absolutely none have touched his pain, even via IV. Dr Dennis Nguyen then prescribed him a medication he has ALREADY TRIED, and FAILED for positive results. What an incredibly unprofessional and disgusting remark to make, and complete failure to treat a patient. Anyone with chronic pain, even/especially young people deserve to be taken seriously. You are a pain specialization center, your doctors should act like it. Disgraceful. read more

First off if you're not familiar where the location is, do not trust in maps, iPhone. The address that is given to you maps will not take you to it so try to call ahead and get the instructions. I was in panic mode because I couldn't find the location and someone very nice guided me to the right place by Phone. He was very patient with me and I really appreciate that the office, let me see them, pain specialist, even though I was an hour late. Things started off really good. I liked the doctor and due to being late he didn't have time to give me trigger point injections he told me to go upfront make an appointment to see him, I went up front to make an appointment and they told me that they had to contact someone and they would call me for the injections. It seemed that they would not listen to the instructions from the doctor that verbally told me he wanted to see me back and do injections, I told them what the doctor said but insisted that I had to have someone call me for the injections. I didn't hear from them for a week and then it was 10 days. I called the office three times and left messages and no one called back. I finally realized I need to call very early in the morning so I did and I got a hold of someone, and proceeded to be on hold three times to get the correct individual to help me. It's too bad there's a lot of nice people that work there but something needs to be changed for better order, communication and the needs of the patients. My pain is so bad that I cry and I get mad and it was very discouraging that I couldn't get an appointment quickly to relieve this pain. read more

I have been a patient for almost 8 yrs and have been decreasing my pain and pain meds because I have been doing the right things and only using them when I hurt so (I only need my oxycodone when I hurt ) and I have been getting better so I was only using my pain meds as needed but that doesn't matter because if you don't hurt on your appointment date they don't care...... you better take a few before your appointment date because you are NOT allowed to not have it in your random test even though it says TAKE AS NEEDED ....NOT TAKE EVERYDAY ALL DAY SO IN CASE YOU GET A RANDOM TEST you will lose all your meds for 2 test that do not have a opioid in it SO NOW I HAVE TO FIND A NEW PAIN MANAGEMENT BECAUSE I DONT USE OPIOIDS EVERYDAY LIKE THEY WANT YOU TO HERE ... THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO GET BETTER THEY JUST WANT YOU TO TAKE THE MEDS WITH no care about your health just the paperwork and your health depends how they can put down it on paper to charge you .... So how can you ever get off these things if your forced to take them to continue getting them , that doesn't help you get off they are FORCING YOU TO TAKE MEDS WHEN THEY WANT IT NOT WHEN YOU NEED THEM read more

Okay I was with this pain center for years never had issues with my drug test to make a long story short I failed two of my drug test and they wouldn't help me figure out why something was in my system when I shouldn't have been and come to find out that it was the machine that was causing it and my primary doctor talk to the people that use the machine let them Read what they told my primary and they wanted nothing to do with it it was a reference number for them to call some person's name and they read and was like and it was very sad very very sad never had a problem with my drug test and they wanted me to find out how that specific drug got in my system which was codeine and when it was presented to them that it was a machine malfunction they wanted nothing to do with it as we're absolutely sad shouldn't even be in the business if you can't even help your patient but you automatically think they're a junkie once I fail a drug test That's exactly the way you you guys treated me that a piece of shit you don't even deserve one star read more

He is a doctor who just sits right down with you and gives you all the details about your condition in an extremely easy to understand manner. He comes across as genuinely being concerned about you. Horrible customer service. Left messages Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning. No return call. Called appointment line and informed that office is closed for weekend. When I did get a live person on Thursday, Medical Assistant was supposed to email what was injected in my knee as I had an allergic reaction. Urgent care can't do anything as they need to know what was injected. Never received email and called Thursday and left a message. When talking to Med Assistant he told me earliest appointment next Wednesday as they could do nothing unless I came in and of course they collect a copayment. Told me to go back urgent care or ER, but hey never received email with what was injected so hard for other doctor to prescribe something to alleviate the painful allergic reaction. They have no patient portal, give you no summary notes of visit, to figure out on your own. If you have health insurance go elsewhere. As far as I'm concerned, and my opinion, they are chasing insurance money. So disappointing. My guess not thrilled that they billed insurance $350, but after copay and what insurance paid they only received $82.25. Not an expert but auto insurance pays them alot closer to what they charge. Expected more from a practice with doctors trained in anesthesiology. read more

Medical assistant at the sunset location was not professional at all .. I've been a patient there since September.. due to to Covid 19 we are Doing appointments over the phone.. so they were great at calling you on time and making sure to collect your co payment of $25 before speaking with the Doctor.. I've left numerous messages for her.. I was able to speak to Her the next day briefly.. needed to get a refill on my monthly medication.. she was going to work on it And Give me a call in the afternoon.. did not hear from her by noon so I called and left another Message, no call back from her .. I called one last time @ 4:45pm before they closed for the day & the weekend.. no answer.. spoke with the call center said she left for the day and to call back on Monday.. just her lack of communication and integrity as a medical assistant and not following up With me when she said she would and she didn't i was not happy with .. read more

Went to Dr Jenabi to get injections for sciatic extreme pain. He would not touch me until I got an MRI. Act of GOD to get scheduled for MRI especially when office staff sent the referral to the wrong place and did not even ask insurance for referral until I called to see if I got approval...days later. They knew I was upset because it was taking so long and falsely checked the STAT box for my eyes. Went picked up MRI referral to take to the right place and saw they had not checked the box for STAT (like my copy showed).. I explained to the new place what they had done and they got me in the next day. Called 3 days after the dr got the results and requested to get in right away because of the extreme pain and by this time I could not walk. Dr had said he would get me right in for treatment. The office staff offered me an appt for a month later. I explained I was in extreme pain and dr said he would get me right in. They were very rude and told me to go to the ER. SO I went to the ER and back to primary to get another referral STAT. When I picked up my records from Dr Jenabi he had written that we were going to try physical therapy for a couple of months and I would see him after in 30 days.....That is not what he told me. They gave me a referral for physical therapy and it was 1 hour drive away. I declined that place because I could not sit in a car for an hour each way. His written report did not match what he had told me. I do not give a good rating on Nevada Comprehensive AT ALL! They don't care about people in pain. You can not reach anyone at the office you want to talk to. You just get transferred all over the city from the call center. It's been about 3 years now. Referred to Dr. Rock for pain management of back and knees. Saw him one time, for 10 minutes. It is a "mill" in that you go in the first time, see the actual doctor (who did not impress). Next appointment, I came on time, first appointment, to find the doctor laughing with staff in back while his patients are waiting another 20 minutes. We just rolled our eyes in disgust. Note: You don't see Rock after the fist appointment, you see a PA. A few weeks later, the pain was so bad at work I went back to Nevada Comprehensive to get a note outlining work restrictions. Saw the PA. I asked a question about some surgery on my spine that Rock very briefly mentioned during the 10 minute .. for some reason, the PA became unglued. Saying that I was told what the procedure was already... what? I saw the doctor for only 10 minutes the first time. There is much more to say, but I left crying. read more
