Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort - Margaritaville Restaurant

Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort

(1.1k reviews)

We had an absolute blast at this resort! We traveled as a family of three - husband, wife and…read moredaughter (8) The resort is located right on the beach unlike others that are across the street or require walking. It's also situated right on the boardwalk so you can easily take a nice walk in the morning, grab a quick scoop of ice cream (like 10 spots to choose from), shop for souvenirs or shirts and grab a quick diner. This made our stay super convenient because everything we needed was there! Most of the restaurants on the boardwalk are more fast casual with lots of Italian options. This worked well for our family because 2/3 of us are vegetarian. We did find a really nice upscale restaurant called GG's waterfront and it was only a two block walk from our hotel so not Ubers were needed. This made our trip to be honest. We love high end restaurants with fresh/quality food and this check every box. It's also situated for the most incredible sunset. So make sure you go. As for food the rest of the trip - for breakfast we just grabbed a Sammy from the coffee shop inside the hotel and they had some good options. Breakfast Sammie's, burritos (pre made but they warm them), fruit bowls, yogurt bowls, you name it. Then for lunch we always ate at the pool an really looked forward to it. This friend shrimp was outta this world and it's served with honey mustard which was so yummy. Prolly some of the best fried shrimp I've ever eaten at a pool. The we always got the cedar salad which was refreshing and we all split it. The only thing I wish they had more of was a nice guac - I'm talking with nice additions and super fresh / tasty. Then for diner we ate at the resort two nights - once on the upper desk restaurant overlooking the love music so we could hear it but not be in the action. The weekend nights are a little rowdy for our daughter. We were able to watch some sports on the outdoor tvs, listen to live music, watch the FlowRider and eat. The food was not great to be honest but the ambiance was incredible. Then one night we ate at the steakhouse at the property. Service was weird just felt awkward lol. But the food was good. The deviled eggs were top notch and some of the deserts. For drinks we always grabbed a South Sode gin drink from the coffee shop. If you like gin then it's a must. And at the pool our daughter lived on strawberry daiquiris (virgin) and we drank 1 pina colada (so much sugar) a day and then switched to mojitos (less sugar). We loved all the pool servers but they could prolly double the service at the pool bc people were kind of always waiting. Cabanas - we got a cabanas two of the days and it was incredible. It includes credit towards food and if you get one with a working tv you can watch tv. The NCAA tournaments were on so we got the cabanas two of the days we wanted access to the to each the games. It was also nice to have space and shade to relax. Treat yourself once day and grab one. FlowRider - WTF this was so cool! We're new to this and it was so fun for older kids. Our daughter was (8) did it two days and loved it. The instructors are so kind and helpful to those trying to learn. One of the trainers is in the top ten of all FlowRiders in the US. I did see some adults doing it but with a bad back we didn't want to risk it. The rooms were nice and cozy. We had one king and then ordered a pull away for our daughter. We do wish that they had more rooms with additional beds for the kids. Even the suites didn't include more beds. We prefer two kings, or king and a pull out and last resort would be two queens. I think they could def make the rooms better suitable for families. Construction - this was the only frustrating part to the end of our vacation. The last two days ( during spring break ) they were door construction right by the main pool and it was so loud that one of the days we had to leave the pool. Just seems like a really weird time to do construction The other negative was the main pool didn't have entertainment any of the days we were there (Saturday (night) - Thursday). It would have been nice to have some trivia, live music, or something. Also, for anyone else wondering if Margaritaville is child friendly it certainly is. They have a dedicated pool for kids with a small water slide, waterfall and activities. However, our daughter didn't want to hang out in the "baby pool" so we stayed at the main pool which had older kids and some other smaller kids. I'd say a majority of the people at the main pool were older kids and adults. Overall we would certainly come back to this hotel as we really enjoyed our stay!

Worst customer service experience I have had with a hotel/resort reservation…read more I made an honest mistake when booking my room and realized the issue before my stay. I contacted Margaritaville a full week before the reservation, but they refused to refund the room charge or work with me in any reasonable way. What makes it worse is that they are keeping my money for the room even though there is still time for them to rebook it to another guest. That means they can potentially collect payment from me and then collect again from someone else for the same room. As a customer, that feels completely unfair and shows very poor customer service. I understand that policies exist, but good companies also know how to take care of customers when an honest mistake happens. Based on this experience, I would not recommend booking here. If a company is not willing to work with customers says a lot about their customer service representation. Even worse when you ask for a manager you get hung up on.

Hollywood Beach Marriott - When I arrived, one of these bottles was off the wall. I called for maintenance. Then two of them were off the wall. Hmm.

The lobby felt small- there was a conference on one side of the main floor and a small lobby, seating area, check in desk and gift shop. The other side was the Latitudes Restaurant and outdoor bar. The hotel is dated, in need of renovations. Especially the bathroom. Cracked tiles in the shower, plus grout stains & the shower floor was very slippery. The views were great- we had an ocean view. This hotel does a good job controlling humidity inside the hotel- which I really wanted to note since most Florida hotels, especially close to the water, have a mildew scent and feel moist. It was dreary and rainy during our stay- but we did get to walk the boardwalk and beach a little in between rain breaks.

Complimentary Champaign toast during certain hours and complimentary beach chairs. Staff was all friendly and check in easy.. valet was super nice and very quick. Partial ocean view room upgrade was perfect and did not disappoint. We didn't try the restaurant as we had some epic places close to here in scope but the beach bar came through. I feel like this was a 4.5 with some updates needed. Pool area could use some love imo.

It's a great hotel that just does not disappoint. Amazing beach and pool , beautiful rooms and fantastic caring staff . This year we took our 5 year old Grandson . We all had a blast ! Big shout out to Jessica at the kids camp for her kind way and attention she gave to Eli . My wife also wanted me to mention Audry the bartender who she enjoyed interacting with during our stay . The past couple of years we have close family friends visit us poolside for the day . She turned to me this year and said " you know the staff here is really great " . Someone had taken the time to find her whole milk for her baby which was very appreciated! I am so not one to go to the same places . However annual trip to the Diplomat has become an exception. Hope to return annually for many years to come .

We just arrived at The Diplomat Beach Resort and unfortunately, this has not been the experience we…read moreexpected, especially as returning guests. Prior to arrival, we confirmed through Hilton chat that our room would be oceanfront. At check-in, we again confirmed oceanfront, specifically facing east toward the ocean. What we were given is a north-facing room that is clearly not oceanfront. The response from the front desk was a simple "we apologize for the inconvenience," with no meaningful attempt to correct the issue. We understand the property is currently going through a rebranding, and it shows. The communication feels inconsistent, and it would not be surprising if some of the staff are temporary or not fully trained yet. To make matters worse, the shower in our room does not drain properly. SHOCKER We've stayed here before and specifically chose to come back because of that experience, which makes this even more disappointing. At this point, we're hoping the pool and beach experience can turn things around, because right now this stay is falling far below expectations. We're giving it another day, but if things don't improve quickly, this will end up being a very underwhelming return visit. Update: It somehow got worse. We went to dinner at Playa at The Diplomat Beach Resort Hollywood and sat for about 25 minutes before anyone even took our order. After that, we waited over 50 minutes with no food, no updates, nothing. A manager eventually came over and asked what we were waiting on, only to realize our order had never even been entered by the server. Meanwhile, tables around us that were seated after us had already been served, which is when we realized something was clearly wrong. To their credit, they comped the meal, but the overall response felt indifferent and unbothered. That seems to be the consistent theme here, a lack of urgency, ownership, or care. At this point, this doesn't feel like an isolated issue, it feels like a systemic breakdown in service. Between the room issues and now this experience, it's hard to ignore the direction things seem to be heading. We've stayed here before and had a completely different experience, which makes this even more surprising. If this is the new standard during the rebranding, there are some serious operational gaps that need to be addressed quickly.

The hotel is well staffed with someone always available to greet you and take care of any questions. We arrived before check in and they were already able to get us into a room which was such a win after an early morning flight down. The rooms are amazing with a separate sitting area and bedroom area. The wall between has a swivel tv stand, so you can spin it a full 180 around to watch in bed. The bathroom has a huge shower with easy entry and a bench in the back. We didn't use much of the kitchenette, but a full fridge, countertop stove, dishwasher, and microwave would make this a great place to stay! The breakfast is included with lots of hot foods and plenty of pastries and fruit. Unfortunately for our stay, they were having maintenance issues with the close elevator broken down and a horrid smell coming from the hallway in between. The biggest perk though is the proximity to Dania Point. We walked over a few times to enjoy the local restaurants and shopping!

The airport was hectic, so we kept an eye out for the SpringHill Suites shuttle van and sign and found it easily. Check-in was fast and smooth. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even provided us with a welcome bag and water thanks to our Marriott status. I also asked for a recommendation for local Caribbean food and she absolutely nailed it! We stayed in a one-bedroom suite with two beds. The room was spacious with a comfortable couch, kitchenette, and desk area. It's a little dated, but honestly totally acceptable for a beach town. The beds were comfy, pillows were plush, and the AC was on point. The bathroom mirror was also fantastic for doing makeup. The hot breakfast in the morning was just what we needed before heading out, and when we realized we forgot a toothbrush they kindly provided one right away. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again because of the friendly staff, great lobby vibe, spacious rooms, and overall convenience. The only downside was the pool closing at 8pm. It would have been nice to at least sit and relax back there later in the evening.

Breakfast is offered in the morning for a charge, but you get a credit towards food if you are a Hilton member with certain levels of status. Be sure to check your hotel folio. Our food credit wasn't initially applied and we had to call to get it applied for a refund after our stay. There is a cruise port shuttle that leaves at two times from the hotel. They charge $20 per person cash. This is a convenient, but time consuming option. The shuttle stops to pick up additional passengers at the Springhill Suites across the street and then will stop at every cruise ship at the port to drop off passengers. Unfortunately our cruise ship with Disney Cruise Line was the last stop. We weren't worried about being late, but we were on the shuttle for 1 hour before we were dropped off.
