The PA, Elisha Locke at my Pain Management Center referred me here. I've only been a patient for a…read moreyear. It's been quite the year. To say this man saved my life would be an understatement. No one should HAVE to go to a neurologist. But, for those like me, where it's medically a necessity, this is the man to see. I'll admit, I'm a snob when it comes to medicine. It's a field I've dedicated my career and it's a field I take serious. I only choose those who are superior in their field. Not only does Dr. Kao know a lot about a lot of things, not only is he a researcher who is abreast of all the new therapies, not only does he have a compassionate bedside manner and talk to you, he's just a nice kind man all around. He's a genuine man, who even visits you bedside in the hospital, he guides your care, and is aggressive and thorough with treatment. He doesn't half any thing. He gives you his all. He even does the nerve conduction test (EMG) himself to ensure accuracy. When I was first told to come to him, I bubble snotty begged him to help me not get to the extreme. His response, "I won't. We'll do this together". His staff is great. Molly, the head nurse? Love, Love. I'm a busy person and she is diligent with the Follow-up. She ensures you don't skip through the crack regardless how busy you get. The front desk staff?? Love again. They even have an app to communicate your health status. I honestly don't want to recommend anyone to come to him. I've very possessive about him and honestly want to keep him to myself. He's literally the best kept secret. But, if you do need a neurologist, I MIGHT let you borrow mine. I MIGHT... no promises.

Earlier this year in January of 2020 I woke up with the most debilitating pain in my head. I…read morethought it may be a migraine because of the symptoms I endured (headache, sensitivity to light and sound, etc.) It was at the point that I went to the ER twice in one week. I had no relief and was distraught and hopeless. After a week of pain, I knew a migraine would not last this long and my primary doctor referred me to Dr.G. From the moment I walked in the door at the Center for Brain & Neuro Care I was greeted with joy and felt hopeful. After doctors saying over and over again it is a migraine and would go away, Dr. G actually listened and asked the right questions. She recognized symptoms that other doctors had not considered, and on the spot predicted my diagnosis before any of the scans/procedures revealed information. I had what is known as a spinal headache as a result of a spontaneous CSF leak that occurred while lifting weights. Dr. G recognized the symptoms such as : pain increased while sitting up, pain between shoulder blades, vertigo, and tinnitus. Within minutes of meeting Dr.G, I knew I could trust her and I finally felt heard. Dr. G genuinely cares about her patience and I was able to build relationships with her and her staff that gave me the hope and encouragement I needed to get better. Due to the rarity/severity of my condition, it has been a long road to full recovery. However, here I am 8 months later feeling 100% back to normal. I continue to feel the support and love from the staff and will miss getting to see them on a monthly basis. Thank you Dr. G, Michael, Jessica, and Courtney for all you have done for me. You guys have made such an impact on my life and I am grateful, and certain, I would not have gotten through it without you!

It pains me to write a bad review for any person but I hope to save other people $100.. The last…read moretime I was there, Dr. G gave me two appointments for tests. I said I don't have my calendar, I don't want to do this and she said oh you can just cancel if you can't come. Ha. I did have to cancel. If you listen to her recording, there is no option to cancel an appointment. She also has no follow up to remind you or ask you if you're coming like every other doctor I've ever gone to. I called and left a message that I could not make both appointments. On the date of the first one I get a call from the office saying where are you? I explained that I called and Dr. G herself got on the phone and said you are going to pay $100 for missing this! She also said 16 other people have called and said they left messages! Hello, does it possibly occur to her that her own lack of clarity is the problem 16 times over. All these could've been easily prevented.
