They were so awesome! We're visiting from Maine in February and my husband's computer wouldn't work. The young man was so helpful and fixed everything so quickly! He also offered advice on backing on passwords, etc. I then mentioned my iPhone wasn't making sounds with texts or maps and he just fixed it for free in about 15 seconds! Let me start by saying that Network Monkeys has done a great job of fixing my PC laptop and they were courteous and personable. I would absolutely return to them and would recommend them to others. That said, I had a very negative experience there today that would not have happened were there certain protocols in place. I walked in behind another customer. I was returning to the store simply to pick up my computer on a N/C repair, so I should have been in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. The customer in front of me had a rather involved issue with her laptop. The employee that helped her proceeded to take her computer apart at the counter. While he was certainly aware of me standing there (and standing there...), he did not summon another employee to help me nor did he ask why I was there to see if maybe I just needed something simple and quick. In the meantime, another customer came in, an older gentleman. At this point, a second employee came out from the back. While I clearly should have been next in line, the older gentleman immediately walked up to the second employee and took my place. I suppose I should have asserted myself and told both the employee and the customer that I was next, but I didn't. The second employee never asked who was next and the first employee did not bring it to the attention of the second employee that I had been waiting for nearly 10 minutes. The older gentleman proceeded to completely monopolize the second employees time, asking question after question about a refurbished laptop. Now this is just conjecture on my part, but since he was simply there to pick up his computer after an update, he appeared to be just killing time and monopolizing the second employees' time while doing so. I continually received apologetic looks and a mouthed apology from the second employee, but there was never any effort to break away from the older gentleman to help me. The second employee knew why I was there, as this was the employee who called to tell me my computer as ready for pickup. At this point, yet another customer walked into the store. A third employee then emerged from the back. And once, again, never asked who was next in line to be helped, nor did the other two employees on the floor volunteer that information. So, he started to help the customer who had just walked in. So, I had to take it upon myself to interrupt the third employee and the customer to tell them that one customer had already taken my turn and I was not going to let another one. So, after close to 20 minutes of waiting to be helped on a 2-minute transaction, I finally got my computer back and was able to go home. Needless to say, frustrated doesn't begin to cover it. All of this could have been avoided if: 1. The employees communicated with each other regarding who was next in line and 2. The employees asked the customers who was next instead of just going over to whomever is physically closer to them. Some protocols really need to be implemented so this type of event doesn't occur again. read more

Poor work. Computer brought in twice due to not connecting to internet. Had a friend over at Thanksgiving as the problem was still not resolved. He fixed it so I called to let them know. Sophia (supposed manager) talked her computerize and I will not return or recommend. Also computer ran slower the 3 or 4 days it did work. Now works great. No wonder they call themselves MONKEYS. As far as I am concerned they are a bunch of Monkeys they cant fix computers .. read more

I'm not really tech savvy. Our desk top died on us and I took it here. Definitely a good move. It only need a new power supply. However the techs checked out the operating system and basically gave it a tune up for free. Thanks for the extra effort. read more

I can write pages and pages of reasons NEVER to take your Apple computer there but here are just a few: I was told my computer will be fixed in 2 days, it took them 35 days. I left it there on Wednesday got a call on Friday to tell me that I can come and pick it up first thing Monday, I drove 2 hours to pick it up to be told that the computer is not fixed and "we thought someone called you to tell you"!!! I got the computer one month later. I was told initially the bill will be around $350, with me paying for HD (since I needed the data I lost) but they ended up replacing the HD in warranty (I was supposed to pay $169 for HD) but my bill ended up still $350!! I told them that is too much and they ended up charging $299. That was still more than I was inititally told. I was constantly lied to by getting a call on "we are copying your files and finishing up" to get a call two days later "I am having trouble installing the system". Some parts were replaced and I turned the computer on in the store to see if all look right. Little did I know that I should have spent all day there checking things, because when I got home I learned that apps are constantly crashing (not the case before it broke down) and that my internal mic is not working. Yup, I can't use Skype of any of the apps that need voice, so now I have to take it to be fixed again! Simply, do not use their service, take your computer to the APple store even if it is too far away. read more

There hours and lack of communication with the customer occasionally hinder their performance, but they almost always know what the issue is when it comes to your computer as well as how to fix it and how much it will cost. read more

I have taken my iMac here for a few different reasons and I have always ALWAYS been pleased with the turn around, service provided and the customer service. I've been using these guys for a while - back when they were still downtown and I will continue to do so thanks to such great service. Thanks to all you monkeys!!! read more

I find that the service to be top notch. these folks are very knowledgeable, friendly and fair. I would certainly use them again if needed. read more

There may be great computer savvy here, but respect for the customer is way below par. I wanted to regain access to a security feature that they removed on their own initiative, and I was told I would have to pay $20. When I replied that I had been told when I dropped the laptop off that it was under warranty, Steve came out and told me to get out of his shop. When I tried to discuss the situation with him, he told me he didn't want to hear from me and to just get out. He was rude and unwilling to dialogue! It was the most disgraceful behavior from a business employee toward a customer that I have ever received or heard of. I would urge you to be extremely cautious not to cross these guys. I do much of my computer work myself having built it from scratch. When I get confounded I go to the Monkeys. Technology can feel a bit intimidating but these folks can easily handle your issues. Courteous, respectful, they are exactly how business should be done. My first experience with them was many years ago and they showed me all I needed was some free software to keep "malware" (bad stuff) off my computer and charged me zippo. That told me immediately these are decent, honest people and they had a lifetime customer. The only way I would not use the Network Monkeys would be if I moved. Took in my computer for a minor keyboard repair, no other problems!! They completed diagnostics, confirmed a few keys on the top row were not working. While replacing the keyboard they ruined the computer beyond repair. They completely fried the MOBO! Then had the nerve to say that is common. Picked up the computer, paid for services, and they said NOTHING about the damages. Took it back immediately when it would not turn on and then they mention the MOBO problem. Tried to resolve issue with Steve by phone and he hangs up on me. Went to see Steve in person and he is "not there". Supposed he is the owner?? read more

This review is for Mac users. I don't know how well they repair PC's, but they don't know how to repair iMacs. They had my Mac for 2 weeks and finally told me that a certain piece of software was preventing them from running tests. That is ridiculous! Tests should be run the first couple of days, not 2 weeks later. So I will bring my iMac home, uninstall the suspect software (I gave them permission to delete it, but they refused), and then take it to the Apple store in Savannah to have it properly repaired. read more

My wife spilled water in her laptop. Keyboard ceased to work but the computer still functioned using on screen keyboard. Brought it to Network Monkeys for evaluation to replace keyboard and got charged $20 and told there was brown goo on the mother board. Not worth fixing. I bought a new keyboard for $20 and wiped out a couple of tiny brown spot with alcohol which were not on the motherboard. After going online to find out how to replace the keyboard, it took me not more than 10 minutes to clean and replace the keyboard and all is fixed. We are not at all happy with this company. My wife called to complain and was told the computer will only last a year??????? How do they know that when they couldn't or didn't want to fix it? Cannot recommend this company, not sure what their game is. read more
