John Cloud diagnosed a failed memory stick (oh no! they cost so much now!). I supplied an "extra" memory stick from one of the other computers at our church and John continued the repair diagnosing and fixing some particularly nasty software errors that had resulted from the initial hardware failure. All of our installed software now works reliably again! Great job! The machine was back in service on March 5 for a very reasonable repair cost! Unlike, what I read in a review below, these guys were "quick." I did have a solid idea of what design concept I wanted for the site with our very specific needs in an easy to use document. (I encourage anyone redoing a website to do this - otherwise there is tons of time wasted on back and forth.) Space Chimp provided a good designer/developer that knew wordpress well and was very fast in his development. Anything that he did not know how to do he let me know. Communication was good from start to finish. Our site is spiabroad (com) if you want to see the work they did for my company SPI High School Study Abroad programs. They finished our site redesign in a very timely manner and have been very easy to work with since. They gave us a dedicated account manager which has been very helpful to get the periodic updates and tweaks to the site done. This past weekend our website went down due to a server hosting issue (not related to Space Chimp) and the guys came to our rescue all day long on a weekend. I was very impressed. Listen, most web people are not always the best at communication. These guys actually are. I highly recommend them for many years, but above all they simply do good work that follows all the current and up to date trends in web design and online marketing.

Nerds in a Flash arrived late on a day that I was tightly scheduled and asked for considerably more than they had originally estimated (exactly the same job/problem I had described to them)... but redeemed themselves by cheerfully solving my problem and agreeing to the original estimate. Would I hire them again? You bet, but I recommend that you have them come in on a day that you have a flexible schedule, because your own time pressures are demonstrably unimportant to them.

Problem 1: Open-ended commitment on diagnosis and repair time (Fan Replacement on the MSI estimated to take up to 2 weeks). Juan finally told us that they offer 1-day service as an option. Problem 2: Poor detail management. We had to remind Juan to return the charger for the LG. Problem 3: Shop was supposed to open at 10AM and we were told at 10:05 that he was 10-15minutes away. Problem 4: Juan was marginally polite but clearly was not customer friendly. Our Laptops' Status (owner remedies): 1. MSI FAN NOISE: MSI is still functional and sit's on a Large FAN Cooling platform and occasionally makes a bearing squeek. A check for Fan availability shows 5-14day availability (ships from China). Juan, a good customer service approach would have been to just be up front with the parts availability! 2. LG Gram BlueScreen: Using the Windows11 Restore routine after backing up personal files fixed the problem. Juan wanted several hundred dollars to do this including CPU cooling maintenance. Aren't there diagnostics routines that could be used first to confirm that overheating is actually an issue?
