I just saw on my credit card statement that $25 was added to our bill without authorization. The manager credited the amount, initially stating that the server "might have mixed up my tip with a similar check at another table." When I questioned if she checked the signed restaurant receipt, she responded that "this was not an intentional or fraudulent charge but rather a processing error during tip entry." She confirmed that tips are entered manually, and that in my case, "it appears a tip was entered in error when it should have been left at zero." How was this NOT intentional since someone had to manually add the tip? Isn't it illegal to alter charges to a signed credit card receipt? Where are the checks and balances? Be sure to check your credit card charges!

The nice girl at the desk checked us in, and offered to call me in a few minutes to give me numbers of pizza places. I realized I was just over-tired and told her I could Google it myself. It was not the newest motel I've been in, but it was clean enough. The heat and hot water worked, and the kids and I had a good night's sleep. On my daughter's priority list, the wifi was great and she got to play Animal Jam, and my son was very happy to watch Disney Jr, and said at one point he planned to stay up all night watching (luckily he changed his mind).

For the 4 stars, I rate on the room, the hotel, hospitality and the over all atmosphere. First let me say the front desk was accommodating. The two separate clerks on both days did a great job of answering questions and helping out without getting too involved. The first night I used a yelp free coupon and it added a bonus, the clerk had no problem offering a gift and offered alternative snack when the original options were unavailable. The second night clerk was helpful when I requested a new pot of decaf. No complaints and a nice demeanor from a person with a lot to do. Then the room, it was large and I did not notice any odors. The bed was a smaller king size but it was comfortable. The TV was roughly 50", the fridge was small but the bathroom was the problem. The door left no room for me to walk in and shut without effort. I found myself needing to step beside the toilet in order to close it. There was enough room, but... The sink area was plentiful and clean. But the shower had a tub surround that just didn't fit. I stood inside the tub and heard a thump as if the tub portion wasn't sitting on the tub beneath it. The shower head had water spray options but none that I liked. Still I thought the room was better than many at the price I paid. As for the rest of the hotel, the halls were well lit. The gym was modest. The pool was cool not cold, the jacuzzi was warming at about 101 and clean and once we used the jets knob on the wall, the jets were powerful and very appreciative. The morning food was meh at best, but the alternative Cracker Barrel just next store was always an option. So with the above in mind I would stay if I had to go back again. Thanks for reading.

This will be my go-to hotel for future stays…read more I'm visiting for a week for a family reunion and to see some of my best friends. As a native of Camp Hill and a former local Fire Chief, I know the area very well. This hotel is a short walk to some great restaurants or hop in the car to 50 more less than 10 minutes away. The location is centrally located within the Harrisburg-Carlisle-Hershey area. Access to major arteries is perfect, being a minute from the Pennsylvania Turnpike and US 15, with quick access to interstate 81 and 83, and the Capitol Beltway. The staff at this fairly new hotel are absolutely wonderful. I think I've talked to each of them. The free breakfast is perfect and has a nice varied selection. Omelettes, scramble, biscuits and gravy. Juices, milk, yogurt, etc. Coffee's always available. Plenty of available parking. Some days are busier than others. There are two EV Charging Stations. My third floor room had a comfortable single king bed, nice room layout with NINE USB ports and plenty of available standard plugs. The pull down blackout shades work really well. My room included a safe, iron and ironing board, microwave, small refrigerator, with small freezer area, and a KCup machine. Bring your favorite KCup flavor. The bathroom is well stocked with "Ivory" products, plenty of towels and a hair dryer. Ice machines are on floors 2 and 4 of this four story hotel. I didn't try the pool...I have one at home in Florida. ;)

Yesterday i booked a room at your Mechanicsburg Holiday inn…read more when i arrived i was told that I had inadvertently booked for yesterday and that i had been charged the entire reservation price. While it's easy to see from the few cars in the lot, this was not a full hotel on a cold Thursday in early June. I immediately booked for the appropriate Friday night, using my IHG account. then i was told that i would have to pay the full "no-show penalty" feels like a real rip-off. I also was irritated that my web search at time of booking where i was asking questions about the hotel pet policy and trying to get information about your veterans discount. those inquiries were never answered even though i was clicking the questions on your website and asking the "live assistant bots for information. None came forward, but i figured that i'd sort my questions out upon book-in. At that time i wasn't aware of my booking date mistake, so it seemed to be a reasonable solution. Your on line booking system is at best confusing which borders on deliberately tricky and fraud. Do you know that an on line address check won't get you a phone for the front desk of this particular hotel i'm very disappointed in this place! to top things off the Desk lady was nasty acting like i should be great full there were not more fines. also they charge 40$ per pet, far more than most hotels.... ugg: so pissed!!
