It was a great stress reliever, I mean let's be honest this year has been stressful. Nice place nestled in Rockville just a little past Short Pump area. Great activity for social distancing & mask are required. $35 per person and you can have between 2-7 throwers. Knife-throwing is an additional $10 if you want to try that. Booking our reservation online was quick and easy. We end up needing to push our time back and VA axe was able to accommodate with no issues. The staff members were friendly and helpful throughout our whole time there. The drinks and snacks are self service. Safe to say that we will be back again soon! We really enjoyed ourselves and the friendly competition it brought out in us all. Recommendations: closed toed shoes, comfy clothing. Pros: Great stress reliever, perfect group outing, social distancing activity. Cons: There aren't any.

Let's just tack on some supervised ax trick shots and you have the best place near Richmond. Here is the best part. You get the best trainers in the biz. I felt like we could ask any question and get pro quality instruction! The staff was sharp and on point (pardon the pun) Tip: don't go hungry, there is no food (outside of packed chips and bottled drinks) or alcohol on the premises. This should change in About 3 mths. Bar/Cafe to come. What a great spot.

I've been to Urban Air on numerous occasions:Spring break, summer vacation, birthday parties, rainy…read moredays ect. At every occasion my kids have left happy and thrilled by the adventure they have had. Compared to competitors Urban Air ranks high on my list. Here is what we love: - Play Space: there is literally something for everyone. Trampolines, dodge ball, ropes course and laser tag! -seating: there is plenty of places for parents to sit while the kids get the zoomies out. They even have comfy massage chairs (at a cost) -cleanliness: this facility is very clean and well maintained! What I disliked - The noise: it is LOUD! I highly recommend noise cancelling headphones for anyone that is sensitive to sound. My ears physically hurt when I'm here so I always have headphones! -the check in process: it's cashless and done via kiosks. Regardless of the amount of times I've been here the kiosk never remembers my info and I always have to re enter it. -jump socks: you must have Urban Air socks to jump here! No exceptions. They will only honor socks with their branded logo. If you don't have them you have to buy them.

I stood on the line for close to 20 minutes when I finally get up there, the cashier says I need to complete the waiver. I did have the waiver done before I arrived, but on their end my children's names didn't populate so the cashier says I need to stand on a different (long) line, complete the waiver again then get back on another long line to return to get to get wrist bands and socks. I expressed I didn't want to get back on the long line after standing there already. She looked at me with attitude and didn't even acknowledge what I was saying. This is when I'd normally leave a business but my kids were eager to participate. So I went on both long lines again just for admissions. Once inside tables were very dirty if empty. I went to the concession stand asked for spray to clean myself. The staff told me I needed to wait because he was making orders. I waited then I finally saw a janitor staff. He was actually very kind and helped me right away. (That's why I'm giving an extra star). Later my kids wanted to play the arcade games. I didn't realize the kiosk was on the arcade floor but I asked 4 different staff members where I can purchase the arcade card. None of them knew. They finally asked a supervisor and he directed me. Pros: spacious, they can host parties, food on site, zip line, different experience than most activity spaces in the area, custom packages with tier leveled access Cons: price not worth experience, socks which are mandatory are an extra expense, staff not well trained yet I think they will probably improve once they're established a bit longer, but for now it seems like they weren't prepared to open despite there being so many employees. I'll try again and I'll update my review.

It's located in the mall so plenty of parking. The staff helping with set up and intros were nice an made things easy. For this room we started handcuffed so it took a little longer than normal to get set up. No spoilers obviously but these rooms were very intricate. We needed a lot of nudges and some extra help but we luckily got out. Lots of interesting puzzles and locks here. We were very big fans and would love to try the rest of the rooms!

My husband and I did the Dr. Ensaine and the Bank Heist escape rooms. We did Dr. Ensaine first, which is level medium for difficulty. This one we thought was harder, especially since some of the writing on the objects was pretty worn down so it was hard to read it. I also wasn't sure how you were supposed to connect a couple things without a hint or nudge. This was has a creepy undertone to it but nothing pops out or no one comes out at you, which I was waiting for so that also through me off. The location of this escape room is also in the middle of the others so you could hear other people well which was distracting. We were able to finish even though our 60 mins was up and we finished 3 mins over. Princess was our game host for this one. We came back the next day to do the Bank Heist which was rated 2nd hardest escape room they had. My husband and I loved this one a lot more and we actually made it out with 8 min 47 sec left to spare! This one was more up our alley I think with the types of puzzles and def wasn't scary at all. They used all different types of challenges that we hadn't seen before in other escape rooms. We definitely loved the Bank Heist more, but both were good overall! We had a couple different game hosts here. For 2 people it was $37.50 per person, for 3 or more it's $32 per person. Each room is private so you don't have to share with strangers. You get 3 hints per room but unlimited nudges. It was a lot of fun!
