Believe me, root canals aren't easy! Imagine snaking a .6mm clogged drain, upside down, looking through a mirror. Not to mention people are terrified of getting root canals, but the horror stories you hear are of the toothache that made you need one, not the actual procedure. Yes, we dentists are creepily noisy, it's hard holding your mouth open, etc, but the procedure was completely painless and afterwards, I had some nice hot coffee, and later some ice water, forgetting that I no longer had to contort my tongue to cover up my previously painful tooth! I smiled and said a silent thank you to Dr. Zucker and team!! Now I'm shouting it out on Yelp.

I actually didn't go to the dentist for a number of years when I was younger until I realized how important it was to take care of your teeth. So when I did make an appointment, this is a true story by the way, the hygienist who cleaned my teeth brought out a whole tray of instruments. For those of you that have seen Braveheart, that is what it looked like to me. Then she begins to file.......er sharpen her instruments while I'm laying there in the chair! First of all I'm thinking that this should have been done BEFORE I arrived. Second I had a severe feeling of a lamb there for the slaughter. Needless to say that was the last visit to that dentist. We ended up moving and now we have been seeing Dr. Dunlap for the past several years. I am here to say that this is by far and away the best experience I have ever had. I have the same hygienist (Christy) which is nice for familiarity. Christy has worked there for 15 years. There is music to listen to and its not elevator music. They even have TV's in their rooms. Woodbury Family Dentist are very accommodating as they schedule my wife and I at the same time so we can both go at the same time. Dr Dunlap has also been wonderful to work with. A couple of years ago I chipped a tooth. I called and made an appointment to have my tooth looked at. Dr Dunlap used one of those "tools" to smooth out the rough area. My appointment did not take too long and as I got up to go pay she stated that there would be no charge! I was floored by this as I would expect to pay for any service regardless of time. This to me was a great example of how Dr Dunlap and her staff care for their patients. I still don't look forward to going to the dentist however if I am going to go to any dentist, its Dr Dunlap and her staff. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a quality medical professional of any practice to see. I am thankful that we can see Dr Dunlap.

The doctor was a complete jerk and because she had to have special anesthesia was irritated that he had to apply it every 15 minutes. Why would someone want a needle jammed in their mouth every 15 mins if they didn't need it? She could have had her throat close up and died from it. He then proceeded to say at the end of the procedure that he was almost done so he didn't need to apply it again and it wore off. He then worked on her for 30 mins after the anesthesia wasn't working. It's been three months and she is still having problems with her mouth because of this unprofessional arrogant know it all. Needless to say, if you have any thing out of the ordinary then this doctor is not for you. He owns this place and thinks he's king of the endodontic world. On Friday at 5:15 PM, a nightmare scenario unfolded: my front crown and tooth completely fell out. I was incredibly shaken and embarrassed. The thought of facing the weekend with a gap in my smile was devastating. Thankfully, I called Dr. Weisbrod, and to my immense relief, he squeezed me in at 6:45 PM that same day. His willingness to help during an emergency like that was just incredible. Dr. Weisbrod was wonderful. I had a…read morelittle PTSD from a horrible experience a year and half ago, but knew my family needed their check-ups. I read reviews but still reserved judgment. After my first visit, I realized this office is the kindest, most compassionate dental office I've ever been to. Not only is everyone kind from the first second you talk to them to make an appointment, but they do excellent work (I had a cleaning, filling and crown). Super efficient, quick and practically painless! Dr. Isaacson is kind to both patients and staff which impressed me as much as his skill and artistry. Because let's face it. Fashioning crowns, polishing teeth, etc. takes a skilled hand. I also LOVE the way Dr. Isaacson THANKED his dental hygienist (Ashlee) for her excellent work. And she truly is AMAZING!
