After grabbing our clubs and color coded balls (pink, purple & teal of course!) We chose the beginner course. The best part on this 90+ degree day you ask? The beginner course was pretty shaded with covers making the heat way more bearable. Each spot had an adorable feature either beside or to golf through some were quite the challenge! We had lots of laughs and tons of fun trying to get a hole in one which by the way only one of us was able to make (all I'll say was that it wasn't me or Bob who made it!) 10 out of 10 it's a must stop on any Jekyll Island trip!

We walk in at 8:15 and they close at nine he still asked us if we wanted to play both sides for a total of 36 holes which would've kept him long after his designated time to go home. Even when we walked in at 8:59 he still made us ice cream cones and gave us time to choose our ice cream without rushing us or making us feel like we were keeping him. Many of them are dog friendly but be sure to check. During peak season it can get $$$ Driftwood beach and the pier are two of my favorite places on the island. Be sure to check out some of the restaurants that are not right in the town village part. The locals tend to avoid them and after my last couple of visits I will too. When it's not being used freely by all sorts of visitors and tourists, the park gets set up for different events throughout the year, including for Memorial Day, Fourth of July and music festivals. Enjoy the view of the Saint Simons Sound. The big widget is the recovery ship that is cutting up the Golden Ray, a car transporter that capsized a few years back. Great spot.
