Being 50 at the time that was the first time I had ever been told that. whatever you do let them talk you into going on suboxone for pain management bc next thing you know your medical record will say you have an opiate use disorder when it's a furtherest from the truth. Very uncompassionate and never felt so judged and misunderstood and unheard by any doctor's of doctors office in my lif. Funny too discharged as patient for being rude and abusive/threatening on the phone to staff not one time did I abuse or threaten or not would I ever. Never had this issue ever. Funny received this letter after an appointment with Dr Jim. Telling him that maybe I'm hard to talk to bc people don't listen or they don't understand or don't care. Also telling him or trying to explain medical issue to only be dismissed again and then I happen to say "negligence" regarding a medical issue that has been ignored for the past 16 years by everyone that has ever treated me! Very convenient like I did say once on the voicemail there "what a joke" also if service in which we pay for would get done as they tell you it will be and then never does would help "frustration" levels or "anxiety" issues when dealing with the staff!

I love the way Dr. Jim talks WITH me and not AT me, explains results of bloodwork to me and encourages me. I was close to being diabetic and if not for his direction and encouragement, I would probably be on insulin and not leading a healthy lifestyle at this point. The office staff has always returned my calls within a reasonable amount of time and worked extra hard, as has Dr. Jim, in helping to reply to insurance companies as I was working to get long term care insurance. I do not mind my debit card being on file with them so they can get their money after my insurance company has paid. I find it quite nice that I don't have to send them a check in the mail and it's taken care of right away and I am informed in an email from them that the transaction has been taken care of. I believe they have to get their money too to stay in business as does any business. I think hospitals are the same way, if you can't give them an insurance card and prove payment will be made, they can and will deny care also. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

During that entire time, he was never given fluids, never offered anything to eat, and his call light went unanswered for 10-20 minutes at a time. At one point he tried to get up to use the urinal on his own because no one responded, and he fell on the same hip he had just had replaced a few months ago. When we raised concerns about the fall and asked about getting his hip x-rayed, Physician Hayes responded with unnecessary rudeness and condescension. She looked at my dad and asked, "Sir, do you have dementia?" Not only was this disrespectful, but any provider should be aware of a patient's medical history by reviewing the chart before making comments like that. By the time we were discharged, I was furious and deeply concerned. The care my dad received was neglectful, dismissive, and ethically unacceptable. I will be contacting the patient advocate to file a formal complaint. Something needs to change before someone is seriously harmed--or worse.
