Neptune Aquatics is hidden away in a Maghull industrial estate which can make it difficult to get to especially if you haven't got a form of convenient transport. However, it is well worth the visit if you have a passion for pet fish, as this is one of the best aquariums in Liverpool. Though the aquarium is small in size, they do manage to squeeze in a decent variety of freshwater and marine fish with a separate tank furniture and equipment section that does not fail to impress. The owners are very friendly in nature and always willing to help you make the right choices whether or not you are a beginner. You can also tell that fishes and the state of tanks are well looked after. I have been going to Neptune aquatics for all of my fish products including food, accessories etc. for over a year now and would never go anywhere else now. I have also purchased many different fish species from this shop including both tropical and marine. I have never had one problem with this shop or the staff. All of my fish I have purchased have always been healthy and been well looked after. The tanks are always stocked and well maintained to a high standard as the staff have always took care of them. All fish including Tropical, Marine and Cold Water are always checked for any problems every morning & throughout the day before any fish are sold. I have even noticed when they have found any issues with fish (which can occur to anybody keeping live stock) they will not be sold to any customers until they are fully treated and the staff are certain they are cured. I have always found the staff to be more than helpful and always willing to give you the best advice. When i first started this hobby of having different types of fish I never had a clue about anything, all staff members gave me the best advice I could get about what fish, food and treatments would be best. They would never sell incompatible fish as they always ensure they provide the best care for their fish and their customers. Overall Neptune Aquatics has the best supply of Tropical, Marine & Cold Water fish I have found. The shop is always clean & the staff are the friendless I have found. They also provide plants & accessories for every tank including Live Rock & Corals for the marine tanks. Everything you need to set-up and maintain any form of tank or pond if here in this shop.
