Neni serves Israeli/Mediterranean food. I can't vouch for authenticity, but the food was delicious
We were tired from a full day of flying, almost missing our connection, missing luggage and being ripped off by the taxi driver. So, by the time we arrive at the 25Hour hotel, we were ready to call it a day.
Neni is the hotel's restaurant, so, we took the easy way out and went there to eat before turning in for an early night.
To our surprise, Neni was just what we need to revive our spirit. We ordered the following:
Aubergine from charcoal grill - eggplant for us Americans, grilled with the skin removed. A little mushy, but full of spice and charcoal flavors, delicious.
Pulpo on a stick - perfectly grilled to tenderness with Harissa and a touch of lime.
Neni Wagyu Kebab - a combination of Wagyu beef and lamb, seasoned with a variety of Mediterranean spice. Served on top of sourdough Pinsa with onion, tomatoes and Tahina sauce. Very flavorful with a balance of spice.
Chicken Shawarma - grilled marinated chicken, served on smashed potato bed with grilled onion, garlic cream and herbs. Tasty but a little on the dry side.
Service was a little slow, maybe because we were there very early. The main dining area is under a glass roof and feel airy and bright despite a rainy day. There is a more intimate area on the side with a colorful mural.
We were surprised by the ambiance and tasty food and it lifted our spirit. read more
