    Mango Habanero Margarita

What a gem! This restaurant is hidden in a neighborhood so parking is a little tough. But trust me it's worth it. We arrived on a Saturday evening at about 6 o'clock, it was very busy, but there were plenty of bar seats available so we sat at the bar. The ambience was nice, huge wall of tequila behind the bar and it just feels a tad bit more upscale than your average Mexican restaurant. First off the margaritas were absolutely amazing. The first one I had was the mango habanero. I love a good spice and this was a perfect combination of spicy and sweet. Only get this if you truly like spice. The second one was the bruja fresa, a beautiful refreshing strawberry flavor. The fiancé really approved of this one. I ordered the steak fajitas, a classic and my partner ordered the New York strip. My steak fajitas were extremely flavorful with peppers and onions, and it came with plenty of corn tortillas. The new York strip was nice, but to be honest, we were obsessed with the red potatoes that it came with! Crispy and seasoned so well! We also ordered guacamole and chips because how could I not order that at a Mexican restaurant?! Chips are definitely made in house and perfect amount of salt. This was a fantastic meal to end our Saturday night and we cannot wait to go back!

Nemi is a wonderful restaurant in port Richmond. Offering a great relaxed vibe this is a great place to go for happy hour. Great food and drink specials. I got one of their margaritas and it was delicious. I also got their mahi mahi tacos and churros. The food was delicious and the tacos had a great sauce on them. Service was great as well this will be a spot I will be going back to.

Lovely restaurant in Port Richmond. Came here with a friend and we both had margaritas and tacos and they were absolutely great. The passionfruit and hibiscus margaritas tasted great and they had plenty of other margaritas and Mexican drinks to pick from that I'm sure are to die for. We both also got the tacos, which were both light but packed with plenty of flavor. Loved the light spice in the tacos, pickled onions, and I loved the Mahi Mahi. Service was great and loved the ambiance on the inside. It was dark and it felt like a perfect place to sit at the bar and enjoy a happy hour with someone. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great neighborhood place! Best part it's only a block from my house! Nemi is in a former corner bar. The update they did makes for a casual, cool vibe. It's a little noisy. Seating is inside and outside. We had a large party and we're able to make a reservation for Happy hour. The HH here is good! Classic or spicy margaritas for $8, Sangria $7.5, beer and wine too. Tacos are 3.50/4.50 each The happy hour menu has a good variety. We tried all four tacos and all were delicious. The queso fundido and enchiladas roja were also very good.the chocolate de ledge was yummy! The staff are amazing. Water glasses were refilled without asking, empty plates removed quickly, and food came out quick.

I've been here twice and look forward to many more visits. Great beer, tequila, & cocktail selection. Best chips & salsa I've ever had. Nice amount of variety on the menu. Food is fresh and delicious--and also strikes me as healthy (i.e., NOT drenched in cheese, oil, salt, etc.).

Delicious food and cocktails. I gave it four stars as it's expensive to be considered a neighborhood restaurant. Varied menu though and well-prepared food. Bartenders are great and very helpful.

This place is a gem! Located in the Port Richmond/Fishtown area! They have the best steak tacos! You will not be disappointed! I love their Pomegranate Guacamole, very tasty. I've also tried their Eggs Benedict & it was really good. They have a variety of margaritas and cocktails to choose from, my favorite margarita is FRIDA LA CLÁSICA, it has Silver tequila, fresh lime juice, raw sugar syrup! The service is always pleasant. The restaurant is stunning. I really love the bar area and they also have outside seating for the nice weather. There's self parking but after 5PM or on the weekends I'd say it's harder to find parking due to all people that live in the neighborhood parking their vehicles.

I have never had a meal or visit here that wasn't top notch! It's consistently great every single time! Service, food and atmosphere! Always wonderful!!

Traditional Mexican dishes, with a flair! Nemi was a quick find after missing my brunch reservation at a different restaurant due to traffic. We waited 5-7 minutes for wait staff to come to our table. In their favor, it was Sunday brunch and we didn't have a reservation. The food was solid! Between my table we ordered, Huevos rancheros, guac and chips, birria tacos (off menu/daily special) and churros. The churros were my favorite part, as they were flaky, airy and made fresh to order. The cocktails were flavorful but the liquor portion felt light. The price to cup size ratio was a miss for me. Would come back for dinner service!

Ordered Nemi on DoorDash and I must say that the food was definitely satisfying! I tried their flavorful elote. Mmm! Mexican street corn is one of my favorites. I also ordered their Baja Baja shrimp tacos. I enjoyed the batter the shrimp was fried in. Also, dipped my tacos in the sauce -- so good! The Mexican food was authentic with a modern twist! I am highly impressed with Nemi and will definitely eat here again.

We were greeted as soon s we walked in by both the bartender and one of the owners. Our server brought water as soon as we sat down. She was attentive and helpful with explanations. The food here is authentic! Several different kinds of guacamole are available. We chose the one with pomegranate. It added a nice crunch and flavor. One with grasshopper was available. lol that was a no for me! The trio of empanadas were delicious. We shared a carnitas taco platter and branzino platter. The tacos were tasty. The meat in the tacos was so dry that it was hard to chew and swallow. Some of the pieces were cooked to a crisp. No amount of salsa could make them better. I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the tacos, but trust me me I get no pleasure from leaving a bad review for this place; I am not lying or exaggerating. I thought they were going to be one of our local gems. I choked down a half a taco, gave the rest to my husband and he couldn't eat them either. The churros actually had raw batter in the middle and the outside was rubbery and hard at the same time. You could barely bite through it. I'm a cook and I know that that is about keeping the oil at an even temperature to get the inside done and not overcook the outside. Someone in the kitchen did not know what they were doing. The thing is, I have had their food before and it was pretty good. I don't know if there is a new chef or what happened, but I can't trust them after this experience.

But El Rey is good in its own right, taking familiar foods and flavors, with a bit of a fancier twist, and making a good meal that I love to eat and enjoy! Seating and service here is friendly and prompt. Even when it's pretty loud and seems packed, there are always a handful of open tables available, where we've usually been able to be seated almost immediately. Such was the case this evening. We were on a bit of a time crunch so we ordered immediately and our food came out so fast that the waiter for our table was surprised as the food beat him with our napkins to the table. We ordered the Tuna Tostada and the Yucatan Spiced Chicken Fajitas. Both were amazing! Good thing for our tight timeline, the food was gone as fast as it came. The waiter helpfully recommend the house hot sauce, which was certainly spicy and a good compliment on our fajitas. Overall, a great place to dine for Mexican-inspired! Perfectly seasoned, tender, flavorful -- the kind of bite that makes you close your eyes for a second. They were so good I came back two days later just for them. That's not a craving... that's infatuation. - The Chayote Salad completely surprised me. Fresh, bright, and paired with their homemade hot sauce? My palate was awakened. I even brought it home (with dressing and hot sauce on the side) and it still hit! Speaking of heat -- if you love spicy food, ASK for their homemade hot sauce. It's bold, fiery, and addictive. Chips landed first and while both salsas were fresh, I still felt the need to add salt. (Everyone's palate is different) Food & drink arrived simultaneously.
