This little diner is tucked inside of a gas station/convenience store/bait shop. Do not let that fool you! We had a wonderful breakfast on a chilly Sunday morning. Their hours are limited to the weekend right now so make sure you plan your visit. We were greeted by friendly staff and plenty of locals stopping by to pick up bait for their fishing adventures. Our breakfast choices included donut holes, country fried steak, biscuits & gravy, and bottomless mimosas! The donuts were served warm, rolled in cinnamon and sugar! Yum! The Biscuits & Gravy was delicious! The biscuits were fluffy and topped with delicious sausage gravy. If you like a little spice, top it with the Couch Turbo Hot Sauce. It is so good and sold in their store. We picked up 4 bottles to take home! They also have a variety of coffees, lattes, and smoothies if you are looking for something a little lighter. We were very pleased with our visit and wish they were open throughout the week so we could try their lunch options! I will definitely try to stop in next time!

This iis a fairly new spot in Everglades City. A local woman highly recommended we give it a try for breakfast or lunch. We thought it was great! It has an interesting menu and nice decor inside a very clean gas station! Everyone there was a local and the server and Chef greeted them all by name. We ordered a frittata and a make your own skillet with sausage. The veggie frittata was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The sausage in my husband's skillet was delicious. They have other interesting items like pork belly and shrimp and grits. We look forward to visiting again the next time we are in the area. There are several inside tables and two small tables outside. I'm sure you could sit there with your dog as long as the weather is nice.

I've lived here a while and this was my first time trying the breakfast here. It did not disappoint, first off their donuts are made in house and come out fresh warm to order. The breakfast sandwich was so good and filling. Also the chicken and waffles was so flavorful. Definitely will be getting breakfast here at least once a month

In the area enjoying the beautiful outdoors and weather. Saw this close by and the food looked good. We decided to give it a shot. The service was awesome, the food tasted great and the prices were very reasonable. Great little spot. Highly recommend the home cut fries. The donuts were good as well.

Stopped in on a busy Sunday. They made me a custom omelette. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. I ended up getting 3 meals out of it. Staff was very professional and friendly. Spoke to me like a friend and never overstepped or got too personal. Good food ~ Good Folks. Also has a nice bait and takel shop with lots of cool clothing and local souvenirs.

Blackened grouper sandwich with fresh cut fries

My family and I made this stop at this gas station not knowing what we would now know as Nelys Corner. I wanted to stop because Everglades Fishing Company was also part of the store. As we were shopping around we noticed a small little restaurant inside and we had been exploring all morning, were a little hungry and decided to grab a bite to eat. Upon looking around we noticed a couple eating their meal and it looked good. I decided to have the blackened grouper sandwich and oh my, what a treat! It was served with thick, fresh cut fries. The sandwich was served on a fresh Kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato, red onion and a delightful dill mayo. The piece of grouper fit the sandwich very well and tasted as fresh as if I caught it that day and brought it to him to cook. After thanking the gentlemen who was running the kitchen, we come to find out that he was a fine dining chef from Naples, FL and his skills really showed. From how his kitchen was setup, the cleanliness, all the way to meal presentation. If you are ever in this area, save room for a meal here, you won't be disappointed!

The restaurant feels like a colorful, garden‑style hideaway, full of charm, warmth, and the delight of discovering a true local gem. And of course, the two resident chickens, Popcorn and Carmel, add their own quirky personality to the experience. Our server, Mimi, was excellent--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The café is tucked away along the back roads of Chokoloskee, surrounded by the kind of old‑Florida scenery that's becoming rare. The food was outstanding. We started with tostones (fried plantains with garlic), then enjoyed the pork sandwich with chips and the pork plate with rice, beans, and two perfectly cooked sweet plantains. Every bite was rich with authentic Cuban flavor. We finished with the flan, which was so good we could have easily ordered a second. With its lovely outdoor seating, light radio music floating through the air, and a staff that treats you like family, HavAnnA Café delivers an experience that feels both heartfelt and memorable. The only thing missing was a hammock--I could have taken a nap and geared up for an early dinner. The seafood stew looked especially tempting for next time. A wonderful stop in a part of Florida that still holds its original soul. And by the way, don't leave without grabbing a bottle of their hot sauce--sweet, flavorful, and just the right amount of kick!!!

The shop is located on a quiet street right next to the Forrey Grill, a restaurant we like very much. There are tables outside the shop which is delightfully welcoming. As you walk in you might wonder if you were in Alice in Wonderland! Adorably furnished with comfy couches, tables and high tops. The menu is large along with all kinds of coffees and teas. There is also ice cream and home baked goods. We sat down and our server brought me a large tall cold unsweetened ice tea with lemon. David had a mocha frappe topped with whipped cream! He also ordered the spicy bean and sausage soup. I opted for a cup of broccoli cheese soup and a chicken salad sandwich on sourdough bread. The food was super delish. The chicken salad with lettuce and tomato was one of the best I've had in a long time. Mine also came with a fresh baked macadamia nut cookie! We enjoyed our lunch and took in the lovely surroundings. What a great place for a tea party, birthday party or baby shower! We will definitely return on our next trip going to the east coast!
