There are not many options in Everglades City - Nely's Corner is probably one of your best bets for a good breakfast. The coffee is served in big mugs, the basic breakfast is good, and the shrimp with grits was good - very rich to say the least. We also tried the fresh made donut holes. Nely's Corner is on one side of a bait and tackle shop and part of a gas station in town - they have a counter top and large tables available. Very friendly service. So, when anywhere near Everglades City or even if you aren't and just want to take a fun and different trip Nellys is a place worthy of your stomach. With Shrimp and Grits and a Cuban Pork Bowl on the menu it is more than your standard eggs and bacon fair, though they have that too. Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I am an expert on breakfast and my Brisket Breakfast Burrito ( say that 5 times fast) was fantastic. This little diner is tucked inside of a gas station/convenience store/bait shop. Do not let that fool you! We had a wonderful breakfast on a chilly Sunday morning. Their hours are limited to the weekend right now so make sure you plan your visit. We were greeted by friendly staff and plenty of locals stopping by to pick up bait for their fishing adventures. Our breakfast choices included donut holes, country fried steak, biscuits & gravy, and bottomless mimosas! The donuts were served warm, rolled in cinnamon and sugar! Yum! The Biscuits & Gravy was delicious! The biscuits were fluffy and topped with delicious sausage gravy. If you like a little spice, top it with the Couch Turbo Hot Sauce. It is so good and sold in their store. We picked up 4 bottles to take home! They also have a variety of coffees, lattes, and smoothies if you are looking for something a little lighter. This iis a fairly new spot in Everglades City. A local woman highly recommended we give it a try for breakfast or lunch. We thought it was great! It has an interesting menu and nice decor inside a very clean gas station! Everyone there was a local and the server and Chef greeted them all by name. We ordered a frittata and a make your own skillet with sausage. The veggie frittata was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The sausage in my husband's skillet was delicious. They have other interesting items like pork belly and shrimp and grits. We look forward to visiting again the next time we are in the area. There are several inside tables and two small tables outside. I'm sure you could sit there with your dog as long as the weather is nice. read more

I've lived here a while and this was my first time trying the breakfast here. It did not disappoint, first off their donuts are made in house and come out fresh warm to order. Cute little diner. We were looking for a place to grab food really quick before our noon kayaking trip. We found this cute little gem. The staff was friendly. My daughter and I got smoothies and my son got a smoothie and then some regular breakfast food. We picked up some snacks at the gas station as well. They made our food quickly. Stopped in on a busy Sunday. They made me a custom omelette. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. I ended up getting 3 meals out of it. Staff was very professional and friendly. My family and I made this stop at this gas station not knowing what we would now know as Nelys Corner. I wanted to stop because Everglades Fishing Company was also part of the store. As we were shopping around we noticed a small little restaurant inside and we had been exploring all morning, were a little hungry and decided to grab a bite to eat. Upon looking around we noticed a couple eating their meal and it looked good. I decided to have the blackened grouper sandwich and oh my, what a treat! It was served with thick, fresh cut fries. The sandwich was served on a fresh Kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato, red onion and a delightful dill mayo. The piece of grouper fit the sandwich very well and tasted as fresh as if I caught it that day and brought it to him to cook. After thanking the gentlemen who was running the kitchen, we come to find out that he was a fine dining chef from Naples, FL and his skills really showed. From how his kitchen was setup, the cleanliness, all the way to meal presentation. If you are ever in this area, save room for a meal here, you won't be disappointed! read more

If you ever find yourself visiting Everglades City you have to stop by the Everglades Fishing Company(EFC) at try out this little gem located inside! Not only do they carry excellent fishing gear(EFC) but a stellar breakfast/lunch(Nely's)! It may be a little confusing to describe it but one that that isn't is the food! It's simple, made from scratch and I've yet to have a thing that was anything but excellent. The staff is extremely welcoming and give you a feeling as if your apart of their family. There were only 2 places open for breakfast in town on a Sunday morning So I picked this place. It is a smalle place that takes up about 1/3 of a gas station but it works! There is a counter with about 7 stools and about 6 tables. It was very clean and the waitresses were extremely friendly. The food was just average and I definitely found it overpriced for average especially in a gas station. One thing that I would like to note is 1 of the cooks had longish hair and had absolutely no hair net at all and did not have it tied back. This needs to be fixed. read more

This place is great for us because we don't fish but needed a place to hang! The coffee is the best and Glenna can make a mean Americano that would have any race-car driver wanting to tap their brakes! The chef makes AMAZing food! We get the burrito and the grits and everything is full of southern love! They accomodate to us since we do not eat meat and they have made some really healthy options for us along with making some super happy kids thanks to their fresh smoothies!
