I got an email about the increase to over $40 a month but there was an option to keep the current rate for 3 more months which I chose and got another email stating my membership was good for 3 more months at the old rate. Checked my bank on the next month expecting to see the old rate....NOPE...... it was at the NEW rate. I went and cancelled my membership. They were the only DECENT car washes in the Windsor area. Trust me, I have been to every single car wash from WinLox to Bloomfield. Speeders in Bloomfield is on a side street that forces you to cross Blue Hills Ave to get back into Windsor. It's dangerous. My life and vehicle aren't worth the inconvenience of the location. I have no clue where I will go to now to wash my SUV. I may go back to my trusty bucket and do it myself. Very disappointed that there are no decent, honest car washes in the Windsor area.

Make sure you have paper money because their change machine does not accept any change to give you the dollar coins. Luckily, one of the people there was willing to give me a dollar for my quarters. 4 minutes per dollar coin on the vacuums so I could only do the front seats of my car. They weren't very powerful but did (most) of the job picking up rocks, dried leaves, dirt, etc. from my mat. There was a lot of dust still left in the crevices, but like I said, not very powerful and you get what you pay for. Touchless car wash was alright - like previous reviewers mentioned, the blow dryer doesn't do too great of a job so you might want to get a towel and dry up the windows and mirrors so they don't streak or leave spots. Car is clean and it only took 15 minutes total, so not bad for a quick, cheap wash and half of an interior vacuum.

However, when I got home, I noticed that my rear license plate bracket and light were not there and there were just the wires. I returned to the car wash and the manager said I know what you are here for and gave me the broken bracket and bent plate. He said I needed to fill out a damage report and get in touch with corporate. I sent pictures and a description of what happened. Unfortunately the office didn't see it since it was in their junk mail. I waited two days to call and she did find it and asked me to include the estimate I received for fixing the light and the bracket. I received a call the next day from a Mr. John {I think his last name was Gumbo)who said it is their policy of the company not to pay damages on Jeep Wranglers that are damaged in their car wash. This past month Russell Speeders increased my monthly fee for the unlimited car washes from $29 per month to $49 per month without even notifying me. This increase showed up on my checking account statement. No warning, no phone call, no email, no mail, they just raise the rate because they thought they could. I was stunned with this poor business practice that Russell Speeders does apparently to almost every customer This business should be investigated by the State of Connecticut consumer protection immediately for their deceptive business practices. I feel bad for the employees of this establishment because they actually are very nice. Management is terrible. Upper management is possibly the worst. $29 a month to $49 a month with no warning. Never again Russell Speeders never again. I have canceled my monthly membership. There are many car wash services in the area that offer monthly rates, and I'll be checking them out shortly. I will also be disputing these charges with the bank.

A camera scans my license plate and opens the gate; then I just drive onto the smooth conveyor belt and drive out with a sparkling car. This system is so much gentler on my car than the traditional rail. Everyone I've dealt with has been ultra friendly and polite. Best of all, FREE VACS for everyone!
