Not a fan of the co-op down the road this is the best place to get produce, eggs, meat and just about most things you can think of to fill your fridge and cupboard. The upstairs even has large freezers with ice cream and baked goods, and more meat. The people are very friendly and everything is quite affordable. I am so happy to be able to support my local farmer. They'll soon be starting a delivery service as well!

We still need to get some things at a bigger store like some familiar national/international brands or particular varieties of groceries, but Radmore Farm Shop is definitely our new place to walk for fruit, veg, and meat. It's perfect for those "What are we going to have for dinner" afternoons because I can grab meat, onions, mushrooms, and whatever veg suits and cook something up fast. We are definite fans and plan to shop here routinely while we're in town.

The only downside of the farm shop is that it does not carry the same level of stock as your local butcher and consequently will not always have what you want. This is especially the case if you do not call by until later in the day. With a bit of organisation this can be easily solved by calling up and reserving the meat you would like to buy in advance. However, I am rarely that organised. Consequently, arriving at Northfield Farm always has a lucky dip feel about it for me!

From meat to chicken to pork sausages, these are some of the things you will find here. I have brought some sausages and cooked them at home. They tasted brilliant and I ended up having some hot dogs. I have also brought some chicken legs and thighs from here and used them to make a Thai Green Chicken curry. Again the chicken itself was excellent and I have no doubts I will be back. I do have to travel some way to get to Handsworth from West Bromwich but it is worth the travelling because I know I am guaranteed quality food from here.
