This is a must see during fall color season in the northland. There is a small shop near the parking area where you can find some appley snacks. Pick your own fruit or buy pre-picked, in the shop. If your keen to start your own hobby farm or pick apples off your own trees, there are trees available for purchase. The staff is very knowledgeable about tree health and they will be more than willing to help you learn the ins and outs of tree planting/health. The only thing I think can be improved is, there should be some warm drinks available for kids. It was a crisp fall day when we went, and there was only coffee to keep us warm. Coffee isn't something I want to give my boys; they already have PLENTY of energy. It would be fantastic if there was some hot apple cider and/or hot chocolate in the shop.

This brood came from Stromberg's and 6 months in we have not seen the first egg. Worse, 2 of these 6 hens developed illnesses and passed away. We take good care of our birds and quarantined them at the first sign of illness but they just went downhill. This just hasn't been a healthy brood of hens and we are disappointed. We should have stayed with Meyer Hatchery.
