The bumper car arena is incredibly small. It was included in our pass so we gave it a whirl, but I wouldn't pay money for this individually. The mini golf was engaging enough to pass time and wait for the clouds to clear to get back on the lake, plus everyone could play from the toddler up to the grandparents. Region one: Karts- this is the main region of Kart Kountry and the best by far. Although the strong gasoline smell was a bit worrisome, the karts were so dang fun! Just don't smoke or light fireworks in kart kountry or you will destroy the entire race of kart kountrians. Region 2 - mini-golf. Clearly the most neglected region of kart kountry. Random pars assigned to each hole - one was a par 6 and one was a par 2 and the only difference was the placement of the styrofoam rock in the 60-year old astroturf. Mini-golf region has seen better days. Region 3 - other stuff. Some weird basketball trampoline, an empty pool, a virtual reality pod that may or may not make you throw up, batting cages, and some other jumpy thing. Basically another collection of neglected attractions. Lower your expectations and then lower them one inch more and you will love it here!

So we didn't have too many expectations coming in, as long as it had a nice hot tub and room, we would be happy. And that is what we found here. The rooms are updated and modern and very roomy. Beds are very comfortable and offer a good night's sleep. The pool area offers a huge hot tub which made for some good lounging time, albeit you cannot have drinks of any kind in the pool area, which was somewhat of a downer. The casino was not anything to write home about. We had some free play credits to use and the machine basically ate them without functioning correctly, so that was a total bust. Oh well, I don't gamble against the house anyways. Finally, we had dinner in their restaurant. The food was not bad. I enjoyed my seafood platter, it was filling and had decent quality seafood. My wife's BBQ mac and cheese was not great, more mac than meat. All in all, it wasn't terrible and we didn't pay much out of pocket for it. Finally, there is not a lot to do outside of the casino. There is a nice state park just up the road and you have Mille Lacs for fishing excursions, but not much more than that. I called multiple times about early check-in and got a different answer each time. We did end up being able to check in early the same day, but it cost an extra $60. They also mentioned we were the only guests requesting it, which felt a bit odd. The water park was a highlight our kids had a great time. The only downside is that the water is freezing and there's a noticeable cold draft throughout the area. Our room was spacious and worked really well for our family of five. Wi-Fi was spotty, but the TVs were nice. Overall, some frustrations, but the space and water park kept the stay enjoyable for the kids.

One person might work two rides going back and forth but we never felt like things were not running smoothly. It was VERY clean and kept up. The food was good (just prepare to wait a bit). The giant Paul Bunyan at the entrance was a huge hit. Our four year old enjoyed the rides and we really liked walking around the back area of the park where the models and antiques were. We spent four hours here and thought it was well worth the admission price.
