He was content with his pizza and wings, which were reasonably priced and decent quality. I had a chicken salad, it was a deli style salad, nothing special but their house made ranch is really good! The arcade kept him happily occupied for 2 and a half hours, not bad for $40 of points. I noticed tons of groups with private dining rooms available for rent. It was packed on a Saturday afternoon. Be mindful of this if your planning a short visit- wait times can be longer at peak times. They do offer beer and wine, for you who are brave enough to indulge with dozens of children orbiting about. We got a "fun pass" which provided plenty of activities for the whole crew on a cloudy, rainy morning. The go carts were by far the universal favorite ("Awesome! So much fun!" was the 10 year old's review). It was nice that adults could drive their own car, plus kids who met a height requirement, and younger/smaller kids could ride as a passenger, so everyone was happy. The bumper car arena is incredibly small. It was included in our pass so we gave it a whirl, but I wouldn't pay money for this individually. The mini golf was engaging enough to pass time and wait for the clouds to clear to get back on the lake, plus everyone could play from the toddler up to the grandparents. Overall, a fun few hours for the whole fam here.

Region one: Karts- this is the main region of Kart Kountry and the best by far. Although the strong gasoline smell was a bit worrisome, the karts were so dang fun! Just don't smoke or light fireworks in kart kountry or you will destroy the entire race of kart kountrians. Region 2 - mini-golf. Clearly the most neglected region of kart kountry. Random pars assigned to each hole - one was a par 6 and one was a par 2 and the only difference was the placement of the styrofoam rock in the 60-year old astroturf. Mini-golf region has seen better days. Region 3 - other stuff. Some weird basketball trampoline, an empty pool, a virtual reality pod that may or may not make you throw up, batting cages, and some other jumpy thing. Basically another collection of neglected attractions. Lower your expectations and then lower them one inch more and you will love it here!

One person might work two rides going back and forth but we never felt like things were not running smoothly. It was VERY clean and kept up. The food was good (just prepare to wait a bit). The giant Paul Bunyan at the entrance was a huge hit. Our four year old enjoyed the rides and we really liked walking around the back area of the park where the models and antiques were. We spent four hours here and thought it was well worth the admission price.

I thought it was pretty good... just enough butter on it (okay, so maybe alot). They have the little seasoning station like other theatres, so you can put the ranch seasoning, etc on your popcorn. (I didn't try... but my Dad likes that stuff.) We went to the 7pm show on Oscar night, and it was pretty bare. Couple that with the snowstorm... and we were only 6 people in the theatre. Nice... Comfy chairs... and only $8.50 for a movie. Nice!! :)

I called multiple times about early check-in and got a different answer each time. We did end up being able to check in early the same day, but it cost an extra $60. They also mentioned we were the only guests requesting it, which felt a bit odd. The water park was a highlight our kids had a great time. The only downside is that the water is freezing and there's a noticeable cold draft throughout the area. Our room was spacious and worked really well for our family of five. Wi-Fi was spotty, but the TVs were nice. Overall, some frustrations, but the space and water park kept the stay enjoyable for the kids.

I stood there for 15 minutes while the front desk took a call from a "potential future booking" and discussed all things water park. I was finally acknowledged only to find out my room (a few minutes before 4pm) wasn't ready. I asked for an alternate room and she said no, we have nothing yet cleared by housekeeping. The hotel is in need of a major deep clean. The bathrooms are small and dingy, towels thin, and products terrible. Don't get me started on the thin sheets. I had another date booked at the Arrowwood Lodge for a conference in October and I promptly cancelled. There aren't many options on the Brainerd/Baxter area, but this place isn't it!

People were really nice, pool tables looked brand new, and even though the kitchen was closed for the night, the cook agreed to open it back up when a group of three patrons said they were hungry and he overheard them. I only put in review now since Covid is starting to ease up and I was planning to take another vacation to Brainerd and had to look up the name of the place. Good people, good food, friendly staff, new pool tables, what more could you ask for? I'd say for sure check this place out if you get the chance! Oh yeah and they have a ping pong table too, which was something you don't see everyday.
