I am officially obsessed with this place and I am so happy there's one near where I live! I probably came to Nekter about 5 times while in Tyler for two weeks. I found them on Yelp and figured I'd try them out! They are all so friendly! I let the person taking my order know that I was a first timer there and she recommended the healthy nut with almond butter. It is truly amazing!!! I also purchased their super protein bottle and THAT was also delicious. The prices are reasonable, the place looks fantastic and everything tastes so fresh! I kept going back for the health nut! It's a rare occasion that I go to a juice bar and this juice bar gets two thumbs up! I got the Tropical Cooler and Turmeric Shot! Both were sublime, and I feel like I could power through a marathon. My friends love coming here and they get the Acai smoothie bowls and they greatly recommend them! The atmosphere is pleasant and not loud at all. The decor was inspirational (lots of pictures of green plants, yoga poses and quotes). The staff was friendly and informative when I ask what I should try. My family loves this place for a Saturday morning healthy treat! The peanut butter açaí bowls are the best! My kids beg for them on the weekends. I also love their green juices for a good dose of vitamins and healthy greens. One of these days I am going to try their three day cleanse/detox program. It looks good! If you value knowing what ingredients are in your food, then you will love Nekter! Everything is made to order so it is super fresh. Is Nekter's REAL food smoothie or REAL food juice more expensive than a say, Smoothie King? Absolutely, but you get what you pay for. My son and I went today and I ordered him a kid smoothie and myself a 16oz of the same smoothie and the lady behind us got the same thing as well. We are watching because my 14 month old loves watching blenders. The girl made all ours at once in the same blender, but when she got to filling up the kid size at the end it was half full and then she was out.So she takes an inch or so from one of the 16oz cups and leaves the other completely full. Gives the full one to the lady behind us and gives me two that are about an inch to inch and a half empty each. Just because you move the smoothie around doesn't mean you still didn't give me half of a kids size that I ordered. Also, any sort of acknowledgement when a customer walks in would go a long way. I've stood at the counter for several minutes without even a "I'll be right with you" or a "hi" when I walk in. I probably won't be back. read more

I love the juices provided here. I give it a 3 bc they are lacking in a few areas that can easily be improved. Last time I visited they sold me a glass Topo Chico and didn't have a bottle opener in the store. If you're going to sale an item ensure your customers can enjoy the product. The sales lady was kind and did allow me to trade it for a juice shot. Today I'm in here again and am the only person in here. They are insisting I wait 10 minutes for my single juice order so they can fulfill the online orders. One would hope they would accommodate the in person customer and make the single juice instead of having me wait while they continue to fulfill multiple on-line orders. Some of the workers there take entirely too long to make a smoothie. The order of operations should be re-evaluated to improve overall efficiency. I work in the shopping center & I stopped by before work to grab a smoothie bowl. I arrived 25 minutes before I had to clock in to be sure that I had time to grab a snack before work. It was only one customer in line waiting to order when I arrived, and my order was taken within the first three minutes I was there. It took them a additional 15-20 minutes to make my order despite having 3 employees behind the counter. There were maybe 2 additional customers waiting on smaller orders but that's no excuse for the wait I experienced. They did not seem to care enough to gain a sense of urgency; In result, I was late to work. read more

Ok here's the deal - I LOVE Nekter and frequented their socal locations when I lived there. I have been to the Tyler location a few times and it's been great...until today. Stopped in to get 2 bowls with no line and it took 30 minutes. The 3 people behind the bar were in no hurry at all and were just taking their sweet time, talking and acting like no one was waiting. Unacceptable. The finished product was great but expect to wait about half an hour with no line and my guess is an hour with a line. The owner or manager of this place needs to whip these kids into shape. Gotta pick up the speed a little bit or you're gonna lose loyal customers. read more
