Although they do offer a discount for the breakfast buffet. Since most travelers want to spend as much time outside viewing each city, we usually look askance at in house dining. However, on our last day, we decided to check out the rooftop views of Amsterdam before leaving. Luckily, it was a clear morning and the 360 views made it worthwhile. The buffet spread had something for everyone and we took the time to slow down and savor the coffee, views, newspaper and selection of food. It's funny, but I think the croissants were the tastiest I have had with a real butter flavor. Even compared to the latter ones in France. If you have time before waiting for your flight or train it's worth it to indulge.

For us, it was late and we'd been wandering all over the place trying to find something to eat that wasn't booked, closed, or has a mile-long waitlist. We came across this place by accident and it was between 't Pakhuis or Amsterdam Grill next door. There wasn't really anyone there at the time besides one or two other tables, and I ended up being pretty excited that they had satay. Indo-Dutch cuisine was something I wanted to try. It was just a bit unfortunate that I was the only one in my group who wanted to, but a delight nevertheless. The two negative points for us is that (1) the place is pretty dim at night and (2) all of our dishes were cool when it got to us. Lighting was low enough that we all took out our phones in order to read the menu and food was cool that I'm pretty sure they'd been left out to sit for a while. We felt like some meat, so we ordered pork. Guess it is not the standard thing you eat with cheese fondue, but everyone has their first time, what do we know. It is the first time we have eaten cheese fondue. There was quite a lot customers that night. Don't know if its because of the Groupon deals. From we could tell there is only one chef. Oh poor guy. We couldn't even be mad at him, when we waited almost two hours to get our pork. Maybe less than that, but I lost track of time. I only know when it arrived, the fondue was already dry and burnt at the bottom. We ordered two glass of wine and one porksteak(only the steak, without any side dishes, because we somehow have the idea we could cut meat pieces and dip them in fondue). It was succulent and fall-off-the-bone when I first had them but the last few times they were dry and tasted like they've been sitting around for awhile.
