I am unsure but I believe they tried to take my Yelp review taken down, so I am having to redo it…read more The most important details regarding my experience involve one of the staff members threatening to stab me in the eye with a needle while doing bloodwork, telling me to clean paper towels up off the floor, and tossing paper towels at me telling me to "wipe my damn face" (verbatim.) So if you decide to go here keep in mind there is no wait time for a reason. After my visit I continued to throw up over 24 hours and am now having to see a specialist. Would encourage anyone with a negative experience to contact the state medical board.

The staff couldn't have been nicer, helping facilitate communication between primary care docs and the MRI facility to help get us where we needed to go! For a freestanding ER, this one tops the charts in my book! The facility itself was clean and comfortable, and they treated everyone that came in with the same kindness and professionalism you hope for. If I'm ever in need of emergency services, this will be my go to place!!

As someone who is a bit of a medical nightmare, I have been in and out of my fair share of…read moreemergency rooms and urgent care clinics in numerous cities over the past several years. This is the FIRST time I felt well taken care of that the staff actually cared and listened. I have never gone to an ER or anything alone and I felt that they were thorough and did everything they could to figure out the root of the problem seeing as I went in with something that's rather unconventional--naval pain-- and eased my anxiety about being alone. The nurse who placed my IV and drew blood only had to stick me once when normally at other ER's I am a human pin cushion. The gentlemen who did my CT scan was professional and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. Even when I was there during a shift change the new doctor was comforting and let me know even though he just walked in, I would be taken care of and they would figure out what was going on. I highly highly recommend West Texas ER over Covenant's ER and especially UMC's ER. From start to finish my experience was amazing. Like someone said they only accept private and commercial insurance so it made for a quick in and out, more intimate experience! Thanks West Texas ER!! I will only use you from now on!

Had intake lady take vitals then a 3 minute chat with an NP that basically just said can't help here need to talk to primary care provider. If I could give no stars, I would. My daughter, 23 years old, came to this clinic on 12/10. She had…read morebeen vomiting since 12/5 and could not hold anything down. They swabbed her for Flu and Covid, both were negative. No labwork drawn, no fluids given; she was told it was viral. They gave her a shot of promethazine for the nausea. She drove herself to the clinic, and if you know anything about this medication, it will affect a person's cognitive abilities. She was told that she has 20 minutes to get home before it kicks in. She then left after 45 minutes of them getting their payment and her discharge instructions together. She still did not receive discharge instructions from them. She was high as a kite when she got home. Thank God she didn't kill herself or, God forbid, someone else. Fast forward to Friday, December 12. She had a seizure around 6AM, ambulance called, she went to the ER. She was severely dehydrated, had critically low sodium due to the severe dehydration (which caused the seizure), kidney failure (creatinine of 7.8), and liver failure (lab values in the 3,000 and 5,000 range). Obviously, she was admitted to the ICU. She ended up being intubated, having to have dialysis, amongst many other things. We are now on day 18 in the hospital and still no outlook for discharge. Would drawing labs and giving her fluids have prevented this? I'm not sure. But it sure would have been a critical step to try to prevent it. I called and talked to the assistant manager regarding the lack of care from her visit and the fact that she was given an injection of medication and allowed to drive. Got zero empathy, zero help; she was not aware of their policy about giving that medication. She didn't know what the policy was for the providers at their previous places of employment regarding the administration of this medication and how it differs from the current one. Common sense would tell anyone, if a medication affects a person's cognitive function, they should not be allowed to drive. PERIOD! If she would have had a wreck, this clinic would have been liable for that. Sorry for the long post but please, do not take your loved ones to this clinic. We got really close to losing our daughter at 23 years old. After speaking to them, they do not care. There was no concern or remorse for the situation. Find a provider that takes their job seriously and cares about patient's health and getting them better.
