This place was amazing in the NICU BUT once we got to floor 6 it went to ! Lazy lazy floor a few were exceptional! NOT clean but that is the whole hospital inside and out! Cigarette butts everywhere and I mean everywhere trash everywhere. The room our friend was in the floor was filthy for 2-4 days so sticky we had to take water and sanitizer put on the floor and wipe up with paper towels. Outside the doors as you get off elevator was filthy and hadn't been cleaned in god knows when. The Bathrooms filthy throughout! The halls and waiting rooms flight NOT stocked that's for sure. Horrible horrible horrible. The care after ICU was awful. I'd go to UMC before here it's clean and the outside the grounds is highly clean.

As soon as I got to umc they gave me meds to counteract the reaction for the other nurse to tell me "there's not SHIT wrong with you"

horrible there with no feeling in my right leg waiting room 8 1/2 hours started having a allergic reaction was cussed at by "charge nurse little blonde with pink highlights then I asked security what I can do he said nothing talking to 911 on the phone and the wannabe security that saw I was being treated like shit by triage he proceeded to tell me to go stand out in the cold and rain everything soaked mind you I've been in pain for days and now my face is swelling. lucky the Ems picked me up and took me to UMC immediately put a iv in and treated the allergic reaction. I wish I had the name of the charge nurse and the body cam footage of the security RUIZ harassing me but I will peruse the fact that my face was swelling and she said and I quote "theres not shit wrong with you get out my triage" unacceptable unprofessional rude and just unorganized wish I could talk to higher ups but I keep getting the run around! This is 4/29/25

6:00 am and the surgical waiting room is FiLTHY. Really sad that they do an amazing remodel and then just let it go. It is down right nasty in here. Where is food and drink all over the floor and tables. If they don't clean in the evening when there are no surgeries, and it is still nasty at 6:00 am - when do they clean it? Once a week- MAYBE.

In the waiting room.

Neighbors Emergency Center - Bill #1. Excessive charges for a cut finger. It was not hanging off the bone either. Unbelievable.

My son went into the facility for a minor cut on his finger. He was in and out in 30 minutes…read more That's where the good news stops. He paid $993 at the facility for his treatment. My insurance company was charged over $5,500. Now my son has an additional bill for $934!! Total: $7,500! What the actual hell is going on? We tried to call their billing line and were told they can charge whatever they want since they are private. And they aren't willing to bring down the cost. When asked how much this would've cost if we had no insurance, they told us $400 total. But since I have insurance they'll try to gig my son for $1,800 in addition to the $5,500 paid by my insurer. I'm thinking about legal council and open to suggestions. I'm certainly filing separate complaints with the Texas Medical Board in the next 5 days on: 1) Neighbors Emergency Center 2) Lubbock Texas Emergency Center 3) Altus Exceptional Physician Group, and 4) Dr. John Lang. If you have any other suggestions on who I can file a complaint with, I'd love your input because they don't make it easy to tell who is a governing body about unethical situations like this. These people are dishonest. NOTE: I'm not sure if these excessive charges are fraudulent tor not. I may try to work with my insurance company to find out if any of them are. I attached both bills where there are two identically named charges and the same Description code. Who knows? I believe there are maximums to what a facility can charge for what was minimal medical care. This is Unbelievable. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

I highly recommend Neighbors Emergency Center. The staff there provided exceptional care. Best Children's hospital in Lubbock!!!! We've always had wonderful experiences there!!!! They have…read morethe best doctors!!!! Kind of sad that my son will be turning 18 soon and won't be able to go here when he needs to. But he can go to the Covenant Medical Center hospital for adults, which is just as great!!!!!

Delivered my baby here loved the nurses and DR 5/5 for them, the hospital itself isn't very…read morecomfortable and pretty average but it's a hospital so I didn't expect much.. my biggest complaint the billing department..... I had my baby around 3:00 in the morning and a lady from billing came in around 7:00 AM demanding a payment or we would have to pay a huge price (we were cash pay and didn't have insurance) i was still drugged and loopy from the medication they gave me for my C-section and I told her that . I told her we would pay them but to come at a later time when I'm in a state where I can fully understand what's going on or she can wait for my husband to gets back from and she said "no I don't have time to wait and need to collect now or you will be paying a huge fee " I told her she can wait if she needs the money that bad... my husband eventually came back from talking to family in the lobby and handled the situation, I asked if we could make payments and she said yes but we no longer got a discounted price and we were going to have to pay triple to quadruple the discounted price that's a huge jump and I'm not shocked she couldn't tell me that price upfront. (How are you going to demand $ but not know all the details????) Demanding money like that was very distasteful especially considering my mental state not being in a good state due to the medication... the lady was extremely rude about me asking to wait for my husband. Wish I could give a bigger rating for my nurses and Dr but the billing department made that experience terrible
